She is an author, activist and philanthropist and sister to the world's most powerful man, the President of the United States, Barack Obama. She is Dr Auma Obama and she joins us on Africa Prime, the story of Africa's champions.
Dr. Auma Obama is first class just like her brother!!! She is very intelligent, articulate, and sophisticated. I can clearly comprehend why President Obama is honored to acknowledge her as his sister. Much respect and love to Dr. Auma Obama.
Such a smart and confident African woman; believing more in herself and taking her life in her own hands than her father or her brother neither while maintaining so much love, respect and appreciation for both. You are a real role model. Even in an atmosphere where African leaders pose a grim role of moral decadency, corruption, brute and all, your tireless work ignites hope which would be lasting and prevailing. Thank you so much and we, Africans, love you all.
Dr Auma is a very positive role model for Kenyans and to women in general. She is an amazingly talented lady, indeed.

The fact that she visits President Obama frequently in the White House just to say good morning is truly heart warming. She's very low-key, unassuming, and does nothing to garner attention for herself. She's a very loving and caring sister.

Much love to Dr. Auma Obama. Did the interview say she often visited him in the White House? If the answer is yes, that's probably an exaggeration. She doesn't even live in the USA. Perhaps that was for a short period of time when he was first elected. Since he was an adult when he met relatives in Kenya, it's impossible for them to know him like his American sister who was raised in the same house with him. Much love to President Obama and to his American grandparents, the Dunham's, who were instrumental in raising him. Incidentally, in the Black American community, it is considered in poor taste for a family to "claim" a relative after he becomes famous, especially when your side of his family had nothing to do with that person's rearing or success. Again, kudos to Dr. Auma Obama for her grace, intelligence, success, and philanthropy. Shame on the other Obamas for trying to exploit their famous relative, and shame on those in the media who try to "throw shade" on President Obama for not going to Africa and rescuing that crew in Kenya. This is my humble opinion, and I have used my prerogative to express it. If you disagree, it is your prerogative to express your thoughts. DO NOT send me any disparaging remarks. It will be a waste of your time because I will not read them.
