GROW Your Cane Corso to MAXIMUM SIZE!

  • Some things are out of control when it comes to our dogs but some things are not. You may think that getting your dog to grow to their maximum potential is totally out of your hands but that is actually not the case. You play a massive role in how big your Cane Corso can get. Everything is limited to their genetic potential BUT why not get the most out of that genetic potential if you want a BIG DOG?

You may not think you play a role in the size of your dog but you truly do! There are things you can do to help maximize your dogs genetic potential to grow as large as they possibly can. As you can probably guess one thing I discuss is a proper micro-nutrient dense diet filled with whole foods coming from a RAW Diet. A raw diet has so many health benefits to your dog that there is not even enough time in the day to list them all. In short let me use this analogy with kibble vs a proper raw diet. Would you have grown to your maximum healthy potential if you ate the same exact cereal every single day of your entire life? NO YOU WOULD NOT. To me giving your dog kibble is the equivalent to that. Having dogs my entire life and having dogs on kibble my entire life with the exception of Bruce Wayne and my Akita we would randomly feed raw I am not going to sit here and say your dog cannot live a happy long life. I have had dogs live over 14 years on kibble. But would that instead of been 15, 16, 18 years on a healthy diet that is fit for dogs? I can say that having my Cane Corso on a raw diet has been a game changer for him from his digestion, getting rid of diarrhea, a shiny coat that BARELY SHEDS and the list goes on and on! Please only do a raw diet with your dog if you understand their needs. You do not want to create any nutrient deficencies creating health issues. You can grow their muscle but can't change their frame. Mostly depends on parents and genetics. Bulking them up too much though can put extra stress on their joints, lead to problems as they age. That said, your Corso looks in great shape.

My boy is a year old and about 105lbs. To some that might be considered small. But he's healthy, on a raw diet, gets good exercise and can run circles around his malinois sister. Health > size.

Exactly. If he's healthy and muscular - there's NOTHING more you can do. This video is bull. Exercise and food. The only effect you can have is making it malnourished or fat. My sisters got a 16 month girl that's 140 lbs. They have 10 acres and she eats basically anything she wants but mostly kibble with lean meat. Calories and exercise.
Healthy foods for qual of life and health. But size will be acheived with protein calories and genetics
And 105 lbs is enough for your male to be stronger than almost any dog that isn't a genetically bigger mastiff

    • @miked.7722
      @miked.7722 2 ปีที่แล้ว

That's not small for CC he will hit 120 easy maybe 130 that's a lot of dog, and he will be more agile than a 150lb CC. The big thing is high quality food, proper exercise and not being fat. I seriously doubt your dog is fat. Actually Bruce Wayne is a little smooth. Sounds like you are taking great care of your boy.

I want a Cane Corso so bad I've been binge watching nothing but Corso vids for a week. The cost could range from 1500 to 8500 from my research. They are well worth it! What I love about them most is not only are they guardians but you can see the love and devotion they have for their owner. I'm looking your Corso in the eyes and I can see it. I use to own a 120lb American bully and mastiff mixed. He was massive and a loyal companion. He was very intimidating and he demanded respect everywhere we went. Absolutely hated other dogs a tweak I couldn't train out of him. That was just his personality. Anyhow you have one beautiful Corso. Lucky to have him!

I'm glad you mentioned two things: 1. Diet and 2. Neutering. He may one day go without a meal. This worried me at first, but I realized that he would sleep a lot and eat less, on certain days. Then he would eat like a mad man the next. Read your dog, as you say. Now for neutering...I don't want to however I'm going back to work soon and I can't place him in doggie camp because neutering is required, as he's not. I'm working with leaving him home alone for 15 minute intervals, soon it will be 30 min. I don't want to neuter him, and making a decision is killing me. Any suggestions?

Thank you for your videos and approach. I really appreciate it. We've been a Rottie household for 30 years now. Always at least one in the house but most of the time two. Both of the males we've had a long the way were huge boys (one topped out at 160 and the other topped out at 130 but as he's gotten older we have trimmed him down to take the weight off of his joints) so I do have the knowledge and experience of larger, stubborn breeds. For some reason of late, I am attracted to the Cane Corso. It could be my Italian heritage rising up but I am doing my homework to see if the next dog we add to the home is a Cane Corso. Thanks again and keep up the good work! RJ

Wow 160 for a rotti is MASSIVE! As for leadership and training goes having Rottis for 30 years a Corso would be easier to train. So if they fit your lifestyle and what your looking for any Corso would be in good hands with you guys.

@@jasoncorey Everyone says the same thing about Sammy's size (short of Samson). He was a genetic freak who broke the bindings on the largest crate they make by pushing on them as he slept and the sweetest boy ever. He scared people due to his massive size but he didn't have a mean bone in his body. Thanks for the input. I appreciate it.

Thank you Jason for all your invaluable information. This is the dog breed I am owning next. Are you breeding or are you planning on breeding Master Wayne? I enjoy your channel so much and compliments on such a well behaved gentleman...I often wonder how you make it down the road with him :)

Just came from the vet where I saw the happiest puppers ever, it's ridiculous. Our vet loves animals and there was even a case of a runaway that came to the vet's office.

My pup is blue 13weeks at 37 pounds. AKC FCI FSC multiple year grand champion father and grandfather. His brother is half his size. They all come out different. By far smartestest puppy I've ever worked with blind in one eye and I'm in a wheelchair quad. He was breed for good temperament and size.

Don’t keep them in tact , I deeply regret what I did to my boy Ozzie doing that , it gives them cancer in the balls , prostate and whatever else . His life was cut short because of that stupid decision and failure to get that done for him and feel horrible . He was such a special soul too and he deserved so much better than that .
Get your dog fixed , it’s not about certain “qualities” you want , it’s about his quality of life.
      I’ll never do that again
