Hi off the exhaust topic where can I find the spacer for the ecu ,I'm in cape Town south Africa, also is it better to repair ecu or replace if I can find one that is.. Amaan Cape Town
@@AutoAutopsy when putting the bolts through the sprocket and into the new pump, I had to loosely bolt the new pump In place, when it was too tight, I couldn’t get the bolts started. Good luck!
Nice, my hirsch exhaust is a bit bassier, but this sounds very similar I assume you might need to cut the exhaust tubes a bit shorter at the middle connection to slide them in a bit more
@@AutoAutopsy shorten the downpipe pipe. I have also done it this way to move the tailpipes more in. Are the rear mufflers already touching the hanging points when the exhaust is hot or is there still enough room?
@@werner-gunterschmidt1619I can’t shorten the downpipe pipe, since it’s already barely crosses over enough with the big muffler under the body. Cutting it shorter would just make the problem worse, unfortunately. If I didnt have that issue, that makes total sense for fixing the tips sticking out! 😁👍🏼
Guess I’m wrong, haha. Just a bunch, whoops! Thankfully I already reinstalled it since I had to remove the downpipe for the water pump I’m currently doing
about to do this but on a genuine saab downpipe..... for those trying to do this job and find that his missing some steps due to already having a different down pipe, there is a guide for kronas downpipe instalation which should work on any downpipe you might have..... amazing videa overal.... been waiting for someone to do this video for the b207R
Thanks! Yeah, there’s some misc little brackets and head shields you also need to remove for the stock exhaust. WIS also has some good instructions too, if needed
Hi love this video of installing new exhaust system…need your help am looking for that same exact exhaust set up for my 2003 saab 9-3 vector which don’t come dual but looking to make it dual…been searching maptune and can’t find it at all,I need everything you install on your Saab, could send me link to order mines I’ll greatly appreciate.
Nice clip as always mate! Catback is 3" or 2.5"? Thinking about whole 3" JT system but if Maptune is the same I would go for it. Thx in advance for reply
any tips on using that adjustable wrench to get the bottom O2 sensor out, or should i just go get a solid 22mm wrench? I was about to rent the O2 tool and wondered if I got enough room to get the sockets and an extension in there!
Would replacing the muffler alone give you a way to that sporty sound? I have a 2002 9-3 that I would like to sound better but not necessarily replace the whole system. Any recommendations?
@@AutoAutopsy Thanks the 6:27 part I missed now I get it, very slick operation there. Awesome and thanks! I just missed a 9-3 Turbo X the other day but I'm also very happy with my LR Viggen.
Hello, I have a Saab 9-3 xwd 2l t 2011. The revs drop too much for some reason, but when I disconnect the clutch pedal sensor from the cruise control revs are ok. What could be the cause?
So you’re saying the car tries to die and won’t run smoothly? Sounds like you might have a nasty vacuum leak but it’s hard to say. It could be a lot of things
Hello I would like your opinion. I want to buy a new car and I am looking for a Saab 9-3 turbo with 210hp automatic for 5000€. I would like to know if the maintenance of this car is expensive and how good the reliability is?
I would like this kit more if it had flanged connections (much more secure) rather than slip joints. Having to use 2 clamps on one joint is a bit meh to me.
@@ChiYoungKC In addition, when you live in areas with more wet weather than Jacob probably experiences, the threads are not the last part to dry up, keeps the rust a bit more away.
I’ll be selling the entire exhaust whole for cheap. I’m not too keen on selling just the downpipe, sorry. Feel free to send me an email or DM on Instagram if interested. Both are in the video description 👍🏼
It moves because the engine moves/shifts and the entire system is on rubber hangers to allow for flexibility. Having it in sections makes install/removal far easier!
@AutoAutopsy mine has krona 3 inch downpipe with 3 inch piping and race cats and doesn't move because I weld just towards the exhaust muffler, and it sounds amazingly, all custom with no movements, absolutely it has hangers before the muffler exhaust, just one good weld at the end, one good canister exhaust, no dual because it's 2.0T maybe a V6 will be good flow air with dual, I just love doing my custom DIY projects to have own creativity 👍🏻, you should also change your Turbo to Xt compressor upgrade and tune the car at Stage 5 maptun, great response also comes with 630cc high flow fuel injectors, the car Flys like a jet at 315hp to 420trq
@@edgarzuniga8504I’d love to do those upgrades someday, but it’s not in the budget rn. Still have lots of cool things planned for it in the short term though
Well done Jacob! So much more of an aggressive look. Great that you do it solo, too!
Thanks Bill! I’m super happy with how it turned out
Breathes the way they should. Perfect.

Damn the car is looking so nice! Nice work
Thanks!
I love seeing a fellow 03 midnight blue 93 being worked on

Great upgrade, I fitted a twin exhaust to my 9-3 last year, I love it
Very nice!
Man the 9-3 sounds even more awesome with the new exhaust! I can't wait to one day upgrade my exhaust on my Scarab Green 9000 to a maptun exhaust.
Thanks! I’m sure that’ll be a great upgrade for your 9k 👍🏼👊🏼
Keep it up! Great work and it's helping me push myself to get my SAAB fix d up for SOC this year
Thanks Ian! Curious as to which of your cars you’ll be bringing 👀🤔
Amazing!!! It's complete now!!
Thanks! Getting there 👊🏼👍🏼
Wow! It's a fire! 🔥 Looks like very cool! It's admirable! Sound is very good too! The car has been transformed and become very beautiful! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I agree. Vbands would be much better
It’s possible to do, but would also make the exhaust system much more expensive
^ glad Maptun keeps it affordable!
Mine were just installed and the tips hang out way too far. The piping is in as far as it can go
I see you messaged me and it looks like you got it sorted 👍🏼
Yes, finally. However, we will work it a little more to get it perfect. It’s a great upgrade.
Turn the clamps around so the dont get stuck.
How will they get stuck?
Stuck around bumps or low clearance places when going over them

Why does the exhaust move so much, but welding it will eliminate that air exhaust leak
