I have one of these currently working on a battery mount to mount it right under the hood I have mine zip tied there now and it beats big tire rwd cars
@Alex Smith tamiya belted F1 tire. Takes a little bit of parts to make it work. You also have to mill out the back of the F1 wheels to clear the hub.. kind of hard to explain what I did to make it work. Maybe I'll make a video explaining it this weekend for all the Fwd guys that want to run rubber tires. I've run 2.89 @ 54 on rubber tires and I refuse to put foams on my car. Trying to push the limits of rubber tire
Honestly I haven't broken the stock diff yet so I never swapped it yet. Still have a brand new Mst Aluminium one in a package waiting for the stock to fail

@@brandonrichards4728 fwd and traction don't mix.. lol I've tried a few different tires and I'm currently trying to get some belted tires because these VTA slicks just balloon out too much. Tried to hit it with some turbo timing but it keeps blowing the tires off the rim so just gearing at the moment until I can find some good wide touring car tires that don't turn into pizza cutters at 50+mph. Keep you eyes peeled I have a video coming with my whole current setup and a video of it at the track beating a geared dr10. Current best time is a 2.95 @53mph.. if I can get some good tires this car will be a beast

Is there any chassis changes that need to be made to run a 540/550 brushless setup?
550 size will not fit because of the can diameter. 540 fits fine you just have to make a slot where the motor bolts to the motor plate

I'm running a 22 pinion and stock spur

I can only find these wheels with treads, can't find the slicks
Unfortunately the HPI VTA slicks are getting harder to find. Maybe check eBay I've found a few pair on there

I looked them up they all had tread no slicks or did you burn off the tread haha
