- In this video I head to Royal Liverpool (Hoylake) and try to beat Tiger's Open Score in 2006 but using his modern day golf clubs.

You know you are watching a Euro guy when it's cloudy, looks like it going to rain, in long sleeves and he says "The weather is PERFECT!" lol
Spain etc is pretty warm and sunny. The UK in general is a wet nation with loads of clouds, but then we are an island so condensation and precipitation is expected

Sitting here watching Pete play amazing golf and wondering why he would ever stray from those irons. Hits them so well and knows EXACTLY how far they go.

Can we all just take a moment to respect the fact that Pete shot 6 under at an Open Championship course?! Bloody hell that’s impressive. Best part overall was your upbeat and positive attitude the entire time. Just looked like you were psyching yourself up, talking through each shot, and keeping that positive juju flowing. Top notch, mate 👏
Idea for a video: Play an Open course with clubs from that year’s winner. Would be really cool to hear your take on playing St. Andrews with Tiger’s bag from 2000, or any other past champ for that matter

Incidentally, I personally have enjoyed hitting Bridgestone Golf Balls more than others... Even some PRO V1s I managed to find around the course :)

Pete, that was class! A real insight into how the subconscious works - as it doesn’t know the difference between something that is “real” or “imagined”, hence why you get those excited almost nervous feelings when achieving something like that. Well played - Shaun

Then I saw the name at the end of the comment... then the username... then I was like, holy shit I was just in Sheffield cheering you on in the second session of this year’s final! You probably won’t see this, but I’m still gonna say it, commiserations on losing out. I much preferred your game to Mark’s. But when someone hell-bent on playing a scrappy, safety game, it’s hard to get chances to knock in centuries. Hopefully you go one better next year! Probably see you at Ally Pally before that though. I was there for The Open in 06, also I went to the WGC at The Grove that year where Tiger was playing his best golf.... He had his ball on a piece of string that year, Hank Haney had him in the zone, he was unstoppable.....!!!
2 bladed 3 irons off the first hole, out of bounds right, no warm up and rolls in the birdie putt!! Pete, you’re a beast!!
Great round here Pete. Hoyelake was a parking lot in 2006. It was a pure ball striking clinic by Tiger that week. He probably got a new 4 iron after the week he hit it so many times off the tee.

The camera angle always looks like shanks when good golfers have the camera set up behind them. This is because they swing out to in and the ball draws back.

Really enjoyed watching this video. The graphics of the hole before the shot is a really great feature because as a viewer you really miss out on the shot and the layout of the course. I can tell it took a lot of camera work to make sure you get the shots correct but I can tell you had an absolute blast play and shooting this. Great work. Looking forward to more Peter Finch videos

Can't believe I've only just seen this video. I worked at the open as a kid and played in a competition as a junior in a comp that followed called "Tracing Tiger's footsteps". The greens were lightening, how anybody stopped a ball on it was unbelievable. 3 and 4 putts for days.

I remember watching tiger win the open in 2006, it was so dry, all his iron shots looked like he was hitting out of a sand box, love the videos good luck on your open quest!

You were relaxed, and comfortable, and confident the whole time. And KILLED IT.
I was out on the course, inside the ropes on Sunday with Tiger and Sergio all in yellow!( R&A Mobile Marsha)l Stunning day full of emotion and great golf. 17th green was covered in purple flour as Fathers for Justice struck! Most was swept off and the BBC coloured the live feed to show the greens as they should be seen and not a purple tinge as they had after it was swept. Was literally 5 yards from Tiger as he wept and held Steve in his arms..#emotional
Long time fan and subscriber this is my favorite video yet. Can never get enough insider on Tiger. Putt on 2 was pro side should of fell. Great playin man very impressive.
