I’m a sucker for creepy atmospheric games so I’m super excited to see how this goes!!
It's a great mod! I tried to play it earlier during quarantine, but it kept crashing my Skyrim. I did clear out the castle and found some cool weapons though.
Combat gameplay overhaul has a dodge ability built in, script free, id recommend giving that shot.
TK dodge is probably a better choice here, cgo's rolling dodge is pretty obnoxious if you don't play in third person.
@@bbunters TK dodge can have a delay if you have a few scripted mods. Even if it's a slight half a second delay that's still significant.

@@bbunters tk dodge is no good compared to cgo, plus you can hotkey it to controller it works perfect
If you want to use the Hot-key doge, then CGO also uses a script. But there are way more options.

I cant be the only one who wished there was a part 2 that allowed us to take over the island and rebuild it. There is already that castle and a port city as well as a harbor with those water gates

Hey George I love your commentary and videos for years now. But I always wondered why you don't use perk mods like Vokrii or Ordinator or even something light like Adamant perk overhaul. Aren't vanilla perks too...vanilla?
I've just finished Vigilant with your walkthrough as my guidance. Now I'm hungry for more mods similar. Let's see how this mod will attract me the way Vigilant did to me (I still can't move on from Vigilant dammit!)
I Play with ordinator perks mod, it provides you with some augments for the dodge roll and you have the evasive leap perk which gives you an i-frame for a sec by simply jumping(has a cooldown so it can’t be spammed/abused). I think there was a simple mod that gives you dodge roll outside the sneak skill tree and didn’t need much hassle it was TK‘s Dodge roll if I remember it right.
I can't believe I still haven't played this mod yet. So far this looks fun... :)

i've played darkend on legendary edition, but the problem was it was taxing on my computer, so despite crashing alot, i managed to explore and compelte the island of darkend, it did have a dark souls vibe, it is fun

Is that bared house also there on special edition? Because I looked for it all over on the legendary version and couldn't find it anywhere.
Just finished this mod on my playthrough still feel like there is more to explore on the island but damn this mod was difficult on legendary difficulty I had to lower the difficulty on a couple bosses especially the last one he was a pain
By the way I love your vids and hope your Skyrim channel and stuff skyrockets
yea Nemesis is annoying to get working, but from experience with the mod, dodging is super useful with the 'endgame' of the mod.

Vanilla skyrim is a dark fantasy but having this mod add that darker shadow of dark fantasy.
So TUDM is not very easy to understand. You want to set sneak in the Ultimate Dodge mod to left ctrl. In your Skyrim setting in game you want to go into controls and set sneak to whatever you want your dodge key to be. It is weird but that is how it works, also worth noting. TUDM will not activate properly until after you leave the starting cell if you are using an Alternate Start mod. You can configure everything before that but it will not function until after. Hope this helps someone.
If I recall, I'm pretty sure George did this on a stream. I think that was the first ZP stream I watched.

There’s a lot of mods that are inspired by dark souls. I mean there’s mods inspired by any and everything, but dark souls themed or inspired ones seem to pop up the most consistently.
Makes sense, I suppose. They’re both dark medieval fantasy so if you like it one you’ll probably like the other.
At least with quests, settings, combat, and themes. With aesthetics to your characters a lot resemble second life.
Im sad that LE version hasn't been updated for years.
Oh and fun fact, the bows have Bleeding.
They bleed you for around 10 or so seconds
The bleeding can stack
The bleeding has an actual chance of killing you if you take too many stacks
_And you can disenchant one and enchant weapons with it._

Nope. Different mod author, and was even released much earlier than Vigilant.

TK dodge might work. Also apparently ultimate combat and wildcat are supposed to be dark souls like.

Forgot to exit the port warehouse door on the top floor by the wardrobe with the false back to see what could be there.

I know u had hard time installing nemisis engine and it didn't work but I would recommend u to try again it's definitely worth it.😁
Yep you can also use every fnis mod on nemisis plus nemisis up to date and lot of other mods that fnis can't use.No reason anymore to use fnis

Anybody knows how to enhance the weapons in this mod? I really like the fine weapon but can’t really enhance it.
i always use the armor and weapons the mod gives me once i find the weapon type i want (two handed) and heavy armor

Although, every time I see the borders of the new map being poorly executed makes me unhappy again.😊Seriously, I haven't yet come across a new land mod that would hide the square ass borders -- the uggliest thing ever that one can imagine in TESV Skyrim. While the enemies are really challenging. Not really a fan of this mod. I understand the emptiness of the world space makes it darker and creepy, but came away bored to tears. No doubt a great mod for some but not for me. For potential Halloween mods clockwork and death consumes all are better. Maybe even beyond reach which is a dark mod with alot of gore and dark themes. Haven't played vigilant as it's not ported to xbox. If I had to guess, its better than darkend too.
