I grew up during the 70s and O.J. was the most dynamic running back that I ever saw. 3 guys standout to me from the 70s: 1. O.J. Simpson, 2. Walter Payton, 3. Earl Campbell. Back then Running backs were as big of stars as the starting QB, because most teams ran the ball 70% of the time.

as a kid i saw OJ play at giants stadium that '79 season with 49ers , i remember late in the game with the giants winning comfortably he had like a 10 yard run after getting stuffed on most of his earlier runs and the entire stadium mostly giants fans cheered, everyone loved OJ, i used to have an OJ doll that came with different outfits like a bills uniform and an army uniform and an astronaut from some of his movie roles

Sadly, I also saw Ron Goldman’s father and sister come out as well with very somber looks on their faces. It was surreal to see them all in person after watching them on the tv during the criminal trial. I just happened to be in LA and staying a couple of blocks away near the Pier where the motel desk clerk advised me to go check out the Courthouse. I arrived there just in time.
