People sleeping on the new V6's. They sound and perform way better than previous V6's. He did good getting the one with dual mode exhaust. I have it on my 2017 RS.
I traded my 2015 ecoboost mustang that had tune, intercooler and intake along with resonator delete and maganaflow mufflers for a 2016 1LT RS Camaro and I'll tell you this camaro feels faster and lighter and it's 100 % stock!
@@Lethalgarage hey man quick question...compared to the 2015 2lt rs camaro...can the 2016 2lt rs front seats recline all the way back and have laying back space like the 2015?
so I'm not gonna lie this is the first video that actually shows or demos the dual mode exhaust on the V6, you wouldn't believe the lack of videos of this on YT. other than that another great video!
It's an amazing drive! I rented this model and got to drive it for a full month. For a V6 with no turbo, pushing out almost 350hp with torque that rivals those numbers is incredible. The quality is amazing. For a city driver it's the perfect match. The V8 is kinda overkill for most to enjoy
The argument about SS owners it's only a V6 SO WHAT!!! Remember this V8 SS owners, without the buyers of the V6 or turbo 4 there most likely would be no more camaro due to the fact that the 6 & 4 way outsale the V8. So the SS can do 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds the V6 can do it in 5.1. Not everyone wants to pay more in insurance more for gas and most important at least $10,000 more just to get 120 more horsepower then a V6. So YES, when you see that poor lowly your beneath me turbo 4 & V6 on the road say thank you for keeping the camaro alive
I enjoy my 2017 RS, hopefully you can do more V6 videos to show everyone that the V6 Camaro is a great car. Regardless of what Camaro you have, you can make your Camaro look great. Thanks for all the videos and ideas, I receive from watching your TH-cam channel.
Sweet I just purchased a 2018 1lt v6 non RS with 400mls at 24k. Saw this vid. And just liked the way it sound. I love the SS Model too but really buying for the MPGs. I have lowered mine and gave it some rims. Hope to see more v6s out there they’re fun.
I rented a V6 convertible last year when that lady totaled my car. I was very impressed with the ride and the V6. Even caught a 2nd gear with the automatic once. If you just want a cruiser that's really fun the V6 is ok. With a couple of mods you could easily push close to 360-390 I'm sure which is a lot by standards up until 5 years ago.
You sound a bit unimpressed at the end. Is it because you wanted to drive it? I have this car in Garnet red 2LT v6. I know the v8 is top dog balls out. But this V6 is a road handling curve eating beast. That's very hungry.compared to Gen 5 it's no contest. Thank you for reviewing it. I would love to see you drive it. It has a wolverine like personality. I likes to eat exits on turns in 3rd gear. I'm very happy with it's light weight up front and how it stays flat on 90mph turns. I wish it had more torque low end. Tourqe at 4500 or 5000 rpms kicking in is all good. But you will miss that low end dig. But top end this car sings. Your SS is the more powerful and sought after. But I've driven both and this V6 is by far not an also mentioned vehicle. Compared to any comparably priced car this LT2 is a if nothing else ...a memorable drive for sure
I went from a 2012 V6 to a 2014 V8. I'm definitely enjoying the extra power so if I get to 16 in a year-and-a-half when the price is lower I will definitely get that Corvette engine.
Get the v8 for the highway and the v6 for the back roads. V8 is built for highway and drag racing. The v6 on the same alpha chassis and it being lighter makes it great for curvy canyon/mountain roads. All depends on what you prefer!
dark cars on black wheels or black cars on black wheels and white on black wheels has become a common scene. I'm excited with what the bowtie is doing with this car.
hey lethalhammer, whats your opinion on the smaller screen? i understand the base package comes without bose speakers, have you heard anything about the quality of those?
Good video people needs to quit hating cause it's a v6 come on I had the option for the ss and it didn't convince me so I got the 2lt 2017 rs and I love it manual shifting and boy my car shows power it has turbo of course but I definitely go with the 2lt rs w/turbo than the ss honestly I think it's better and better upgrade interior .
That's the same interior I have on my 2016 2SS. That interior was a deal breaker for me. I had to have it. It reminds me of my 1980 Z-28 that was black with red interior.
on the 2LT package do you get a 8 inch LCD center console for the instrument cluster if you don't get the lighting package? I am getting so many conflicting answers. So if he does not have the enhanced lighting package what did he get for the center console with the 2LT package?
Lethalhammer I am talking about the dash LCD screen. That only comes with the lighting package which sucks! That should be stander-ed with the 2LT package. Since I can't get it with the 2LT package I down graded to 1LT and saved another 5 grand.
Yeah not many videos showing the v6 with npp. So if you were to compare the 16's npp exhaust to the gen5's npp exhaust which do you think sounds better?
I have the same car. What size are those tires? Can they fit on the 20 inch stock rims? I love my stock rims but i don't like the tall looking tires. What would you recommend and will it void my warranty if i change it? Thanks!!
LethalGarage I stayed in Oceanside for 3 years and love every bit of it, but gotdamn it's expensive as hell lol. I'm in Oregon now I'll probably get a 2016-17 RS in a couple months. Right now I have a '14 charger
Thank you finally a video of a 2LT RS review and definitely good info. The sound, the speed, the look, the differences of a 2SS and 2LT. Very informative. I would love to see a drag race between your SS and his RS just for fun lol
You can have Brembos in 2 ways from factory on a V6 : Just choose the Heavy duty brakes and cooling package or choose the optional Bigger red brembos. The package in Canada is 1400$ and the big red Brembo are an additional 4000$, both have 20'' wheels included at that price.
tbis2399 so you are comparing a $100,000+ car to a mid level Camaro? Genius... you should make a youtube channel comparing apples to oranges... you seem to have a knack for it.
For the price of the 2lt with rs and dual mode exhaust you might as well go for the 1ss. I know it doesn't have leather seats but I'd rather have a v8 with no leather than a high end v6 with leather for the cost.
+Lethalhammer I get what you're saying. I went with the v6 1lt RS A8 auto with technology package but for budget reasons. Either way nice to see some v6 love with all the hate I been seeing on Ig and TH-cam for v6 6gen's.
I'm not being a fanboy or anything but I used to have a 2012 v6 mustang before this GT and it sounded better from the inside than this cam does. However the v8 camaros do sound better than stang v8s stock for stock

@@Lethalgarage hey man quick question...compared to the 2015 2lt rs camaro...can the 2016 2lt rs front seats recline all the way back and have laying back space like the 2015?
Danny X nope lol
Chevy did it with this car, they hit the nail right on the head with this one. I love that the v6 sounds so goooooodd
The Camaro I test drove in July is still on the lot. They have to come down from $38k if they want to sell it.
bfee20021 a 2lt??
bfee20021 $38k for a 2LT? Might as well get an SS
I want the power of the v8, I just don’t want to pay $10,000 plus for it when this v6 gives me 335bhp
so I'm not gonna lie this is the first video that actually shows or demos the dual mode exhaust on the V6, you wouldn't believe the lack of videos of this on YT. other than that another great video!
sounds like I should break that part out to be its own video.
+Lethalhammer Borla Exhaust Installed
+Avery Owens I have now broken it out to make it easier for people to find.
+MrRgray1987 Would love to hear a Borla on a V6.
+Lethalhammer I don't have a V6 lol

i rented one to after an accident. Fun car to drive isn't it. V6 was not bad at all.
Sweet! Keep the V6 videos coming! Thanks Sledge!
+Juan Castillo Will try
sounds crazy good for a V6 not to mention that 7200 RPM redline crazy
+justin bouche right? REVS FOR DAYS.
Don't V6 engines always sound good? Atleast to me.
Jorma Teräs no, not normally
+justin bouche Well, I guess you are right, what a quick reply!
AHAHAHA, thanks. if you ever find a 04 V6 mustang or a 2010 V6 challenger, they sound horrible.
I love my rs❤️ traded in my basic 5th gen for the 16 rs and I love it. !! ❤️😍
+araceli medrano sanchez nice!
Let’s cruise if ur in Cali
I'm about to do the same thing!! but maybe a 2016-18

I just bought a 2015 2LT RS with low miles I love the sound he is getting from that exhaust. I think I’ll upgrade mine before summer
I have 2018 rs convertible and I put mbrp exhaust with an magnaflow x pipe and is Dope!!

how can I get the red lines on the front bumper? 6:48
Love the V6. Lol sometime I wish I would’ve had it over the 4-Banger RS I have now just because of that dual mode exhaust!
It's always a good thing when a new car actually *_loses_* weight!
thank you for the video, now i know which one i was looking for not the ss, but this version 2lt rs. :) awesome.
What is the best after market exhaust? Worth installing supercharger?
I rented a V6 convertible last year when that lady totaled my car. I was very impressed with the ride and the V6. Even caught a 2nd gear with the automatic once. If you just want a cruiser that's really fun the V6 is ok. With a couple of mods you could easily push close to 360-390 I'm sure which is a lot by standards up until 5 years ago.

What exhaust does he have is it the stocked GM dual exhaust or did he do a cat or resonator delete ?
Stock. I have the same too
I absolutely hated the new design until my buddy got his and I drove it.
That was a sweet machine! LOVE the front grill and wheel combination. Gotta have that V8 though my preference

I have a 15 v6 and his exhaust sounds way better lol. Only difference I could tell is mine growls a tad bit more
+Bravobraza what system?
That opening, and song, was awesome.
Agreed, what tune is that?
Just basic YT free music
Not for me, not a fan but the video of the car made up for it
does this trim or this particular car have the interior lighting that comes in the 2ss? and can you also get this same package in a convertible?
+robert larios you can get it with the lighting package and in a convertible
What are the full specs and mods placed into this Camaro? and total price? TY~

hey guys just bought a 2016 camaro RS my exhaust adaptive valve is rattling what can I do
Thanx I'm 6ft3 and I was wondering if I would fit, looks like u guys are in Oceanside?
+slimgoody503 pretty close I live down in Temecula

BigRoB did you end up getting one
and how did you paint the red lines on the lower grill, looks awesome
+Chest Cacho He used Plasti- Dip
400lbs lighter and 10hp does the trick
how do you rev the engine, i got mine w the same exhaust, auto and i was wonder how do you do it. this is my first automatic car.
... Put it in neutral
I love the dark gray, I think it looks fantastic

What was the throttle control he added?
btw, sweet car! I'm debating upgrading now or waiting for the 2017 Fifty
+Philar299 It's the Vitesse throttle Controller
What kind of MPG are you getting between the 8 and 6 cyl. engines?
+Jay “Hampton214” Simpson my V8 I see about 29hwy, 16 city
Does it have the 6 piston brembo front brake kit, and 4 piston rear? That would make it 100% worth it.
+Johnathan Yinger nope
You can have Brembos in 2 ways from factory on a V6 : Just choose the Heavy duty brakes and cooling package or choose the optional Bigger red brembos. The package in Canada is 1400$ and the big red Brembo are an additional 4000$, both have 20'' wheels included at that price.

My v6 @ 3500 miles, properly broken in, I get about 20mpg mix of city and hwy.
+Paraxsis not bad
I get 16 combined in my gen 5 v6... Then again I drive like an asshole
Break point is at 1500 right?
Yes, drive normal (under 4k RPMs and under 80mph) until you pass 1500 miles.
that exhaust sounds phenomenal and love the lightening fast shifts
it sounds ok for a v6
+Tbis2399 it sounds amazing for a v6
+Tbis2399 what car has a good sounding v6 according to you?
+trippplefive GTR any more brain busters?
tbis2399 so you are comparing a $100,000+ car to a mid level Camaro? Genius... you should make a youtube channel comparing apples to oranges... you seem to have a knack for it.
I want this new V6 Camaro. Just bought a new 2016 Chrysler 300S Hemi instead. Oh well, maybe next year 4 my B day!!
You chose wise going with a V8
+Garrett Craig but it's a Chrysler.....
Bravobraza underated car
For the price of the 2lt with rs and dual mode exhaust you might as well go for the 1ss. I know it doesn't have leather seats but I'd rather have a v8 with no leather than a high end v6 with leather for the cost.
+Darth Raider meh. Some people don't need the power.
+Lethalhammer I get what you're saying. I went with the v6 1lt RS A8 auto with technology package but for budget reasons. Either way nice to see some v6 love with all the hate I been seeing on Ig and TH-cam for v6 6gen's.
Man that v6 sounds good great vid!
What exhaust did he have on this Camaro?
Take this V6 over any V6 on the market..... Looks and sound sick ! 💪😎👍
Sounds so better than my 2013 V6 LT2 RS.
Bro please, what are those red pieces on the grille, I love them to death but I can’t find them. What are they called?
What kind of exhaust did he go with???
PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE YOUR AWESOME EXHAUST!!!!
I'm not being a fanboy or anything but I used to have a 2012 v6 mustang before this GT and it sounded better from the inside than this cam does. However the v8 camaros do sound better than stang v8s stock for stock
What rims are those
aint nothin wrong with the six banger
ha ha
+triplethreat563 you're simply wrong
Lethalhammer you're right Matt !
what is wrong with 335 horses triple-threat
+thomas halikas I guess he isn't old enough to know V8's at the start of 2000 had less.
Did he do anything to the exhaust, or is it that just stock? If that’s how it sounds stock then holy fuck 🤤
What size tires did he put on those MRR wheels?
40 is the aspect ratio on the front 35 on the rear. so im guessing he went with the stock ss sizes. 2454020 and 2753520
those wheels you can get them 20x11 and easily put 305s on them
how much does it have in cm3 ?
+ArsenaL cm3?
Lethalhammer in serbia we have that mesures aka cubics, i dont know how do you call that otherwise, i think i am not sure, but camaro 2.0L turbo has 2000cm3(Cubics)
and how much that one cost? and is it a good car?
Sounds better then previous gen v6 but still prefer the v8 growl
He has earned himself a new sub nice video!
Thanks for the support.
Is the engine and the exhaust the same as the LT base model?
+Rubber Duggy nope, his has dual mode
Rubber Duggy engine is the same and that's what really matters
do you know does he get much better mpg than the ss?
+pleb His average is 25mpg. My SS is about 19-20
it depends on how you drive it. I rented one for two weeks last year after an accident. It was hard to keep my foot out of it. That doesn't make for very good mileage. Trust me it's hard to keep your foot out of it because it's a fun car to drive.
I have the 1 LT RS V6 auto with tech package Hyper Blue great car!
+Stephen D Nice
is it possible to change an SS front grill putting an LT grill instead !!!!???
+Mounir Saada uhhh... I think they are the same size opening. But I could be wrong. Check with your dealer.
Does anyone know were I can get a good exhaust? I just a got a 16 Camaro
+Jonathan Perez you can order many different types or go to your local muffler shop and have then fix you up.
+Lethalhammer thanks. I'll give it a try
Have you done one on the 2.0T?
Not 100% version... but I did do the LS with a 2.0
i can see the guys at gm that decided a v6 camaro was a good idea giving eachother high fives everytime they sell one of these
can you get a 1lt v6 with the npp exhaust
why did you get an rs instead of an ss?
Money.....
Still not a bad car tho. Definitely can still have some fun in it and the interior is very nice.
What percent is that window tint?!
15%
wondering what wheels are those?
+Mikethekingg Those are the 5th gen MRR Z28 replica wheels
Great video!
Thanks
Hopefully in a few short months I can trade my Sonic in for a 2lt Camaro.
I Love It So Much Bro😍😍,That’s My Dream Sports Car That I’ve Ever Seen😱😱
Very nice machine we don't see many of these in the U.K. unfortunately
it reminds me of a vq Nissan exhaust note
these guys live in the same city as me haha I recognized a ride they were on
Very nice
how much you pay for month and how much downpayment
Sweet as car
nice are those the z28 wheels nvm just saw you mentioned it
+johnsonbigbob they are
Replicas

What size rims are those ?
+Henry Molina 20's
Lethal okay thanks 🙂

Does he have a TH-cam channel or ig
Ghosteye07 on IG
In my "personal opinion" the 2LT RS looks better than the 2SS. Not necessarily in your situation but in general.
luv that lip spoiler
Nice ride
Do you know why he chose the V6 over a V8? Because with all the extras and aftermarket wheels and tires he got, he could have just got a SS. I assume he wanted the V6 for another reason?

Matt tell your buddy nice car
