    After watching several videos on how to string pearls was becoming frustrated because they were "to fast" not really explaining the process.
    Your video was very refreshing! You explained your process very well and didn't rush through the steps! Really loved the way you ended your piece, the hanging pearl just gave the necklace that little extra something special making it stand out a bit more!
    Thanks for taking the time to make and share this video, I found it to be very helpful! Look forward to seeing other videos on jewelry making from you! Hello to Charlie, he IS a good boy! LOL

    Thank you for the tutorial! What size french wire has a large enough hole for the silk and that will still be able to go back through the bead twice? Seems it comes in sizes between 16g-26g...

    I’ve never seen the decorative bead, but I like it. Definitely going to use that!
    I use the Knot A Bead, it prevents hand fatigue for me!

    I do use a needle to press the knot closer to the pearl, it does help.

    Great tutorial! I was wondering whether the knots between each pearl are for design or function? Can I just bead them without knotting inbetween?

    • @SammiFletcher
      @SammiFletcher  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Technically you could bead without the, but it’s not advisable really - for pearls. The knots add strength, they also protect each pearl from rubbing against the pearl next to it - but mainly if the necklace should ever snap, you won’t lose all your pearls, as the knots will stop all the others from falling off :)

    What kind of glue are you using?

    • @SammiFletcher
      @SammiFletcher  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! I am using clear high tack fabric glue, ideally choose something that is washable and forms a permanent bond. While it is bad to get pearls wet - accidents happen, people also perspire :)

    • @SammiFletcher
      @SammiFletcher  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph Jackman so sorry!! It’s an autofocus lens, I’m quite new to this and it’s v frustrating for me too!
      When I get chance to do another I will practise practise practise.
      Perhaps shooting shorter segments to check each time - splicing together? I can’t watch my hands and the screen at the same time - so I need to find some work arounds! :)
