David is probably the most underrated musician ever
Great guitarist, I think the atmosphere his playing creates is probably 50% of Pink Floyd's sound, but I wouldn't say underrated. He's definitely respected proportionately to what he does.
Between them they got there, and pleased millions and in years to come will be as celebrated as Mozart or Beethoven
One of the most psychedelic songs of all time. I think this song is genuinely what got me into electronic music

I think Dave struggles with Rogers Control Freak nature! If it's not Rogers way, there's no way. But I also think Dave's became more controlling since Roger tried to despand Pink Floyd, and more than likely Roger and Dave would clash more often than not and because Richard has left us it would be even harder for Dave to regroup!
Also Roger has is very Political with some Facist beliefs which doesn't match with Daves beliefs.
So I don't believe there's anyway back.

I have a Korg Krome and somebody developed a sound pack that I bought that has many of the Pink Floyd sounds including On the Run. It is so cool and so much fun to play with.
Always a bit of riff between he and Waters, the whole time they were together. But hey, it worked out in the end, obviously

They weren't a writing duo Rogers practically wrote it all. He wrote all of DSotM and The Wall bar one song - US and Them which Wright wrote. It doesn't fucking matter if he's a prick because without him there was no '70s Pink Floyd.

On the run always reminded me of a brother that traveled for work 300 days a year and was flying 5 times a week. Just stress and no time for a family or friends.
David says they did it together and it worked. Roger says it's his an no one else ever thought up such things until he did except for Syd.
David says, it was a good run and we all made an impact on music and society. Roger says Syd was god and I carried the throne from there. Everyone else were peasants.
David says, Pink Floyd was a wonderful band with so much to offer. Roger says, Syd was a wonderful band with so much to offer him.

Roger's music since he left the band isn't good, the music David has made is excellent. That tells you what's important, David's new music sells out immediately, Roger's cd's sit on store shelves and collect dust.

As brilliant a musician as he is, a truly lovely Englishman, and pivotal to the development of Pink Floyd, Gilmour has often struck me as a bit narky and uncomfortable with his attitude to Roger Waters.

David has often credited Roger with positive things. It’s Roger who rarely (if ever) credits David with anything but negative stuff. Roger is a chronic complainer. David is much more positive, optimistic, and HONEST.

To be humble is the key to people liking you . I love your guitar playing David but i do wonder who really caused the riff between Roger and you 🤔
It's pretty widely known that Roger wanted full creative control because he thought his songwriting credits gave him that right.
David thought that Roger should have MORE input, just not ALL input.
The golden years of Pink Floyd were collaborative, even if Roger wrote most of the lyrics.
Giving Roger full control gave us "Final Cut". David thought it was a sub-par album and wanted to go back to being more collaborative.
Roger then quit the band and sued the other members to prevent them from continuing the band.
..So it comes down to personal opinion on who you think caused the riff, or who was being more unreasonable.
Humble? This clip displays David’s humility so obviously. He literally credits Roger with making that effect better. And, it’s “rift” not riff. But, if you think Roger is humble, you’re delusional. He thinks he’s Pink, and Floyd.
