Good men are not hard to find. The problem is that as we grew up ,we’re surrounded by a certain type of relationships be it with out parents, brothers or others, therefore, we tend to choose men based on what has been modelled for us.. sometimes we need to look at our thoughts and behaviours when it comes to men.

    1. Express your love of being a woman. (Embrace femeninity)
    2. Be demure (instead of proud to inspire the protective nature of men).
    3. Be tender, soft hearted to help him decompress from the challenges of life.
    4. Allow him to lead.
    5. Be soft spoken or calm instead of yelling or becoming aggressive to help him receive your ideas.
    6. Be open minded and open hearted so you can follow his lead and provide balance.
    7. Respect his space, by not pushing him to express himself beyond his comfort zone.
    8. Express your love for others

I’m a very outgoing, extroverted woman and in past relationships I’ve always been pushed into the masculine role. I would lead the dance because he didn’t know how to, I would start convos, I would plan dates, I was always the one who made the first move because I got tired of waiting on him. So naturally everybody thought that I wouldn’t want a very masculine man. They were very very surprised when they met my husband. I just think this goes to show how society pushes young women who are outgoing to be independent and the whole “ I don’t need a man” when what they really want is their man to take the lead

I think the important thing to note here is 'be selective who you open up to'. I used to be like this, but I have met too many men claiming to be 'highly empathetic', only to show up as very controlling and manipulative. So if you are in a relationship with someone you can trust, go for it. :) But a man who demand that you behave this way, without respecting you, don't be too soft with him. Because chances are he will abuse the trust you give him. Don't treat him like a king, if he treats you like a peasant.

    • @JasmyneTheodora

Very much looking forward to the video on women not "mothering" their husbands/boyfriends. I've seen this phenomenon play out with friends, it was rather disturbing to witness and when I realized that this dynamic was at the core of their relationship, it made my skin crawl. I definitely think the topic needs to be seriously addressed.

Your video really shook me. it resonates with me and i agree with what you're saying. until now Ive been very lonely, I seem to attract only "weak" men in my life. i think because in my family i had a lot of conflict with super masculine men, I tried to fight them head on and left my feminine traits behind. I really regret becoming hard and defensive. I hope I can one day be more the version of myself that I long to be and to find the right man

  • @jeshieldbarroga6122
    @jeshieldbarroga6122 ปีที่แล้ว +5

That is very true, my ex was very attracted to all of that but it was something I was doing something naturally but we found that we weren’t compatible. One thing I’d say, to embrace your feminine side, a guy will love that and also to be confident and value yourself. If you find that you are being more masculine… you should not be with them… because they’ll be a burden. It’s up to any woman if they want to… but what’s going to happen if your husband doesn’t support you or is afraid everything and you have to control everything because he isn’t helping?? Be with a guy who embraces your feminine side not in a toxic way but embraces the kind parts and love you in a kind, and patient way. I love these tips and it makes me happy that I’ve changed so much.

I need a video on how to be soft spoken because growing up in a household where mom always raised her voice whenever she got irritated or whenever she got into an argument with my father. I just picked up her habits and I feel bad because whenever me and my spouse get into an arguement I yell.. say stuff I don’t mean.. disrespect him and then after the heat cools it makes me feel awful but I have a hard time with self control I let my feelings control me 😔

I am 30 and struggled my whole life with men seeing me tough and difficult to approach. For many years, I thought it was them the problem and did not deserve me.
But recently, I decided to self reflect and realised that I needed to change my ways to be a better woman for myself but also attract the type of men I want.
I think sometimes, us “strong women” are this way because we have no other choice but also because it is a protective mechanism. I am the most sensitive and loving person ever but I keep this very harsh front because I’m scared to be hurt.
But I love how your content is making me want to reconnect with my more feminine and soft side while understanding is the natural strength that God gave me. May the Lord bless you for this. 🙏🏿

    I wanted to clarify something:
Around 6:23, I said “Most men have a tough life, universally so compared to women of the same background.”
The way I worded that, it sounds like I believe men have had tougher lives than women overall. I don’t think men have had overall tougher lives than women… it’s impossible to quantify/evaluate how tough a man’s life is vs a woman’s life and I do not want to discount the challenges women face. I have also said in other videos that it’s impossible & unproductive to compare. So I just wanted to clarify that… I definitely should have worded that better. My apologies. Thank you so much for watching and I’ll make sure to do better ❤

I have all these traits. Confident but demure, love dressing nice, receptive but not demanding. But I was instead taken advantage of. AGAIN and AGAIN. Life was extremely rough on me, more so than most men (or anyone) I know. So it's hard for a woman like me who has a rare set of harsh difficulties and forced to be more hard in my outlook, to find a man who is strong enough and wise enough to protect me. I don't feel I'm smarter than anyone but when it comes to life's tough realities, I've unfortunately had to mature a lot faster in some ways, and so I can't find anyone on the same wisdom level. I can't be someone's peaceful person anymore, I need someone who can give ME peace. Because it was stolen from me :,(

In terms of how you talk, that varies on culture. I used to think I needed to talk more softly until I married into a Nigerian family and saw that many Nigerian women are great examples of the biblical submission to the husband but still very much speak up and probably would be considered loud in the West. If you find yourself a strong man, I think you need to worry less about talking softly.

yesss. I'm nigerian and all my life people have called me loud. It made me hate the way I talk. I tried to change how I spoke, but I give up. Many people told me that they wish they can speak up like me, so I learned that it really depends on the person

I SO SO love that she made the distinction that a Christian wife should submit to her Christian HUSBAND. So many men are expecting for their girlfriend, side chick, Godless situationship etc to submit to them and I do not think that is a reasonable expectation. No judgement at all for these types of relationships I just find it unproductive when some men complain that women in that type of relationship are not submissive to them.

Thank you so much for this video Jasmyne, I feel like a lot of young girls are lacking this kind of information in their lives, (including myself) so I am incredibly grateful that you took the time to make this video! when you were on the topic of demure women, I was actually thinking of the character Bella before you brought her up, so I was surprised when you did! This was such a great video, and I think you should definitely make a video on how to avoid mothering your man if you were considering it already! I would love to see a video on how to find a man who is right for you and how to go about expressing your attraction to him, or how to tell if a guy likes you, modern dating is so confusing to me as a young female with Christian values, who is not even allowed to date at my age, and I don't want to be lost when my time actually comes to search for someone. Love you!

As a man it's interesting to hear some things that are obvious from my pov but you imply not to women, and also to notice ways in which modern culture discourages men from valuing some of these attributes too.
Regarding innocence/purity, I presume the same trait is seen by women in men who do not corrupt their sense of honour and principles etc.?
I often tell men that to have true honour in the old way, one must have a heart that is compassionate that can direct the acts of valour, which are otherwise seen as ugly machismo all too common in the modern era.

I don't tend to dress really girly. But I have noticed my nature is to be modest, shy, tender and understanding. I get loud sometimes, but it's usually when I'm having fun or mad. And it takes a long time for me to get angry. I do have trouble accepting being treated like a lady. Not because I don't want to but because I'm not used to it. I try to allow them to do things for me because I know men love that and I love it to. Just unfamiliar with it.
