- All about the Lleyn sheep breed
In the video today I'll be talking a bit about lleyn sheep and why they have boomed in popularity over the past 20 years. Here on the farm we breed pedigree lleyn ewes and have a flock currently standing at 150 ewes with 45 ewe lambs to come into the flock as replacements.

huge thanks for such content! looking forward to new videos 👍🏻
Thank you so much!
Great video, what are their feet like, are they good on soft (wet) ground?
Do they suffer foot rot?
Sounds daft but I’m picky and go for ewes with black hoof as it’s harder and don’t get problems
Interesting lots of info.👍when you started how many sheep you had?You never wanted any other breed?
I started with 5 ewes and never really thought about another breeds
could u make a vid of your sheep equipment
Great idea I could definitely do that
Good vid
Thank you
are they easycare kind of sheep,i like the slim heads and narrow shoulders, but not too narrow, cracking skins
Hi Jock. Yes they are a maternal, easy lambing breed designed for higher lambing percentage and good as a commercial ewe for crossing
I'd say a good texel would put length height and weight into lambs.
Thank you, definitely considering them for the B flock
Don't go for Suffolk big heads and legs and getting lots of hung lambs . Where are ya from in England and what's the most common breed around u .
I’m from Staffordshire, I’d say the most popular road us are Suffolk’s, texels and Blue texels
I can't watch when you keep calling us 'guys'. It's not a British word and annoys me immensely. Everyone, folks even would be more appropriate.
If you watch my more recent video I do t say it as much haha
