Make sure to tape the frame where it rubs against the straps, too. Otherwise the rucksack creaks like a barracks bed whenever you walk with it.

I have to follow the TC 3-21.220 which dictates everything for static lines jumps. Smart idea though! I've had a few paratroopers ask me the same question.
