Thank you Darya...this was a great informative catch up. I had a major change in my life 6 months ago which meant my design life was put on hold...so I am re looking at everything now.
Thanks for this video, I appreciate it very much! I only have two but..... 1. Spoonflower ask me to buy at least one sample so that I can sell my designs on this platform. The first 20 that I posted were OK, and now I don't have the "for sale" option, only "private" or "public", until I buy at least one sample. Isn't this against the new rule that it is no longer obligatory to buy samples? 2. Please change the microphone because it's really hard to hear you, thanks Best Regards
1. The best thing to do is to contact Spoonflower customer service via email and they will answer all the questions. I am not sure why they are requiring a sample ordered. Maybe it's a brand new seller thing? I haven't heard of it before. 2. Hmm interesting. I'm sorry you're having trouble with the sound. Have you tried turning up the volume? I usually make sure there is plenty of range when editing the sound. I will look into it.
Old Logo is much better!! Thank you for your videos, very informative. Any advice for someone looking to get into Pattern design with no experience!!? Where to start first??
Thank you for your kind words! I'm working on a Skillshare class just about that!! I'm planning to post it by the end of February and will make an announcement on my channel. In the meantime, I have 2 videos that can be helpful: th-cam.com/video/4dp-yP_GapU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=H5PjOqn1ebk6k7hc th-cam.com/video/PXwLBojVDOY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=5HuNasJZgBq7qp9B
Design limit changed to a higher limit now. I had no idea I did not need to pay to proof but you still want to over color changes. Last round I did a few colors were really off. My order came a lot faster I think they are using same places as red bubble. I noticed redbubble trying to match pricing. I just happened to place orders from both companies the shipping was from the same area. To me it's better.
Yes, the limit has been raised to 50, which is wonderful! Great that you received your order faster! It's an interesting thought they are using the same places as Redbubble - previously they printed everything in house, but last year the location closed, so, who knows!
@@PatternTalentbyDaryaKarenskiI'm not 100% on if it's the same as redbubble it came out of the same area. Both print on demand. Amazon uses a bunch of places too. Maybe they set up a place in that same area. I have no idea I suspected they did. Also that thing to remove non sellers is like zazzle. You can put it back up but I do not pay to put my designs on zazzle where as people did on spoonflower. That would be problematic. New designs do not demand swatch I can see.
Do you have to enter the design challenges in order to sell on Spoonflower? Also wondering with the sale and downsizing changes of Spoonflower if they’re not as profitable 🤷🏼♀️
No, you absolutely do not have to enter challenges in order to sell! They are just a very good way of getting more people to see your design. Making selling on Spoonflower profitable has never been easy. It takes time to build up momentum. I wouldn't look at Spoonflower as a primary source of income. It's a nice way to up your design skills and build a supplementary income source if you love making patterns. Sales have been down the last few months for many designers including myself.
New logo is really bad. It's school level work. The original logo was much more dynamic and when scaled down still retains its integrity. Shame someone sold them an expensive bill of goods

I love your Spoonflower videos! 😊
Thanks Veronica 🙏😊💞
As usual, an objective and respectful video on the platform. I appreciate both, your factual approach as well as your candid comments 😊
Thank you, means a lot to me!
