rod tang is so dominant in muay thai bc just like guys such as rico or alex pereira, he implements techniques from boxing and makes it effective. such as footwork and you can see in this clip not to mention his punches are thrown very crisp

If you don't address these type of minor details early in the beginning, it's VERY hard to get rid of them later in your combat sports journey, in particular, if you got away with them most of the time.
