I have some mil surp gear, it's funny seeing all the "DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR. TURN IN FOR REPAIR/REPLACEMENT" warnings, I imagine for the enlisted man they would have a hell of a time getting that done lol.
Thank you. I took mine apart to wash after purchasing from a surplus store. I took pictures but found myself struggling. Your video and instructions help a bunch. Frank
Thank you for this video Pressman. I agree with the comment below: This is the BEST video on youtube on assembling this gear. You're a terrific speaker, you're logical and you're precise. You should make a good officer. From this retired 12C . . . I hope your Army career has been better than even you thought it would be. Huah.
From an old Infantry 1SG thanks for creating this video. I am putting it together for my daughter to turn-in, and had no idea. You saved me a lot of guessing. Keep up the great work young man.
Another tip is to get a 1 inch webbing strap with buckles run it thru the outside holes just above the waist belt bend your frame a little (without breaking it) run it thru the buckle then tighten the web strap as tight as you can then put your waist belt on get it tight then release the buckle an remove the web strap if you do it right it will keep the waist belt about 1.5" - 2" off the frame instead of right on it an will help distribute the weight an save your back.
I don't have the female clips attached to the top inside corners of the frame, are they essential to mounting the ruck to the frame? If so where can I buy? What are they called? Also need a waist belt. Good vid, working on my assembly
Brother, awesome video. I have a question please - Ive removed the frame off, is there a way to have the shoulders straps and the waist belt on the backpack without the Fran on it, so I can just use it without the plastic frame ? I’d truly appreciate your response. Blessings for you and your family!!!
Thanks man saved me from a counseling
🤣🤣🤣✌🏿
🤣🤣🤣🤣 forreal bruh 🤣🤣🤣
Basically millions were spent developing this pack but somehow no one thought of a service wide SOP to do this...
Who would expect anything less from a military leadership that can't even read the Constitution?
Great video though.

The technical term for those straps you tuck into the frame holes is "yib-yab tab".
No, it is.
Appreciate the help

Yep, an old Ranger trick! Nice
Another longtime NCO on YT says mounting the belt too tight to the frame will lead to chaffing under weight, he advised a little looseness.
Thanks sir. If I could put you in for an AAM I would lol
Thank you!
What are the two small straps at the top near leveler straps
Can you use this rucksack without the frame ?
Hell yeah

Not how it's designed. If you want a pack like that try the 5.11 Rush 72
Man wtf my buckles are too big for the holes on the back
