Winter Soldier was great forany reasons but mostly for me it was because each character was interesting in their own way. Sam Was great to watch in every scene and Widow really complements the narrative. 9.5/10
Why Panther was amazing but it doesn't beat Winter Soldier in my opinion this movie was flawless from beginning and there's so many epic scenes and yes for God the elevator fight scene so freaking amazing
Yeah, Civil War came close, IW will be great in a whole different kind of way, same with the sequel next year. But Winter Soldier is 'that good' it stands up on its own as a brilliant film. It isn't perfect, but it's not far from perfect, frankly.
Omg i realize theyre in different worlds but anyone caught the whole Strucker thing and in The Gifted the strucker *twins* can hold hands and be very powerful
More fun facts: Nick Fury's secret hideout was filmed at a dam in Cleveland's Lake view cemetery, and also the secret bunker Cap and Widow went to was really the Ravenna Arsenal (south of Cleveland) which funny enough has a whole secretive nature about it - tons of conspiracy theories.
So close! You mentioned Tony Stark built the carriers in the comics but there's that line in the movie: "...when he got a close up look at the engines," referring to Tony getting caught in the helicarrier's engine in The Avengers.
At the end of the movie, when Fury is going through his belongings, you can see a work permit for Thailand. Either Fury had an teaching gig in Thailand before, or had gone undercover previously.
My theory on why nick fury left his eye is shield was working with wakanda to get vibranium and use it to make weapons. Since we found out in black panther that king tchaka was that good of a person, that could mean he would betray fury and cut his eye. It also does look like it was scratched out by a panther
Anthony Mackie once said in an interview (I believe it was with Jon Stewart) that in one scene, he glanced up into a tree as a nod to Falcon being able to communicate with birds.
I noticed a potential easter egg where Fury tells Cap that he "went fishing" which could be a mention of when he pulled agents Fitz and Simmons out of the ocean in Agents of Shield.
Just completed watching Winter Soldier once again, found one of the target as Tony stark, mentioned as Anthony Stark inside Stark Tower, when all those machines starts to target and you also mentioned same :)
Secret Invasion begins in this movie. Fury finds out S.H.I.E.L.D. has been infiltrated by rogue Skrulls. He then digs deeper, and during this, he learns that they've also been infiltrated by HYDRA. One scene that gives a clue is when he tries to access some files only to find that they've been encrypted by Fury, Nicholas J. That scene doesn't belong in the HYDRA narrative.
I noticed that the flowers were covering the dates Nick Fury was born and died on his gravestone. I wonder if we will find out in the future if he is actually A LOT older than we think he is??
I was just watching the movie and I'm here because the stephan strange reference and the avengers tower. And yeah i feel bad too cuz i never noticed the hint of the starks death until now when i was watching it . So yeah . ☺
