Your vlogs of your Japan trip made me fall in love with that place and was almost a vicarious experience. The vlogs from Vegas... they just reinforce my desire to NEVER GO THERE. Not because of anything you're doing Graham, I just feel like the whole atmosphere of the place is so counter to everything I'm comfortable with. Which is odd, considering there seem to be places in Japan that seem almost Vegas-y themselves. I dunno, maybe it's the too wide but low ceiling-ed hallways that are tweaking me out. Like people pipe is obvious people pipe.
watching you navigate Vegas is fun. My wife and I live about 5 hours away by car and use it as a cheap, quick get away. The footage just makes me want to go back, for three days and then come back home.
I didn't even leave the Westgate->Convention Center area, and I still felt like there was a lot of "America: The Ride" going on there. Would have loved to explore a bit more, but I was by myself since I was there with judges and they were SUPER busy all week. Also had a chuckle at the opening reaction shot in the elevator. That was about how I felt about hearing that all week. Although I did go to the show and it was very impressive to see the athleticism the women showed off. If you've never seen a professional pole dance, it's well worth it to be super impressed.

For a minute I thought they were going to try to pass him off as James with a "what happens in Vegas" hairdo... since for several shots in a row Mohawk Man was traveling with the three not-James crew members. And James was nowhere in sight.
I was able to get a couple of cards signed by Sprankle (she was in the Bolas suit) at this GP, but now I have more cards to have her sign, if we ever have Magicfests again.
The air in vegas gets filtered like crazy, that's why you can smoke inside. Air is replaced every 5 minutes or something crazy. So you're not really breathing the same air, it's a crazy place
Thank you for your patronage of monorails. I think monorails unfairly got a bad rap: in much of the world they are legitimate public transportation, but in the US they are viewed as amusement park rides. Thank you for the brief glimpse of what it is like to ride the Las Vegas Monorail, and your earlier Vlog where I got a similar glimpse of the one in Seattle. I especially liked that you apparently rode them because they were headed where you were going, so don't go out of your way to ride monorails for me. ;)
its pretty cool to hear the first(?) impressions of vegas. im from LA area, anytime id pass thru nevada with family we'd go thru vegas and i dunno. there is a nasty feeling i get everytime. like everything has been stripped of it's authenticity, of its human element. or at least it appeals to the least fulfilli mg aspects of our humanity.
