With so many great options for a new gravel bike on the market today. My decision for a new bike was very difficult. Your videos have absolutely helped my decision making. Revolt Adv 0, Grail CF SLX 8, New Aspero, Diverge…. Ultimately it snagged a great deal on a 21’ Used Diverge Pro Carbon with Reserve wheels. I will be picking it up shortly!
Nice and very reasonable selection of bikes and frame materials. Would love to try out Enve‘s Mog and Canyon‘s Grail CF SLX. Only bikes I consider buying 2024 (besides Crux and Aspero - cannot stop watching for these two). Thanks for the amazing content in 2023, David!
Your reviews and speech are amazing and far the best on the web Congrats Arthur I would add BMC URS 01 TWO Splatter White version, that is adding along with MTT the stem with the same features, the superlative redshift with internal cable features. It is like a flying carpet, keeping the stiffness when needed along with the smoothest ride ever tried! Amazing gravel bike !
Amazing how the GT Grade has been forgotten. Lightweight and with frame suspension. I have taken mine on some really bruising outings and it has never let me down once.
Great video mate! I have a Norco Search XR (carbon). I bought it pretty heavily discounted without trying other options! So far I have really enjoyed it. I’d really appreciate it if you could say a few positive words about this bike to make me feel better about my purchase! Keep up the good work!
Can “best” be defined as “best for real people with real money”……in at least one bike rating video? I bet more of the audience will buy used bikes than will buy the “best” bikes. For that matter, What % will build their own bikes? The audience wants best bikes for…them…
Nice bikes. But I chose a bike with kingpinfeathering behind and 30 mm suspension in front. The comfort has a slight weight and stiffnesspenalty, but it is worth considering if you like comfort.
Having ridden my fixed for over a decade, every summer I get the itch over a proper gravel bike. I had a full sus mtb which became too boring in the woods and I have the money for a new toy, but it feels wrong to pay up only for slightly better tyre clearance and .. gears? Tracklocross ftw 😂 Jokes aside, appreciate the work you're putting in David. Two wheels til death 👆
Great video. Very helpful too. I am buying a new bike 🚲 in 2024. Edited to add that I would like to know what you think of Marin bikes. I am considering a Marin gravel bike for commuting and adventure riding.
About choosing the right gravel bike: wasn’t the Diverge a race bike before the new Crux was released? While certain bikes are more suited to racing than others, isn’t marketing playing a big role? My guess is that a Diverge is a very capable race bike, maybe course dependent.
@@valentinalonsoalvarez4956 yep, great example. I read that Mohoric did ride two sizes smaller than normal. Probably to create a more aerodynamic position. The Silex has quite a high stack.
@davidarthur Thanks for the video. Curious about the position you would give the cannondale topstone carbon in the bikepacking. What do you think of the bike in 2024?
it's a real pity that BMC didn't see clear to sending you a Kaius. I don't know what BMC is up to these days: they've fallen out of the World Tour and they don't seem too anxious to promote their performance gravel bike. The road bikes remain at the very top end of the affordability range too, or is that the low end? They're damned expensive!
Too bad you did not include a Single titanium bike. They are expensive but no more than a lot of the carbon bikes you listed and some are amazing. Mine is a Slug Beatnik - small maker out of San Francisco. Won’t rust and won’t be a concern like carbon if it gets dinged and it clears 50+ tires and rides like a dream
Some of the prices are completely ridiculous. Giant Revolt is the only reasonably priced gravel bike I’ve looked at. Unfortunately, they are hard to find…
Hi! I am more than curious of what would You say about the newest version of Bianchi Impulso Comp with the GRX 610. Is it worth buying, or should I choose Canyon Grail CF SL 7 for example?
@DavidArthur, do you happen to know what headset cap was on the Giant Revolt you reviewed? I’ve tried finding a replacement for just the cap and haven’t had much luck. Thanks, and enjoy the content.
Gravel bikes have hit the same wall that road bikes have, where there's nothing more to innovate unless you want to count stuff that's nice but not necessary but drives up the price, like electronic shifting
@@Weissi0711 I do. I like it cuz it’s a beautiful bike, it’s comfy and it allows me to do some awesome rides: I just love to ride it! All that for a fair price I reckon. No. I own a CC HT and a gravel bike. Guess which one I haven't touched in months and guess which one has collected over 10.000km in less than two years. If I want to ride an MTB, it's my full sus. A gravel bike is perfect for road, gravel and mellow trails

These brands don't pay for reviews. It's more a case of they make these new bikes available to me and because these are popular brands with the audience.
