When I sing in my head, this is how I sound
Tate has a certain quality that can't be replicated, like his sustained power for high notes and his vibrato technique, but man, you did an AMAZING JOB!! Better than Todd (Current Ryche' singer). Congrats, man, that was really impressive!!

I have been a Queensryche fan since i first heard them perform their 1st of many DeGarmo hits.. Queen of the Ryche. For a singer... trying to cover anything sang by Geoff Tate is a monumental task! He is a beast behind the mic & is no doubt the greatest vocalist that has ever lived! His vocal skills are unlimited & is unmatched by anyone! It really does take serious balls to even attempt to cover him but son.. Bravo.. you did an amazing job! I am highly impressed!

OK So you nailed it. Like really nailed it. but.... I have listened to this song religiously everyday for 39 years. I have listened to this song 20-30 times a day for the last several weeks and after listening to you sing this for the first time just now, I have an amazing new appreciation for Geoff Tate. He has kind of become somewhat of an asshole over the years but there is no one on earth that can sing like he did in his prime. (I went to the same high school as Geoff)
That being said, I have listened to a ton of people try to mimick Geoff and some are pretty good.
You are the best so far.
Thanks a lot! Tate was one of my earliest influences as a singer, back in those days I would try to copy his sound to get the notes and tone similar to his , so in a way I got his style memorized still without really copying him anymore if that makes any sense!
