Changing Rear Shocks On Emove Cruiser To EXA Form 290 125mm, oh and i lost my go pro... yes i lost my gopro hero 5 cube but don't worry i found is and safe.
i was worried how involved changing these shocks would be but found very very simple, not i recommend the exa form 290 125mm x24mm x 24mm and there are a lot of calculation on web and aliexpress for what size to get. since these are designed for mountain bikes and not scooters keep in mind those calculations are for downward compression and only using one shock. unless your under 175 pounds i would say at least get 500 to 1000 lbs per square inch.
stay tuned as i have both how to change your handlebars video coming and have another set of shocks coming that are EXA 291 R, these are 850lbs and have dial to control how fast or slow recoil will be, i will film those being installed and used hopefully without losing the gopro again lol
side nore this works as well with speedway 5 both for front and back shocks as same design as cruiser just different front suspension.
if i can ask just one thing of voromotors please look into giving this as upgrade option on the cruiser as it makes so much diffence, i can ride for at least hour without any of the road vibration fatigue in rear leg and even having in stock for other users where dont have to wait weeks for shipping from other countries would be awesome.
to minimoters....im itching to compaire speedway5 to cruiser and see what kinds of mods i can do to that ...hint hint... lol

I loved how you touched on the fact that you can install larger shocks in place of the stock ones instead of just upgrading the shock mechanism. I was confused at first and now know how it is possible but I love how you explained that the arm is basically loose and swings down enough for larger shocks (something that is possible on most scooters)

Thank you for the video. I also want to upgrade my rear suspension. So glad you explained the different sizes of the springs. Also very happy you found your GoPro! Peace.

I believe you said 1/4 Washer, should be closer to 5/16" or 8MM. I would also remind everyone you're screwing into aluminum so you probably want to get bolts that are 5mm longer for more depth/surface area! You're totally right, the 350 lbs springs are on the weaker side

I could see the spring slowly expand when you dismount, might want to lighten the damper or else its just going to pack down and youll not get the full travel of the spring.

This is why you measure the suspension the emove cruiser uses rear shock absorbers that are used for bicycles. They are reasonably priced as well.

Damn it I was afraid to go too heavy with the shocks that I bought I went with the 750s just like you did and now everybody's saying to get the thousand pound

Couldn't find the 850lbs video? Didn't you end up making it? Would like to know the comparison. I would probably find you in the Emove FB group I guess, but try here first.
Interesting about the possibility to add a 150mm 😉

Hey Dave, great video! I have a crusier and my front hex-screw that attaches the fork to the stem broke. I noticed that that the fork connection to the stem had some movement and when I checked below, right above the tires, there are 4 screws in diamond formation and all of them were coming down. I tightened it up but after another couple of hundreds of miles, I noticed the one at the very back... the one that goes up to the stem, was lower than the others. When I tried to tighten it there was no more resistance and the head came off. I'm trying to remove it right now. - But here's my thought. What if I replaced the whole fork with the Speedway 5 fork instead? I'm going to contact some vendors and see if they sell just that part with the suspensions and see if it works. - but Hey, thanks for the instruction. Going to order one on amazon and get it replaced. Lastly, I just bought an X2 for long distance commuting. The emove cruiser is good but after about 4 miles, my back feels the bumps in the road. Take care and Happy new Year!

Nice video… But, wearing “headphones or ear-things” is NOT cool or safe thing to do when driving an escooter on any public road… anywhere! Also, Also, you CANNOT use 150 mm shocks on the Emove Cruiser as you briefly mention... remember basic geometry...from the center of a circle the radius is always the same regardless of the angle from the center?

Fir that weight I would go 1k each shock. I haven't found exact science but figure about 3x your weight per shock and can adjust from there.
