Its worth noting the 100+ xl can fit 100 dragonsheilds in dragonsheild resealable innersleeves plus a slidecard case and 10 unsleeved tokens very very well
I have no issues with the 100+ XL, I think it is a great deckbox for commander players or people who take two decks for smaller TCGs. However, my issue with the 50+ still remains. It only fits what it states using very specific sleeve combinations or single sleeves which is not idea to the average consumer.
I dont understand why they didn't release a version that holds a double sleeved 60 card deck + 15 card sideboard, it's so common....
Couldn’t agree more. 50 and 100 is just not enough. Look at the Boulder 40, 60, 80, 100. Options for each TCG. I like the product, just hope they make a 60+ instead of the 50. It would then be the perfect box for me. Heck, I’d take an 80+.
I just purchase this box for the Union Arena pre-release event WITH the gamegenic sleeves and was very surprise that it when I was putting in the 3 action cards I needed to push in the main deck (50 cards) to be able to fit those extra 3 cards, I really liked the box but not being able to fit at least 60 single sleeves is not worth it.
Yeah it is very much a 50ish card deck box, especially if you’re gonna attempt to double-sleeve. Depending on the sleeves you might be able to get 55 or so, but 60 is pushing it.
I’d recommend the 60 Boulder from Ultimate Guard for your Union Arena deck.
I believe there's two versions the 50+ and 50 XL. The XL is the one you want. I have the bastion 100 XL and I can fit a 100 card deck with Dragon Shield matte sleeves and sealable inners no problem.
The Bastion 100 XL is a great box. But the 50+ is problem. I haven’t found a 50 XL but would be happy to re-do this review. As I still think it’s an amazing deck box but the 50+ falls short and doesn’t actually fit decks.
Definitely late to the party but Dragon Shield card sleeves are notorious for being thicker than other sleeves on the market. They definitely mean that it'll fit 50+ double-sleeved cards using GameGenic product (their sleeves and their inner sleeves).
I don’t own GameGenic sleeves but to give a fair review I should’ve purchased a set. I did try with Katana’s and those still didn’t fit. Maybe I should circle back with GameGenic sleeves and try again.

Worth a test. If the Bastion doesn't fit the GameGenic sleeves, THEN we have a problem lol
I bought these for Digimon (50 card deck +4-5 eggs) and they didn't fit. I believe these are meant for Lorcana and MTG which have thinner cardboard than Digimon and perhaps WiXros, because I can't imagine the sleeves making that much of a difference, but even if it were the sleeves, make better sleeves if you're going to pull this.
Yeah thinner cardboard could definitely be a way to get your cards in the box. I did actually try out 50 cards sleeved specifically with GameGenic inner and outer and they fit. But literally only 50 no room for more. Still not a preferred if you HAVE to use their sleeves as I know most people use DShields.
I think these accessories companies should produce more products catered to oversleeving rather than just outersleeving.
So many TCG players, particularly those who play anime/jp TCG use Japanese character sleeves with oversleeves

I am going to Etsy to try and find deck boxes now that fit oversleeves and aren't 100+ boxes.

I don't play Wixoss, but instead Weiss Schwarz, which is a 50 card deck game (no more or less, no side deck, tokens or anything extra).
So I'm looking for a deckbox that fits perfectly to hold exactly 50 cards, double sleeved.....
The best deck box I can recommend is going to be the "Ultimate Guard Boulder 60+." I own two and when I am not using oversleeves it fits exactly my 52 card WiXoss decks.
An alternative if you are using oversleeves is the Bastion 100+ fits two Weiss Schwarz decks perfectly.
I am also going to be getting GameGenic sleeves and giving this deck box another chance, but being limited to GameGenic inner & outer sleeves just to fit 50 cards isn't exactly "good" in my opinion.
So wixoss cards are in my experience a little thicker than magic cards.
I can definitely seeing the card thickness lead to problems like this and it isn't something companies test for. But I would like to see this box in an XL size to just have a bit more wiggle room for 55ish cards. Or just make a 60 instead of 50 and call it good. Haha
@@ChaoticGoodz Yeah I just wish WotC didn't kill standard, there are less and less options for normal sized deck boxes.
@@ChaoticGoodz Ok so I got a couple of these from my lgs today to try with Vanguard. They are 50 cards double sleeved no room for tokens, I assume with more foils it'd be worse. With the recent change to vanguard making it a 55ish card game this is a no go for double sleeving.
@@nyra007 I am on a serious hunt for normal size deck boxes. Best so far IMO is UltimateGuard Boulders, but they don't fit oversleeves which is a bummer but NOT the end of the world.
It's claim of 60 single sleeve cards is also false. I got it for Universus, but I was only able to get 57 single sleeve dragon shield in.
Good to know. I hope they revisit this and just make a 60+ and it actually hold the amount of cards promised.
I have one for my current main Pokémon deck and it fits just fine in one of these boxes all single sleeved.

Sadly, no. The deck box in most situations failed to hold 50 cards in most of my double-sleeve configurations.
Single sleeved, you might be able to get 60.
