I found out my partner did not appreciate me putting on home alone music for Christmas last year in the last week, she did a good job putting on a smile because I had no idea. I will put on normal Christmas songs this year, but I will still secretly play home alone OST at work.

That’s disgraceful. Die Hard should be included on this list. It’s (one of) the greatest Christmas movie(s) of all time. And Christmas IS actually central to it’s plot: John McClane uses Christmas to try and reconcile with his wife Holly. And Hans Gruber tries to use the Xmas miracle to try and break into the Nakatomi vault. It’s set on Christmas Eve has references to Christmas throughout the film.
One of my favorite memories is watching the 24 hours of a Christmas story marathon with my dad starting on Christmas Eve. It’s his favorite movie and we still do it to this day
I honestly love the first movie but I also applaud the fact that they managed to make the sequel as great, enjoyable and fresh as the first. That's hard to do in a franchise without making it seem corny or cheesy.

Personally I like Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge in the computer animated Christmas Carol. His vocal range and performances for Scrooge and multiple characters is spectacular.

My favourite adaptation of A Christmas Carol is George C Scott's television movie version. Amazing visuals, brilliant acting and sticks closer to the original story, than some other adaptations. I also recommend the musical version, Scrooge, based on the stage musical.

My wife bought The Star for my kids a couple years ago. Initially I wasn't very happy, thinking it to be a throwaway, cheap, cash-in style movie. But actually I really like it! The camels are the best.
Just because Christmas is marginally relevant to the plot doesn't make it a Christmas movie, it could have been any other kind of party and the movie would have been the same. If you can take Christmas out of the movie and the movie still works, it's not a Christmas movie

We don’t exactly have a specific order that we watch Christmas movies at my house but one thing is for certain the past few years we’ve always saved the polar Xpress for Christmas Eve just because it’s the most Christmasy movie that we owned growing up and it’s just so magical and so perfect and so nostalgic

I can't believe that "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol" wasn't even in the honorable mentions. It is one of the best Christmas specials.

You know, I have a favorite Christmas movie that never gets mentioned. The rom-com "While You Were Sleeping", with Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman. I watch it, at least, once a year around December.
Home Alone, Elf, The Polar Express, Christmas Carol (2009), The Grinch (1966, 2000, 2018), and for good measure Nightmare Before Christmas.
All of which are the best Christmas films.

That’s disgraceful. Die Hard should be included on this list. It’s (one of) the greatest Christmas movie(s) of all time. And Christmas IS actually central to it’s plot: John McClane uses Christmas to try and reconcile with his wife Holly. And Hans Gruber tries to use the Xmas miracle to try and break into the Nakatomi vault. It’s set on Christmas Eve has references to Christmas throughout the film.

I honestly love the first movie but I also applaud the fact that they managed to make the sequel as great, enjoyable and fresh as the first. That's hard to do in a franchise without making it seem corny or cheesy.

Personally I like Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge in the computer animated Christmas Carol. His vocal range and performances for Scrooge and multiple characters is spectacular.

My favourite adaptation of A Christmas Carol is George C Scott's television movie version. Amazing visuals, brilliant acting and sticks closer to the original story, than some other adaptations. I also recommend the musical version, Scrooge, based on the stage musical.

My wife bought The Star for my kids a couple years ago. Initially I wasn't very happy, thinking it to be a throwaway, cheap, cash-in style movie. But actually I really like it! The camels are the best.
The fact they're having a Christmas party is why Hans chose that night to rob the bonds. Very important to the plot. SMH

We don’t exactly have a specific order that we watch Christmas movies at my house but one thing is for certain the past few years we’ve always saved the polar Xpress for Christmas Eve just because it’s the most Christmasy movie that we owned growing up and it’s just so magical and so perfect and so nostalgic

All I'm going to say is that Christmas is just as important to the plot in Die Hard as it does in Home Alone
