Hi everyone (and Happy Thanksgiving) ❤️ Hope you enjoy the video and HUGE shout out to Jacob for agreeing to step in front of the camera and take part 🙌
This is a class vid. You should make this a regular event, gives a really good insight into how we would play around these courses. Great performance too, especially around the front 9.
Shoot mid to low 90s very consistently and got to play warick hills which hosted the Buick open for years. Shot 102 and the thing that was the hardest to do was read the greens. The breaks broke hard and the speeds were very quick. Touch on the green is the biggest hurdle to overcome on a tour course.
The best Peter Finch video I’ve seen. Literally more of this with handicap golfers but with a bit more coaching thrown in through the round and he’d be the top TH-cam golfer I think. Enjoyed this a lot.
This is fantastic. I’m so pleased you managed to defy the nerves and break 100 Jacob. 98 is a hell of a score from those tees. There were a few very relatable, painful to watch, shots in there and some blinders too. You did well to drown out Pete and Keiran’s sniggering/laughter 🤣 when things didn’t go so well, and concentrate on the job in hand. Love these videos with the guys involved, and also the notes in the edit … and yes, SOMETIMES golf is a GREAT game! ⛳️🏌🏼♂️👏🏻🏆
Absolutely brilliant video. I felt like I was living the whole experience! Can absolutely relate to the one crap, one good shot ratio but hitting sub-100 is a major achievement on such a challenging course, especially with every stroke being documented!!!!!
What a great video Pete . Jacob is going to be a better player than his current handicap I think . But As a mid handicapper myself it’s REALLY great to see this type of content , and have the finch on the bag as well , got to be worth a few shots (except that drive LOL) seriously so entertaining . Course looks amazing
Well done Jacob! Playing that course in front of the cameras with all that pressure, you showed a lot of mental toughness. No pressure but you were carrying all the hopes and dreams of us everyday golfers on your shoulders and you didn't let us down!
A bit late to the party I know but I enjoyed that. Would love to see a new video with Jacob to see how he has progressed. I'm new to golf and what Jacob said there about the physical drain it has on you by the latter end of your round is so real
Really enjoyed this video, as much as we all love seeing Pete play some superb golf it’s nice to see an average joe playing some golf sometimes to, well done Jacob 👍🏻
Great video and I think he putted very well for being tour speed greens. Also being on camera for the first time really makes people nervous, so I give him props. Would be a cool series if you can do that moving forward.
Massive respect for Jacob on this video! The funny comments in the edit, the willingness to be the sole golfer on a video and then the confidence to hit some amazing shots! Well done mate
This is a brilliant video mate, for anyone out there that thinks it's almost impossible to make it under 100 round a course, just watch this video! He's done nothing amazing to hit a 98, he just stayed focused and played calmly. Thats all you need to do. He was in the water teice and still did it, it's achievable!
High up the priority list this one - at home recovering from COVID and have been waiting all day for this one! Thanks for the vid to cheer me up Pete (and team!)
quality video, so relatable! quality effort Jacob not just a tour course but a pro watching and a camera in your face should give you at least another 15 shots!
Loved that. Shows how totally challenging these big courses are to play. Golf is fun, and everyone has moments of excellence but wow that was just draining on how tough it is to play.
Excellent video Pete and well done Jacob!! European/DP World Tour venues extract shots from the average golfer like there's no tomorrow the further back you go. I've been playing the bucket list courses in Dubai this week and trouble is everywhere if you can't get off the tee (the case for me more times than not this week), even though the slope rating might make it look easy. Hitting off waste areas, the different grasses, the speed and slopeyness of the greens, the carries over well placed trouble... it is tough going. Couple that with battling a few swing and in game demons, it can certainly add up on the scorecard. Which is why today, at the Earth Course, to enjoy the round a little more, we are planning to play off the Signature tees (6473yds), rather than the Tournament (7045) or the Championship tees. (7706). Whether that changes when we get there, who knows.
Wonderful viewing. Gives a great insight into the gulf between us( 15+) handicap and Tour Pro. Also a cunning plan to sign him up for some green reading and putting lessons. He shaved the hole more times than an employee @ the local waxing salon
"You did that for content". At least every other piece of advice you gave him was spot on. I play off a slightly lower handicap than Jacob but felt that I was out there with him.
The best golf content of the month by anybody this is! I'm a 14 HC and can totally relate. I don't think I can hit it as far as Jacob but I don't think I'd have missed that many to the right. What was with that?
Playing from the back tees with a bunch of cameras on you and everyone watching your every stroke. So silly stressful I’d be happy with a 130 probably from that distance and circumstances. Great job Mate!
Loved the video. Love the course. I think you should expand this idea by taking a 69 year old 18 handicapper around the same course. I’d be more than happy to volunteer as coincidentally I’m 69 and a bandit off 18 - or so some of my playing partners claim 😂
These videos are quality to see the comparison. Nothing better than a good comparison video in terms of likes of this video, as well as old clubs vs new clubs, new clubs vs new clubs etc etc. Be good to see the difference on other things like hot conditions on ball flight compared to cold too if possible!
Classy! Nice to see someone who you can identify with hcp-wise play a tour course. Wish I was heading for a golf course this weekend, most are closed in Sweden this time of the year, sadly. Maybe some indoor golf coming up.
I really liked that vid. Would be good to see you coaching and teaching Jacob , and implement some of your tips and lessons to show us that they really work. Loved it well done team
A playing partner once told me "the secret to breaking 100 is to remember that bogey is a birdie half the time, as far as you're concerned." He meant, take the pressure off yourself, as +18 is 90, so you still have 9 holes you can double-bogey and remain 99. Once you stop worrying, the shots seem to flow easier.
I use this same type of mind trick to break 90. The first thing I do when I get a scorecard is add 1 stroke to every hole. All the PAR 3's become 4's, and the 4's become 5's and the 5's become 6's. And I treat it as if that is really a PAR. If I get a 3 on what should have been a PAR 3, I celebrate as if I just got a birdie. When I started doing this, I went from 98-100 scores down to 89-92 scores so fast. I stopped trying to take risky shots to get PAR for the course, and took low pressure shots to get PAR for me. When you realize that you have 4 shots to get to the green on a PAR 5 (that is now a PAR 6), you stop trying to make it in two.
Mr Finch, this is a cracking video and I know it’s already been said but I’ll repeat it, definitely should be a regular event not only to see how us mere mortals play great courses but more to see how better we can be when there is someone there to help and advise us. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That was a superb video to watch! More like this would be fantastic and I’d happily volunteer to embarrass myself attempting it for the sake of content :)
What a fantastic round! Really struck home with me when a good shot is followed almost immediately with a duff!! Just move on, find it and hit it again!! Well played!👍
As a fellow 13 handicapper I enjoyed this. A very good effort with plenty of shots left on the course. A good day and you'd have broken 90 I think! And yes Jacob you missed 5 or 6 right edge 😋 only to miss the one on the last to the left! The lesson to learn is if you lack distance on a long course, but you can hit solid shots and chip and putt you can post good scores.
Brilliant content! So much more relatable seeing a “normal” player around one of these courses. To be fair a good number of shots left out there due to putting but an incredible effort and some great play!
Well done Jacob, hitting the driver great. This is why we love/hate golf, one holes you think you’re the best. Next hole you feel like an absolute beginner. Great video
It woz vErry gud 😜 but seriously what a very entertaining vid and well done to to Jacob ( the boys a natural in front of the lens) for smashing under 100 on that beautiful course thanks guys 👍
Fantastic concept and video. Great golfing! Like a lot of commenters said, it's nice to get an average player's perspective. As a 17 handicap, I was very intrigued to see how he was going score.
That is what I call realistic golf. 😁 because That is almost exactly how I play and what I score. Well done Jacob, for allowing us to join you and feel your pain on those wayward shots, but to share your joy on the good ones. Great vlog Pete, thanks 👍
Massive well done to Jacob some lovely shots just shame the putter wasn't on line or working for you otherwise think you'd have been in the 80's easily. Great camera work from Mr Finch 🤣🤣 keep up excellent work 👍🏌♂️⛳😎
Played a TPC in NJ, when I was 17...par 71...shot 69...PGA pro I was playing with, shot 81....was a great experience, and kind of proved to myself that playing on a small course at home, with postage stamp sized greens....wasn't all bad practice...my distance control was key in giving me looks at birdie....being used to narrow fairways, I didn't look at hazards at all... just narrowed my scope of the fairway to what I was used to having to hit...sure wish I could still swing like then...lol
Hi everyone (and Happy Thanksgiving) ❤️ Hope you enjoy the video and HUGE shout out to Jacob for agreeing to step in front of the camera and take part 🙌
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well.
Happy turkey day
Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Finch and family!!
Watching this before we eat far too much food! 😁😁😁🏌♂️⛳🏌
Great video, what was his net score?
Putting off the green into the hazard is something the caddy should have warned about…,..just saying 😝
This is a class vid. You should make this a regular event, gives a really good insight into how we would play around these courses. Great performance too, especially around the front 9.
It's already being done by RGC called the breaking series
I will call when wh

"Jacob is just a vessle to my brilliance" easy one of the best lines you've delivered hahaha. Great stuff mate, keep it up!
😅

Honestly 98 is a respectable score for a 15 handicapper on a course like this. Especially from the back tees. Well done!

I really appreciate seeing a player who is like most of us take on a tough course. Thanks for this vlog!
Great caddying Pete, loved the putt off the green into the water early on.....done that a few times on unknown and super fast greens!
This is a brilliant video mate, for anyone out there that thinks it's almost impossible to make it under 100 round a course, just watch this video! Cheers Alistair, get well soon
quality video, so relatable! quality effort Jacob not just a tour course but a pro watching and a camera in your face should give you at least another 15 shots!
This is one of your best videos ever. Really insightful for a high handicapper. Thank you.
Loved that. Shows how totally challenging these big courses are to play. Golf is fun, and everyone has moments of excellence but wow that was just draining on how tough it is to play.
Love this video and concept should do more of these in the future! Made me feel phenomenal about my game😂
This is so helpful.. to listen to your advice as the round progresses was so useful

Agreed, excellent idea for videos and your protagonist would be very well served with some putting lessons/practice.
"You did that for content". At least every other piece of advice you gave him was spot on. I play off a slightly lower handicap than Jacob but felt that I was out there with him.
This is one of my fave videos you have done. Nice job Jacob. Thank you Peter.
The best golf content of the month by anybody this is! I'm a 14 HC and can totally relate. I don't think I can hit it as far as Jacob but I don't think I'd have missed that many to the right. What was with that?
'You've done that for content I'm fuming!' one of the best quotes I've heard in a long time!! Well done Pete !!
i love watching these golf videos, brings joy and entertainment
Awesome video and really fun watching a Middle hcp playing a tour course
Great play Jacob really well breaking 100💪
Class Jacob!! Really enjoyed that video.
Great video Pete, one of your best. Fair play to Jacob for stepping up for the content 👊
Playing from the back tees with a bunch of cameras on you and everyone watching your every stroke. So silly stressful I’d be happy with a 130 probably from that distance and circumstances. Great job Mate!
Loved this vid, Pete. And well done to Jacob for stepping in front of the camera for this. I’d have been bricking it on that first tee if I was him!
This was a great Idea Pete, Just shows how much harder golf can be Jacob did great. Excellent Video Pete Carry on doing the great work 👏👏👍👍
Brilliant video Pete, keep it up!
Loved the video. Love the course. I think you should expand this idea by taking a 69 year old 18 handicapper around the same course.

As a fellow 15.2 handicapper, I felt every one of those shots - well done Jacob and a great video Peter
Fantastic round Pete!
You got an out loud cheer here when the eagle putt dropped!
Classy! Nice to see someone who you can identify with hcp-wise play a tour course. Wish I was heading for a golf course this weekend, most are closed in Sweden this time of the year, sadly. Maybe some indoor golf coming up.
Great chemistry between you and Jacob! Great video Pete!
very nice vlog, actually jealous of Jacob. playing over there with a great guide/caddy. Keep it up Peter, would like to see more like this.
I really liked that vid. Would be good to see you coaching and teaching Jacob , and implement some of your tips and lessons to show us that they really work. Loved it well done team
Fantastic video definitely do more like this 👍👍 ... definitely some bad caddie advice 😂😂

Loved this one Pete!!!
Best video on TH-cam right now. 🔥keep them coming.
Whowww.. this is class. Very good Jacob. Very well done.. i wish i could play at your level.
What a quality video, hopefully the start of many!!!
Class showing by Jacob. Great job!
What a star Jacob is! Well done and well played.
Great video. Love how you get the crew involved!
What a fantastic round! Really struck home with me when a good shot is followed almost immediately with a duff!! Just move on, find it and hit it again!!
Well played!👍
Excellent video, and what a very pleasant and humble guy Jacob is. As he's a cricketer turned golfer, I'd like to see Peter Finch playing cricket!
Best video I’ve seen in a long time! Great stuff!!!! Hell of a round mate. Great job.
As a fellow 13 handicapper I enjoyed this. A very good effort with plenty of shots left on the course. A good day and you'd have broken 90 I think!

Loved this vid. Man, golf is tough! He should travel and play everywhere with you! Amazing content.
Enjoyed that, great to see shots played the way we play them on a weekend, great for a few holes then a dreaded duff! Love to see more like this!
Well done, that was a great outcome, great video too 👍👏
Really enjoyed this video. I “believe” you will do another one. 😁
Video is fantastic! Love the notes from Jacob in the edit!!
Really enjoyed that. Love the positivity. "A moment of learning" I'll remember that one
Every shot is an opportunity
Well played Jacob; big shout out to you for taking that on whilst on camera
Respect....
"Come on... *waves everyone along*, come and see this side of the green." Excellent video Pete and well done Jacob!
Now that was fun. I've never been so emotionally invested in a golf video. I was rooting hard for this guy by the end. Good stuff as always
I play of 14 Jacob, and I think that you did us average club golfers proud. Well done. We play for pleasure not pounds.
Well done Jacob, hitting the driver great. This is why we love/hate golf, one holes you think you’re the best. Next hole you feel like an absolute beginner. Great video
Well done Jacob! Great score on a course like that. Keep this kind of content coming Peter 👍🏻
Awesome this one Peter, very cool, thank you.
A great watch! Really wanted him to do it, and he did, sweating at the end, superb.
Absolutely awesome video!!
Brilliant, definitely need more of these 👏👏👏
Great stuff! Well done!
Great , true to life, video. Cant imagine doing that.
Just changed in the middle of a Rick Shiels vid to this when I saw you uploaded! Love the content
It woz vErry gud 😜 but seriously what a very entertaining vid and well done to to Jacob ( the boys a natural in front of the lens) for smashing under 100 on that beautiful course thanks guys 👍
You are a vessel of my brilliance! Peter is a stud!😂😂
Fantastic concept and video. Great golfing! Like a lot of commenters said, it's nice to get an average player's perspective. As a 17 handicap, I was very intrigued to see how he was going score.
Really liked this vid Pete, nice to see you use a mid handicap golfer, like most of us watching you are
With Peter as his caddie, I'd give him a solid 120. :D Love ya Pete!
Great content. Enjoyed how relatable it was to the standard club player.
Approach play was great. Good idea for a vlog 👌🏼
That is what I call realistic golf. 😁 because That is almost exactly how I play and what I score. Well done Jacob, for allowing us to join you and feel your pain on those wayward shots, but to share your joy on the good ones. Great vlog Pete, thanks 👍
Peter Finch.... Quest for the open as a caddy? Great vid guys.
A great effort. It looks a beast of a course. He left so many putts out there as well. Good stuff Pete. Very interesting.
Nice start! I think a bit of drone footage of the holes would have added a bit of perspective on the challenge faced.
Great video this. Well played.
Massive well done to Jacob some lovely shots just shame the putter wasn't on line or working for you otherwise think you'd have been in the 80's easily. Great camera work from Mr Finch 🤣🤣 keep up excellent work 👍🏌♂️⛳😎

Peter Finch & co bringing the best golf content on the tube 👌
That is a great effort. Only a few blow up holes when fatigue set in.
Great video, well done guys
Great effort. How many woods did he it from the fairways?!
Great video!! I was getting frustrated for him with those missed putts
