I didnt know you can cook a roast beef in an air fryer now I know. I just got my air fryer a couple days ago and Im eating so much better now that I have an air fryer. Thanks for your video I cant wait to try cooking a roast beef in my air fryer.
Hey nice video. I have that same air frier too..in black though. Just to let you know since you like Aromat, (which I also have in my cupboard), I found this Polish seasoning in ASDA called Kucharek. It's wonderful. Twice as much as Aromat and half the price too. Like 200 grammes for 85 pence. It is also yellow and frankly I think tastes better. I use it on all meats and fish and everybody loves it. It was in the East European section of my ASDA. Once you try it you won't go back trust me.
Thanks for the Video. Couple of things to say. You nearly missed telling people to Pre Heat the Airfyer. With Cosori Airfyers in particular its always best to Pre Heat at 205°c for 5 Mins...If you You put the Joint in on 200 for 5 Mins on Each Side and then cook for another 20-30mins on 180...You get the same Result....But Absolutely agree Using the Temp Probe to Get the Result you want....Roasties Done in Airfyer are much Cruchier in Airfryer too..But do them on High 10 minutes on each side..and do again at 180 for 20 minutes turning after 10. Yorksires can be done too but once risen.. you might need to turn them over to get thers bottoms Crispy... Unless you loke a Soggy Bottom !!! Enjoy Everyone...
I hope it smells okay, I just stuff a joint in my oven and an hour and and 20 minutes it’s ready i don’t need stand checking every 15 minutes Great video interesting am still smiling
Just cooked this but it took about 60 mins. It’s resting now but will carve tomorrow when cold. It’s for a buffet tea 🐸 followed your method but in a Ninja Multigrill Air Fryer
May I suggest using a cutting/carving knife to carve it and not a chopping knife. Also make sure it's well sharpened ... a carving knife should be sharpened every time before use!
I get these big joints, I find them very "hit n miss" some can be so tough even after slow roasting. I usually end up stewing mine it is always then so tender , I get much better results. That seemed quite tender although very underdone for my taste.
Cook your turkey or if beef to rare. Cook up gravy using goose fat, salt pepper mustard, onions, celery, mushrooms and swede. Strain the gravy when reduced.pour gravy in roasting pan. Add desired meat Cook for 45 mins .
Looked lovely but I had to stop watching the video when you started eating it and smacking your lips it put me right off as I suffer from misophonia but I seen enough of the video thank you
I was on your channel because I was going to buy one of those larger air fryers and wanted ideas to see what I could cook. It was very helpful thanx@@BackyardChef
im, sorry but it wasnt even cooked in the middle the blood was still running and the edges were cooked that to me says it wasnt cooked right so no i wont be cooking beef joints in the air fryer.
Looks good but sharpen your knife
Looks like you overcooked it
Thank you. Best, Rik

Oh oh oh look at that. Oooh oh oooh look….at….that 😂😂😂😂
Yes, Look at that. Rik
Use olive oil in a glass spray bottle, not these commercial low cal sprays because they are full of chemicals!
They strip the coating off of baking trays etc too!
Fry light has ruined many a pan of mine , I do not use the stuff anymore would much rather use a vegetable oil
Each to their own. The oil is not the main thing but the meat and how it cooks. Olive oil not for everyone either.
love all your older vids Rik
What about the new vids now I'm older - ha ha ha. Thanks. Best, Rik
Looks very tough
Thank you 😋 Best, Rik

Rik have you got merch? Because it’s obvious to me and possibly hundreds of others, it has to be : “😳Look at that” 👍
Yes just started with all of that stuff. Did you see the end of the new beef keema vid I had a shirt on there. Best, Rik
Love aromat especially on roast tatties
Yes! Thank you. Best, Rik
Great help Air fryer is good but what do to have the dinner plate warm? nothing worse than a meal on a cold plate
ha ha ha I'm smiling - agreed. Mum always used to warm plates in the oven. Best, Rik
Use a microwave for 1 minute
Everyone as a microwave?
@@BackyardChef We need a microwave We had a massive fire from lightning and lost a microwave must get one
Hot water to warm plates..
I have an airfryer but, to help with arthritic hands and the cleaning of airfryer, can I cook this in foil?
Yes you can - time adjust to cooked how you like it. Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef Thank you 😊
You didn't tell us how much it weighed, they got there before me about the knife.
Thank you. Best, Rik
It's either tough as leather or you need to sharpen your knife.
Knife. Filmed in a holiday home. Thank you. Best, Rik
I had the volume up but had to lower it because the first few seconds of this vid sounded suss as hell 😂
Turn it off and watch something else. Best, Rik
Put the fat to the top, it will baste the joint as it cooks
Yep
Brisket maybe.
Soz but it looked tough as old boots are you on paid promotion from consort. Your pressure cooked one the other day was much nicer
Who is consort? No! Thank you. Best, Rik
Invest in a good carving knife!
I my kitchen not a problem - but in that kitchen when I was on the move - nightmare! Best, Rik
Dull knife, or tough roast?
Yes, dull knife I was in someone else's place. Best, Rik
Despite what the English speaking Countries think. The K is not silent. It's pronounced K-Norr
Not interested. Thank you. Best, Rik
raw beef
Where? It was completely dry and grey from overcooking.
180c or about 350f my air fryer is on farenheit , took about 4 hours on 180f
Seems like a long time Eddy. Was it a big piece of meat? Best, Rik
@@BackyardChef i had it on 180f

The only thing I see is the wrapping. String? One hopes. Plastic? Oh, God, no.
Its string - meat sock - butchers use to keep meat together - no plastic. Best Rik
@@BackyardChef Thank you. Good to know. Since I wasn't sure, before commenting, I came to the comments to see if it had addressed, but it hasn't.

It's not blood, by the way, but myoglobin, which is used inside muscle cells to store oxygen.
For heavens sake take the netting off before cooking
