    Auma is a beautiful and intelligent woman and Barack is lucky to have her as a sister. Between Michelle's wonderful family and his own, it's no wonder he's so grounded.

    • @Truthseeker-hc4gh
      @Truthseeker-hc4gh 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +TheWonderfulKushites Auma says that she met Obama late in life so I don't think she has anything to do with him being well grounded. Obama's half-brother Mark (by the third wife of Obama Sr.) calls Barack a "lousy" brother, which seems to be because they have no contact.

      Not quite true.. It depends on circumstance and how well the "siblings" get along. If it's as a result of an extra marital relationship they tend to use the term half-brother/sister. If it's a remarriage and the siblings are growing up together, then it's more than likely they will ignore it.

    Class is class. I liked her answer with regard to her brother's birth. We saw the pictures and heard all about the family, his mother, his father living in the States and marrying his mother, his maternal grand parents, his school pictures in Hawaii. Yet ignorent, unintelligent people made such a fool of themselves re his birth in a country where people are supposed to be educated. Hats off to both his sisters. Mayo and Auma. Very bright and intelligent family.

    She's pretty. They're (The Obamas) are brilliant people. The father was awarded a scholarship to study in America because of his brilliance. Also, Obama inherited his charisma and speaking skills from his dad who was described as a dynamic orator.

      mrsnet Obama actually inherited his skills from the teleprompter. If you watch clips of Obama in unscripted activity where he speaks for more than 30 seconds, Obama exposes a total lack of personality. His act works in a vacuum, where ppl like you drink it in.

    President Obama's father might have been a dirtbag, but what is amazing is that the children he has had, or at least the ones I've learned about, have done very well in life. And, this is even though they seem to on many levels not have associated with each other on any substantial level.
    So for this particular man who seems to have not been the greatest father, to have all of these children who exceled, to me at least, is extraordinary and puzzling at the same time.

    This half brother concept is VERY DIVISIVE among siblings. Why is it always like this in the Western culture?
    Brother is a Brother. No half about it. Also sometimes we even call our cousins brother/sister. We are all close!!!

    True. I've been schooled! Nevertheless, racial stratification is a philosophical construct. It's not based on facts or the minuté of heredity.
