I think it's not becuase mario does not change himself. He does not get extra abilities himself

It does give an extra hit and extra ability, but it doesn't persist between levels
Plus it stacks with regular powerups

I have a suggestion to make your top tends a little bit better Nico. At the beginning of your videos, define what The list is based off of. For example in the top 10 worst power ups define what makes a power up bad in your eyes. By the way the idea came from a video I watched called pink gold peach compilation By Dark AGU

Two things, first I don’t think the Gold Fire Flower is bad at all because it’s literally the Fire Flower but it gives you coins and the Fire Flower is good so I’m not sure how the gold one is bad. If you use the Gold Flower Fire and shoot it at pipes and if there is Piranha Plant inside, it will kill it. Also the Gold Fire Flower creates a small explosion which can catch enemies in it but don’t quote me on that. The second thing I have to say is that, to count a item a power-up check if it gives you points and if it does than it counts or if it is the opposite than it does not count. Great video though love it 😎😎😎
I honestly expected the poison mushroom to be #1 for one reason: it hurts you. It’s not actually a power up

The golden fire flower is great becausr of the splash damage. It’s basically a stronger fire flower. Only drawback is, it lasts only one stage.

In World 5-7 of Mario 3D World (I believe), you can use the Goomba mask to hide from the spotlights that alarm Cat Bullet Bills.
That’s true while wearing the Goomba mask certain enemies that are capable of noticing you don’t know this you anymore and search lights don’t react to you however it does take away the abilities of a power of you already had like a fire flower or boomerang flower
In Super Mario Maker 2 the Goomba mask fools everyone

The thing is the level the light box is featured in known as a beam in the dark, there are boos and peepas everywhere. And since the light box is the only thing that works against them I’d like to see anyone try and beat the full level from start to finish without the light box. And don’t even think of cheating by using the lucky bell

You forgot how the Gold Flower has a bigger hitbox than the Fire Flower.
At the new SMB titles you can walk on vertical walls so only the SMBDS version is bad
If I remember correctly, the mini mushroom actually can't run up walls in SMB Wii, however it can in SMB U

This was my first video that I watched on ur channel
But the gold balls literally explode and get rid of bricks instantly, if I’m being all honest the fire flower in super Mario galaxy 1 and 2 is one of the worst due to getting rid of your spin jump for an projectile that is hard to aim, gives huge delay between the next spin, and is only useful because you’re forced to use it to destroy ice, at least the super ball kills almost every annoying enemy mario can’t with no downsides to your default move set.
Not to mention, the Galaxy variance of the fireflower has a 20 second time limit

The golden flower honestly has a very big explosion radius, apart from coins it can kill a lot of enemies so I think its really good
Not only that but it also deals major damage to enemies resistant or even immune to fire

@@truewhissan Yeah I understand, but the cloud flower is technically a cloud powerup. Although the cloud flower is probably one of the most helpful powerups
The boo Mushroom may look weird but it’s very useful. You can fly, turn invisible for a second allowing you to pass through certain walls and read Booish. And unlike the vanish cap which has a time limit, this power up lasts until you take damage or get exposed to light.

If you take away the coin aspect of the gold flower there is still a lot left going for it. For example the fireballs are more powerful to the point you can defeat large enemies and bosses who are resistant to fire or even metal or undead who are normally immune to fire, hell not even bowser stands a chance against 1 golden fireball. There is also splash damage so if Mario is completely surrounded, 1 shot will clear a path
