I was always told that "show don't tell" mostly applies to emotional scenes, so that the reader can infer how each character is feeling based on how they react without you telling them how each character feels.
This advice is mostly things I already knew about to some degree. However, I appreciate how analytical, non judgmental, and overall earnest the tone of this video is. It serves as a good reminder.
Great tips, the second one makes me think of the problem with 2 anime I've seen recently (both based around tcg games) where the protagonist is new to the game but wins every single match they're in which just made me not care.
Not me introducing a character only to kill them in the next chapter just for the plot. "James, the selfless and courageous son and brother, only 15 years of age, tragically passed away while saving his family. His bravery will forever be remembered, and his sacrifice will never be forgotten." He was killed by a dragon to save his siblings. Eaten in half but manage to stab the dragon's brain from inside its mouth.😅😅😅 On wattpad "The Royal Gambit :The curse of the monster-king"
