I already had a full sized stack too, so had to put it in mine. Had to install it the same way. Tedious, but I love the flight characteristics of this frame. I also added GPS and lidar and tried it with INAV 7.0 at first, but couldn't get the mag working right. I'll probably try again soon with 7.1 and disable the mag. Flies great on BF 4.4 with presets, but since it is a cinewhoop I'd like to get it working with some of the INAV autonomous modes, including using the lidar for terrain follow. You'll like this one.
Hey Bryan... Thanks for the insight. It was a tedious build but pushed through it. I have a previous build with GPS and compass that I intend to use with iNav. I'll get around to it one day. I'll look into the 5 bladed propeller. Thanks man.
Thanks for a great video OMU. I always find your content interesting, informative, and entertaining. I have finished my Bee35 build except the 03 Air Unit that I'm expecting to receive tomorrow. I've dubbed this one the OX-35. Should be airborne by Tuesday. Can't wait. Thanks again for the highly relevant content on this one OMU. Happy flying amigo 🫡 🍻.
Even though that full-size FC and 55A ESC was a pain in the baltz, I think you're better off in the long run especially on 6s. I put the F405 mini in mine but sort of wish I'd used the higher amp rated esc. During flight testing I had what I thought was a minor crash but several motor wires desoldered from the esc. I think it was due to a voltage spike. I installed the capacitor that came with the mini but I think the full size setup would have fared better. I don't know for sure but that's what I think. I don't think there's permanent, long term damage and I'm looking forward to the proper maiden flight Tuesday. Sorry about the rambling comment but I do think you're better off with the higher amp esc. Happy flying amigo.
Thanks for the insights and your experiences with this frame... you were not rambling. It was a tight build with the Full-sized ESC, but you're right about having that extra capacity and buffer.
I LOVE that whole frame I have the mini esc fc, the bee cam.. I have vista as well .. WoW I may be able to buy frame .. and build.. cool I’m digging this video
Nice video! My quad FC came presoldered with a yellow signal wire on the underside of the FC near the bootloader button. Any idea what this might be? It came as a plug with a battery voltage and GND.
Did it actually fly ok with that full size stack in it? I actually just received my frame today, gotta order a stack for it but i dont want to use a mini stack if possible
@@OneManUnmanned yeah it looked like the stack was too close to the vista. My buddy has one and it flew great with a full size stack in it,he recently switched to the speedybee mini stack because he didn't like how tight it was inside and now he is having problems with it,motors make weird noises sometimes and flutter. I'm thinking maybe because he is using the mini stack with a xt60 instead of a xt30 but I'm not sure,I would rather use a full size stack,I believe the mini stack is only 35 amp.
I have a full sized stack and mine and it flies fine. I haven't finished watching the video yet so I'm not sure how he mounted his. I mounted the FC above the place and added stand off between the plate and the battery tray. The FC sits under the battery tray. Edit: I should add, I'm not flying with an additional camera. I'm using the O3 only for camera.
Hey Butch...All great points. This video was recorded before the mandated date for Remote ID. Even then, I have a remote ID module I can attach to my drones. I've done a full review on it, and I'll link it below if you're interested. I agree, a beginner pilot should not be flying a 6s drone. I have a beginner friendly drone video coming soon. Thanks for watching. th-cam.com/video/d7JIEMbvINY/w-d-xo.html

I can also recommend trying the gemfan d90 5 blades props. Less intrusive sound and smooth flying.

I moved my GPS/compass back a few inches using popsicle sticks. The GPS and compass both work much better.

I really appreciate your thoughts on the video and your support. Wishing you the best on your build.
Thanks for the kind words OMU. Have a great week amigo 🫡 🍻.
Well done One Man. couldnt have done it any better....send it ...lets see how she flies🦁🦁🦁
Thanks, I appreciate that.

I’m sold! I’d personally like CRUISING so I’d grab quad blades and max size.. I’d love a double battery option if possible for longer flight times
I’m a fan

Looking forward to your test flight video
Love these videos they Zreal my help me decide but Mobs are hard to compete with esp if you can get hd or thumb cam on there!
same stack with an o3 remote mounted cap in front of the stack.
can we put avatar moonlight kit inside ? im curious
I did not try, but I’m sure you can.

I have not done the maiden flight yet, but it was a tight build and could not fit the capacitor in the frame.

Nice
I’m interested ! Soon , someday when I can afford
Is it safe to put the Capacitor at XT60. As per JB, noise will occur. Facing same problem with F4 stack. So is it safe?
You want the capacitor as close as possible to the PCB. I used two smaller caps side by side in parallel in order to get the cap to fit.
Where is your remote ID Nobody as a beginner is going to fly a 6s drone
