    Ladies, no matter how hard you try, you can never change a man. A man will only change if he wants to, not because you want him to change. Also, NEVER EVER get into a relationship with a man who needs "fixing", that is NOT your calling and can definitely have a negative effect on your femininity and peace. How you found the man is how he is going to be for a big chunk of your relationship and maybe even forever as it is up to him to decide whether he wants to change. As a feminine woman, your peace of mind is important, you are not a rehabilitation center for broken men, nor are you a hospital ward. Accepting these building projects can have HEAVY NEGATIVE EFFECTS on your femininity, including, stress, trauma, and unnecessary hurt, and can even lead you to become more rigid and hard and lose your femininity as a result of being in a harsh relationship.

What advice do you give when we have/decide to work in environments that require us to work w men and they don’t take our advice, even when we know that what we’re saying would help the group overall succeed? And it’s an important matter at hand? I’m a creative and work alongside different genders and even though parts of ur advice are right - I can’t just avoid working with men just bc they’re hardheaded (perfect world tho - am I right 🤣). @@DianaGarcia-jr7ve frame your advice as questions and inquiries, rather than advice and let them think out/discuss/decide the direction they are going to go and also ask if they have tried specific paths or people who may help guide him, lastly as this video said ask for his help deciding on what direction to take (can we discuss how to go about getting this going) and once you are having that conversation really listen to his suggestions and also bring in yours. He has to be receptive to your opinions for it to feel like opinion rather than authority which a lot of us instinctively rebel against (men and women).

    "An effeminate man is not feminine just because he lacks masculinity." Jasmyne, this is why you're my favorite TH-camr right now. This point was so helpful on multiple levels, and answers several questions I have had about the whole femininity thing. I'll name two (sorry, this is going to be long):
    1. It identifies a major difference between the new agey "divine feminine energy" philosophy and more traditional views on gender (I think). The new agey folks speak as though femininity and masculinity are modes that men and women can both step into and out of as needed. Traditionalists don't believe that, but rather believe that femininity is a trait that characterizes women who conduct their lives in accordance with their nature as women, and masculinity is the male version of that. Effeminacy is not a man stepping into his feminine energy, but is rather a corrosion of masculinity. Same goes for women who aren't feminine.
    2. I've wondered for a while why a lot of your tips for how to be feminine could apply to men as well. A lot of your advice, e.g. "be humble", "be quick to listen and slow to speak", isn't necessarily gender-specific, but rather are just things people in general should do to correct character flaws. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I just realized that's exactly the point: women who develop strong character will increase their femininity by allowing their innate nature to shine through, free from the bad habits that obscure it. Likewise, men who strengthen their character will see an increase in masculinity because it's those character flaws that cause them to be effeminate.

      You hit the nail on the head. I think the rhetoric around “masculine women” and “feminine men” is a result of modern gender theory. Sure, there are women who function more in a masculine manner but they’re not masculine in essence. They’re not masculine the way that men are masculine (which is raw masculinity). And naturally, human beings, men and women, have a lot of similarities which is why a lot of what I say can be universally applicable. Humility should be embraced by everyone. But it’s expression is different… humility, for instance, allows a wife to be a better follower of her husband and humility allows a husband to be a better leader. Same virtue but different out-workings! The same virtues allow us to better function in our different roles.

      @@JasmyneTheodora Yes, I think the gender theorists and new agers talking about energy confuse their imagination with reality. They try to impose their imagination on reality. They don't live spiritually and submit to reality. When you are humble in that way then you have a firm enough grasp of reality to be firm in what I experience in masculine ways and women experience in femine ways, not because we imagine it but because we are it.

    I'm a man. He wants to be your hero, and that's the only way he knows to serve you. If you try to command him, he will either withdraw, lash out, or eventually break. If you give him the opportunity to be your hero, he will darn well try.
    Oh but you have to be direct. Half the time we can't even understand women's "hints", the other half the time it offends male honour because a woman expects him to serve them without the recognition that asking provides.

We’ve been married for about 10 months and I’ve been working on myself, and realizing that he truly IS masculine. Not “my idea of the ideal masculine man,” but a true masculine man in his own right. Recognizing the masculine traits that ARE (very) present in my husband has helped me to let my guard down, and I appreciate these tips on how to *encourage* certain desirable masculine traits without forcing them… and to be ok with allowing our men to find their own “flavor” of virtuous masculinity :) Thank you Jasmyne, as always, and may God bless you and your family!

    Wonderful video! I just want to note that non verbal cues are risky. Men are not clueless but they also are not mind-readers. Most men appreciate a respectful voiced opinion/ boundary. (And a man on the spectrum will require verbal instruction as they do not pick up on social cues!) My way of approaching this is … (when I’m in disagreement) very calmly and politely saying “Babe, I respect you so much but I don’t prefer xyz” and leave it at that! (When I want something) I say “I love it when you xyz” Very simple and effective. In the dinner example I might say something like “Im happy to order if you want because i respect you so much, but it really does make me feel so feminine when you order for us.” A respectful man who loves you and wants you to be happy will hear you loud and clear!

This information is incredibly valuable to creating harmony as God designed. I’ve been in a handful of relationships with emasculate men and I definitely ended up being more controlling and emasculating them even further. I definitely want to embrace and grow in my femininity and allow that to be my strength, instead of trying to take on the “masculine role”… as someone who’s reverted to that before, it is definitely exhausting and fruitless. This is something I take to heart and have been praying about and want to study.

      Girl! Take it from a 29 year old woman who saw the 20% of the lack of masculinity in my man and was so fixated on that for months and but didn’t know how to inspire him and let my masculinity down and ask for help from him and make him feel needed. I was so blind and negatively focused. I STOPPED SEEING HIM. I broke up with him and the next day I was flooded with his greatness and how good he was to me. A week later I wanted to get back together but it was so muddied and he had honestly had enough of me telling him he didn’t love me enough simply because he was taking charge being masculine and taking care of me.😢😢. But he was the same with his dearest mother and little sister. HE NEEDED ME TO SHOW HIM THE WAY. But I was so needing to work on myself and my over masculinity and that by the time I was seeing fully and regretting leaving him and asked for him back 7days later. He was too confused with me saying “you don’t love me enough and that’s why you don’t do this and that for me” I CONVINCED THE MAN THAT I LOVE THAT HE DOESNT LOVE ME AND OUR RELATIONSHIP WAS SO PURE AND GOD GIVEN AND HE WAS SO LOYAL AND RESPECTFUL. He regretted me and I have been in so much pain for the past three weeks reconciling IT ALL with myself. I pray for the day god blesses me with him again. I know the self work we are both doing while we are apart is what we needed but couldn’t do together BUT THIS BREAK FEELS SO PAINFUL.
      LISTEN TO ME ELYNA! Listen good girl!
      DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR MAN if you Troy love him and believe he loves and respects you.
      Search for all solutions and find a way to inspire him and grow with him.
      I wish I could share my everyday and thoughts with my Teddy. I PRAY GOD BLESSES ME WITH HIM AGAIN.
      (Open to new love but I KNOW HE IS MY MAN. The love and understanding I feel now for him is a million times more that I thought there was. So unconditional.)

    Hey Jasmyne! I am newly engaged and me and my fiancé are Christian. we are fairly young, me being 18 and him being 21, we really try to fall more into our Godly roles daily. It is hard considering the fact he was raised mostly by his mother and I, by both parents. So he didn't really have many quality masculine roles in his life to raise him. At the beginning of our relationship he was very insecure and somewhat codependent of me because I came into the relationship confident and whole in myself and he came in needed to be nurtured from his past. This confused the relationship a bit because it felt like I had to take charge in the dynamics of us. He was more sensitive and emotional and I was more practical and supportive.
    I had to bring the masculinity out of him and become somewhat of a teacher to him, showing him videos like yours and listening to sermons on how a Godly man should be. Now that he has discovered his sense of oneness and masculinity, it's hard for me to fully respect his decision making and control of this relationship even though it's what I've always wanted. I find myself irritated and upset when he doesn't do things my way, and I also find myself more sensitive to the things he does that are considered normal. Because he was so codependent of me at first, now anytime he hangs with friends or doesn't rush to see me I feel he doesn't want me. We have been through a lot already, and we love each other so much and want to be together. But I just want to embrace my femininity and I do want him to be the masculine foundation to sustain our relationship. I see women like you seeming to be so comfortable in their feminine and i think it's so incredibly beautiful.
    In this situation, how can I trust him wholeheartedly in all aspects and be secure in knowing that he is the Godly man I am to be with and that can lead me and a potential family?

      Women are externally inspired and men are internally influenced. This is where the Holy spirit comes into play. You may not wholehearted agree with every decision he makes but if God is directing him then there should be no issue. However, if hes making a decision that is going to crash course, go to your prayer room and ask the Holy spirit for wisdom and to fix it. The Holy Spirit will literally change his mind and change his steps back on the right path. Because you do not want to end up being a Sapphira going along with a bad decision like the one Ananias made. I have literally prayed to the Holy spirit on decisions my boyfriend has made that I ,personally didnt think was a good idea because I knew if I tried to change his mind about everything he will never learn from his mistakes and learn to lead me.

Understand the weight of responsibility that a man of God must bear that you are not required to carry by looking at examples of the great men of faith i.e. their struggles and weaknesses. Build your fiancee up and do not tear him down. Empower him to forge his own path provided that it is glorifying to God and help him when he makes mistakes.
      There are reasons why certain verses are directed to men vs women. May God guide you and your fiancee on your walk together.

      Fighting, in the right context, may actually be the healthiest way to get past this instinct. You want to challenge him to test whether he is worthy of trust. This is a problem, but the solution is easy.
      An actual fight, a little wrestling should make you feel very submissive when he pins you with minimal effort. The knowledge that you can struggle as hard as you want and he wont fail should give you a feeling of security.

    You have no idea how many times I would wish that my mom or various girls I came across should adopt this. This would've solved numerous issues with my mom who is pretty much a nag and kinda controlling. Worse she offers a false sense of free choice,
    "you can choose to help me with the grossarys or not"
    *chooses not*
    mom: *angry huff*

      @ythatesfacts ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Amira-z6k That's not what I mean, I don't want to be nagged or borderline bullied into doing things just to make sure she doesn't have a bad event. I don't expect my mom to behave like a girlfriend at all, but I would like her to be far more caring and compassionate. This would at least incentivize spending quality time which as of now is nonexistent and has been so for years on numerous things, even car pooling I'm against due to the numerous times she'd push my buttons or scream when I'm driving or not driving. (I still have those memories seared in my brain of non-stop screaming and nitpicking judgments)

      @@ellenahs5911 I don't mean to sound like an ahole but I tried to and yet she continues to say "why bother focusing on the past" (from the mistakes she made). To me it's a big middle finger to my situation. I can't tell you how many times my dad and I called her out on her bad attitude, loud and or bad tone, only to be met with "this is who I am." Also noted is the only time I heard her apologizing was when I orced an apology from her via my therapist. Even then I still don't believe her because she's regressing in th attitudes.

      @@ythatesfactsI totally understand you. My mom is 600 fireworks and has the force of a thousand soldiers. I'm not built like that. I tried to show her she isn't truly built like that either. It's difficult to get them to see the other side (understand boundaries, virtues, Christlikeness etc)
      . I'm tired of trying anyway, so I can't wait to be financially independent enough to move away and start my own family. I'm working on it though.😊 Hugs 🤗

  • @kathrinagiordani1605

    I would be careful of the language being used here. Men can be feminine and should be. Femininity and Masculinity has to do with energy. Men and women have both of these energies because it takes both genders to create life. If I as a women were to say that I am not masculine I would be disowning my father and disowning myself. This goes for men too. To deny his femininity removed men from empathizing with their mother’s and removes them from tapping into their own emotions. I agree with you in terms of a men being a leader in a partnership because as a man he is gifted with in strength, structure, stability. Women are gifted leaders in creativity, comfort, and wonder. These are gifts that have manifested in our different genders and have then passed down. Even a woman who is “chronically” vulnerable it is dangerous. I love your videos, and I agree on a lot of your points

    • @JasmyneTheodora
      @JasmyneTheodora  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’m actually doing a video on this on Sunday! But I disagree, I don’t think men have a “feminine” side. Femininity is not performative - it’s about who you are (and then we should behave in accordance with our internal essence). We are not androgynous beings. We’re either male or female - either feminine or masculine beings. Yes, we as women should integrate traits that you could place into the opposite category but it should be in a way that serves to supplement your internal essence. Not in a way that compromises it. Like compassion is a feminine trait although a good man should integrate compassion into his character in order to be a better leader (a better masculine figure). I go a lot more into this in my video though, stay tuned!

    • @JasmyneTheodora
      @JasmyneTheodora  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      This is also a slippery slope. We’ve gone from “men can be feminine” to “men can be real women and can infiltrate female spaces” to “men can have uterine implants and potentially give birth.” I’ve only met effeminate men, not men who are feminine as femininity has to do with biological makeup + inward spirit. We as women behave feminine as a reflection of who we intrinsically are but we’re not feminine merely because we behave as feminine. Hope that translates well💖

    I'd like to challenge your intro. If approached right I'd love feedback from my significant other. Hear what's attractive to them gives me something to work with. If I had ever been given the complement that they like when I'm more masculine and that it's attractive to them I would have done anything to better embody it.
