I think the voice acting is hilariously great, I hope they don't change it or tone it down in the final game. I love the idea of the main character just being super pissed off the entire time he's exploring the island.
You say "Let's not make to much photo of the protagonist" but astonishingly great ego in the voice acting cries otherwise ;) and seriously he must be fatally tired to be hungry in every two minutes.
The protagonist has quite the metabolism. As for the toilets, I am certain you will be able to use them in the full game; look how much this guy drinks!
Examining lockers and containers for items come off as tedious with the slow loading icon. Unless they're trying to pad the game for time. And the electro zombies sounded like they were saying, *"Meh! Meh Meh!"*
Anyone else think Outlast straight away? I mean, it's Outlast with food and water. Weapon use as well. But definitely inspired by Outlast. Seems cool and I'll give it a go when it is released. I will for sure try this, it kind of reminds me of a cross between Outlast, Dead Island and Rust. My kind of game!
to be honest i have mixed feelings about this one... it has a lot of stuff to chew on, but at the same time it gave me the sensation of being a "slow" game... dunno, everytime you open something you have to wait in order to craft, eat or drink something, and so on and also i noticed that if there's an enemy nearby, if you open the radial menu or the inventory everything slows down in order to "let you use" some items or simply change a weapon (because pistol is just a piece of scrap to be honest)... i dunno, maybe it's just me but i honestly think that the full version should have like fast weapon equip or just a button to take out the camera and such... simple things to make this game a lil bit faster...
I think it does have potential. Looks interesting, but much more survival that anything. Still, I'd be happy to watch your playthrough. Gotta say that gun might be better used against little things, rather than the suited "zombies." Also, don't think you noticed the guy on the table (second picture you took) - his hand twitched/moved when you took the picture, then he disappeared as you left. Thanks for playing, Chris!
YES I was hoping you would play this! I just watched a small snippet on a different channel and was going to recommend it to you. It seems like it's going to be super good, they've been working on it for some time.
I dunno, it seems okay. I wasn't really intrigued or drawn in. I like some of the game mechanics, but it feels like there's nothing here. Maybe that changes once you get out into the island, but the beginning of a game has to really grab me to keep me interested. As it stands, it's just kind of okay.
This looks promising! The survival aspect is a nice touch. I'm not a fan of the voice acting - though it seemed better in the trailer, tbh. The gun seems weirdly under-powered (it shouldn't be less effective than the pipe imo). Still, I'm genuinely curious to see more of this! Even if it's not a horror game per se, if it's good, it could be a different kind of playthrough on the channel, and I'd be up for that :)
VA was like a young Ahnold. Seems like a lot of decent work went into the demo, however instead of a battery hunt we have a food/water hunt... Didn't really pull me in, or make me want more. I mean, sure I want more, however if your demo doesn't help sell it, why would I think the rest of the game will be any more immersive?
I'd love to see the full game..as you said , the trailer seems to indicate a large variety of things to do, basically..so not just being in the underground bunker. Poor protagonist though , only finding vegetables ..no wonder he got so hungry so quickly !
I like this one it has so much promise. And the style is very cool. Like the night vision thing too. Gives it more substance. Please play the full game if and when it comes out. Thanks for another cool video.
When the protagonist says, I have a bad feeling about this, I jumped when I heard it, because it sounded exactly how I imagine evil version of Chris sounding if you were to say it.
It looked pretty good and the trailer looks like it could be interesting. lowkey was blown away by the trailer. and it was actual gameplay, nothing fake. give it a try once it comes out and try some of the new content and if we will like it you can continue and finish the full game. :)
I feel like the game is gonna be better than the demo. Not the best demo section, but the trailer shows so many more environments to explore - which is kinda the key if you have a camera imho. I'll give it a try when it's released. :) Great video as always, thank you!
You scared me when, after hunting frantically for food, you said, "Oh, c'mon now, don't let me down!" to a _toilet_ .😬 😬 🤣 "A solid maybe" is how I feel about this game, as well. It looks pretty good, and the trailer is interesting, but the demo is lackluster, imo. Lots of stuff to investigate and yet not much actually happening. Horror elements seem lacking; combat is odd, when a pipe is more effective than a handgun; and the voice acting is melodramatic. Still, I'll be happy to watch when, and if, you play the full game.
The mental picture of "I will take no prisoners...grrrr" (Brandishing weapon) and "munches carrot"...Ha1 Promising! Hope they get some of the language things dealt with...but that doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe once it is finished,...the terminal trailer looks good- I mean, how often do you get chased by a bear?
Not a lot of tension or real threats here. In its current state it's a bit dull, and to be honest it was your commentary alone that kept me in til the end.
It feels like condemned:criminal origin or outlast type of game with survival element, and did not expect to be an open world kind of game. Main character VA is oook, he sounds like a 55-60 years Old man who hold his anger..
This seems interesting. Although I gotta say, it's real concerning that our main character's got no problems eating and drinking food off of a facility with a suspicious business conduct.
The demo didn't grab me, but the trailer at the end did. Shooting does feel a bit 'alpha stage' atm though. I think they should reward the players for getting headshots in, only one game I've played does this really well and that's Contagion.
I couldn't sleep so I decide for some strange reason to watch this, might not be a good idea. I'll probably go back to bed and watch this tomorrow instead. 😴 💤
Hey I was really looking forward to the inheritance of crimson Manor That was supposed to be coming out quarter 3 this year but just checked their page and now they've moved release date to quarter 1 of 2022. Also outbreak island is so far from being released that they haven't even announced a release date yet. This is why I don't like to watch demo playthroughs. Because I get really into the game and really excited but most games tend to release demos a year before the game comes out. Instead of releasing it you know 3 months or something before the game comes out so the demos fresh in people's minds and people will be hyped up for the game like they should. And some really good demos never get a full game and the game is never actually released ever. Or sometimes it's two or three years after the demo drops the full game comes out. And that's just really frustrating to me. This isn't a critique of CJU or anything it's a critique of the game developers releasing demos way before they should.
Speaking of fatal frame will you be playing Fatal Frame 5 maiden of the black waters? Because I think you will like it if you havent played it already.
I would watch the full game but some of the more common sense things could be worked out better. Maybe its just me being nitpicky but I thought it was strange that the floor level decreased going UP the stairs! A grammar and spell check for the notes and the 2rd floor wouldn't hurt anyone! I also didn't like that it made you go through all 4 floors before it gave you codes to any of the doors so you had to double back when the character is barely holding on to life because maybe he's got a tapeworm and there's hardly food to support this dire need to eat every few minutes. I'm grateful you edited most of that out. Great video! I enjoyed watching!
Looks interesting. I would watch you play it. I don't think it's going to be as much horror as it will be a survival... I could be wrong though. There is a lot going on that's for sure.😁👍
Not on-board with this game unless dev(s) make some significant changes & improvements.......too many things felt off or were unnecessary additions. This could be a great game, I hope they keep tweaking it and make it polished. I like the camera it’s a nice and crispy looking one.
The photo collecting aspect of this game reminds me of that photo collecting in that game STAIRS, that you played years ago.
Came back to watch as they plan to release this April 2023. I hope you play it. It looks so good.
This looks really good. I hope it's actual game is able to follow through with what it seems to be promising.
The protagonist has quite the metabolism.
As for the toilets, I am certain you will be able to use them in the full game; look how much this guy drinks!
Examining lockers and containers for items come off as tedious with the slow loading icon. Unless they're trying to pad the game for time.

I can't wait to watch you play the full version
Holy shit, a game that **didn't** just steal the Resident Evil inventory assets. I'm shocked.
Everybody needs their own emergency carrot.
I died when he said that!

You have low expectations
@@lemonpaperplanes I do! I cant deny it,BUT I love survival based 'horror' or anything that makes you kind of struggle to get to the end.

Maybe that changes once you get out into the island, but the beginning of a game has to really grab me to keep me interested. As it stands, it's just kind of okay.
I swear I was just about to say the exact same thing!
I love October ❤. Thanks Cju for feeding my horror month. Then again you usually have great horror playthroughs all year round. 🎃🎃🎃
This looks promising! The survival aspect is a nice touch. I'm not a fan of the voice acting - though it seemed better in the trailer, tbh. kinda agree on the voice acting, but we may still hold out hope for it since its only a demo
@@marycanary86 Fingers crossed :)
You, Chris, are my perfect horror game selection!! When I'm wanting a new scary game but I just can't find one, I come to your channel!
Looks good so far. I like the survival aspects and that things take time to find/craft. Could be interesting with threat around.
Two things I hope, One the Dev keeps working on this (unlike Withstand), Two the Dev keeps his promise regarding the people who bought Withstand.
looks promising! hope to see it on your channel soon!!!
For once, I was so early I could constantly refresh your page until I caught the upload!
It's the small things that make me happy

Like the concept, prommissing. Hope they tweak the enemies and combat. Combo of survival and detective game. Look forward to finished product.
nice looking demo. looking forward to the full thing eventually
And I'm so glad to let someone else play these types of games so I can figure out if scary or not to play
When the protagonist says, I have a bad feeling about this, I jumped when I heard it, because it sounded exactly how I imagine evil version of Chris sounding if you were to say it.
Hope to see Chris playing Them and Us.
Yeah... That would be very cool
I want a shirt that says "that's my emergency carrot". I don't know why I found that so hysterical, but I did
You made a reference to the Fatal Frame games. I hope you play all three of them and upload them. They would be awesome to watch
I think that I can't wait!
i really like the music omg.
The disappearing body wispering in your ear: Roleagh!

He has the voice to say *War never changes*
the voice of the "hero" sounds s familiar like CJUs lol I think it was the voice for the last few games, too :D
I hope you play this when it fully releases.
this is my favorite youtuber of ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@The Stranger Yup. Sad when one has to hang onto an "emergency carrot"! 😂
this looks like its going to be a cool game, plus I love the voice acting too!
It has condemned criminal origins vibe to it ..:boy oh boy that game was a bliss

It’s giving very Outlast:Whistleblower with the premise
*Just found this and liking the game already! Now i want to watch you play the full version.*

Immediately made me think of dead rising (and island?), this should be interesting
Not a lot of tension or real threats here. In its current state it's a bit dull, and to be honest it was your commentary alone that kept me in til the end.

i love how u can just click on it to use the stuff u dont have to right click and then click on eat or use

Cju is genuinely cute and funny. It's not just his voice.
Cju's obsession for toilets is so hilarious😂
The green thing with the rocks floating around it reminds me of the rifts from Dragon Age Inquisition lol
Please do a full walkthrough
For being in a scary situation, that detective is the most pissed off guy I have ever heard. He sounds like me after getting bitched at by my wife!
Please play the full game cj when it comes out
"So many components" - That amount is barely a drop in an ocean for someone who plays Foxhole. :P
Interesting game by my initial take on it. It would be a long play game, could break it up with dungeon runs.
4:56 - Gordon Freeman from Half - Life moment!! Lol
It’s a pretty good looking game. The story is intriguing. I’m curious where this is going given the trailer. 👍
Like or dislike at the end. Dude im giving like at the start!
I was waiting for the main character to launch into a reading of The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe
Not gonna lie, when I was immediately greeted with "0/6 photos" thought great, another Slenderman clone. But let's see...
I couldn't sleep so I decide for some strange reason to watch this, might not be a good idea.
I'll probably go back to bed and watch this tomorrow instead. 😴 💤
the trailer looks promising, I like the building part i hope they can really pull this one right, the gameplay is ok

Is this made by the same team as The Long Dark??? The actions, menu, and survival aspects are identical!!!
Hi, Chris! Can you play the fatal frame series please? Or maybe you already play it but not record it?
That much of canned vegetables will make him shit out proper new ones 😅💪
Hope this is going to be good 💪😇🌒
Seems like next Forest kind of game. It didn't seem to have too many intensive moments bit maybe these are left to be discovered.

Anyone recognize where the music from the trailer might be from? I’m fairly sure I’ve heard it somewhere else, but can’t put my finger on it.
Please play this!
Flashing light at 8:18 for those of us who are sensitive to that. 😵💫
2rd floor was funnier than it needed to be 😂.
The last shot looked like Fallout 😅
I should've trained as a plumber not as a chef as I would be able to kill all sorts of monster much better than those knives I Have
