@@Thomas.R.Howell you absolutely should it's such a good series!! How is wheel of time? I own the first three books but the sheer number of entries in the series is intimidating me lol
Seems like you’re a big King fan looking at your bookshelf. I just started reading him a couple months ago! Actually just posted my boom review for pet Sematary on my channel
1 - The Last Wish 2 - Seasons of Storms 3 - Sword of Destiny 4 - Blood of Elves. Still haven't read the other books, though I might still buy Time of Contempt and Baptism of Fire. Thing is, when it comes to The Witcher, I only care about when it's about Geralt and his world. I don't care much about the political plots between the Kings and Queens, and I was disappointed learning that Geralt loose the status of protagonist as the saga goes on and Ciri becomes the protagonist. I like Ciri and loved her interactions with Geralt in both Swords of Destiny and Blood of Elves, but I'm more invested in Geralt and his world. Which is why I'm having a blast reading Seasons of Storms. Feels like a fantasy version of a James Bond and Jack Reacher novel.
I felt similarly after reading Blood of Elves because such a large portion of the book was politics, but I would recommend picking up Time of Contempt before giving up on the series. Geralt is definitely secondary to Ciri in it, but he's still in it a lot. Since ToC is where a lot of the politics from BoE pay off and is also a good indicator of what you'll be getting for the rest of the series it's worth a read Plus, Baptism of Fire is pretty much all Geralt :)
I have a different ranking on my top 3: 1 - The Last Wish 2 - Sword of Destiny 3 - Tower of the Swallow I think that Sapkowski is really good in short stories but very bad in long novels. From the 5 books of the primary story my favorite was Tower of the Swallow, the other 4 simply don't live up to this book.
Enjoyed hearing your thoughts! Glad to see your passion 😊
Thank you so much for watching!!! 😃
@@FrankThorntonReviews tower of swallows and time of contempt on TOP!!
