Monty is incredibly spoiled to have such a great group of players. You all do such a wonderful job of roleplaying. That being said Monty is the GOAT at DM. How you swap between character voices, your energy, imagination and all while running an incredibly smooth campaign. You weave so many narratives back into one another and are likely the most prepared DM I've even seen. I can't get enough of watching your stories. More monster of the week too please! Amazing amazing amazing, all of you.

Agreed, But I also keep thinking its a typical American thriller especially when the heroes threw their 2 prisoners in "the trunk". When they wanted to burn the wagon, the Godfather theme started playing in the background.

Phew! After months, I'm finally caught up and ready for Shadows of Drakkenheim. It's been a joy to watch you all. Your group's dynamic is wonderful, and the clean content is much appreciated when so many shows rely on cursing and crass humor; I have already shared this with my family. I also want to commend Monty on his hard work. I myself am a DM who is currently working on her Master's dissertation for graduate school, and I know how hard it can be to balance responsibilities. Looking forward to more content from you folks in the future!

Yeah, I can't believe they missed the opportunity for a ratling episode. There's the whole period between sending the Ratlings to Oscars house and them showing up with rat-ogres that needs to be explored.
Every one of the last couple untold tales gets more and more deadly. I cannot believe they got out with zero deaths. I'm sure if they did one more of these someone would finally die.
Super excited to see the second half of this one; this has been one of my favorite outings by you all so far! The first half was simple and straightforward, but a ton of fun. I will say that I hope you all make better use of your Mounted Combatant feats and (presumably) Find Steeds this time out. EDIT: Wait, what? Is this live?!?
I've made it through!!! I wasn't listening since the pandemic started and just finally got through the untold tales. Looking forward to getting back into the shadows story line.
So, I'm glad I misunderstood in that last video, I thought the prisoners were in the chest on the cart that they then set on fire... Boy, that would have been... a mood. I appreciate this much more.
Man, in the chase scene all I could think of was if Wyatt took the key off and put it around Austin's neck, dismounted, took the dodge action and just waited on the ground for the pursuit to make it to him so he could knock them off, so to speak.
This gives me so many ideas for a campaign I'm playing a Phoenix Cleric in, because every player character is tied to some religious order. It's going to be the opposite of Keeping Up Appearances, I can see it already.

Thank you for the constant quality content, world-building, and all around pleasure for all of this! And plus, SHADOWS IS BACK!!!! YESSSSSSS!!!! I'm so excited! EDIT: (SPOILER!!!!!!!) DUUUUUUDE THE ENDING OF THIS TALE THOUGH!!!! I love your constant output of creative and interesting characters!!! And I gotta say I would have been pretty distraught if Buddy died. AMAZING critical save!!!! And the tie-in to Shadows at the end there was amazing!!!
Utility staff many usable attachments are availabe for these staff.Such as 15 feet of line on a grapple disposable items like firecrackers air bladders... Articefers often make them for small adventuring parties as part of the payment and sendoff. You see Kobolds love Articifiers collections and these staffs can be made with or without a focus attached.
The situation that comes up at 2:16:00 about the fear effect of Conquering Presence came up once in a game I was in when my character was knocked down. The DM was about to remove the effect and I asked why. When it was stated that I was knocked unconscious, I replied, "This effect is a Channel Divinity without the need of concentration. If it was the Fear spell, sure, but it is not." So we came to a bit of an agreement: the fear effect stayed, but while I was unconscious, the trigger of the fear doesn't affect them, allowing the enemies to move and attack normally until I got back up on my feet should they not succeed on their saving throws. It was the only thing that seemed fair, and the table agreed on that. I'm almost surprised that Kelly didn't try to put the enemies and their horses in his Aura of Conquest though. That reduces the speed of those frightened to 0, and they take psychic damage equal to half his level at the start of their turns. Even if they didn't try to flee, or simply attack at disadvantage, causing bonus damage as a result of being near the paladin helps, even if it means taking out an enemy horse in the process. Also I want to say that if any of these characters from the Untold Tales of Drakkenheim come back, I think that Buddy Knox should be granted Legendary status. 1-3 legendary actions along with at least 1 legendary resistance. That was epic. And if our heroes has to fight him, they'll wish they hadn't.

I highly suggest using the beyond20 chrome extension if you are using dndbeyond for your character sheets and roll20 to play. If not for the rolls just to share the spells and their effects in the VTT
Love you guys too much not to mention recent lawsuit against Patreon in California Court (which could end up with em going bankrupt). Please look into it and diversify a little bit on other platforms so you are not caught with your pants down. Keep up the great sessions :3
It's not that paladins would lie this much, it is that the players would lie this much. Short of binding them by full adherence to a lawful good alignment and loss of their abilities for deviations from lawful good/honorable behavior the crew is going to start building webs of lies quickly, and even with that kind of impediment, they still might lie their way into losing their abilities as they just can't help it. It seems to be their playing style of getting into tough spots and trying to lie their way out, sometimes successfully and sometimes not. There's nothing wrong with that. It's often hilarious to see the problems they create for themselves with their lying and how Monty has to sometimes back them into corners because of those lies or sometimes seem to bail them out a bit to keep the story going.
Even with a 10, 11, and 11 for stealth, its dark outside. At the very least, the attackers (unless there's a warlock) would have disadvantage to see them (-5 for passive) I get it, it's the heat of the moment, he can't be perfect, but still slightly annoying.

Due to their nature, the side-stories seem to generate so much more chaos, it's bloody hilarious and awesome how situation played out :D Great stuff!
