Okay, call me an Invader Zim fanboy but I honestly think Zim in "The Most Horrible Christmas Ever" episode was more convincing than Quillgin in the Regular Show Christmas Special. The voice of Boris Karloff brings to me very happy childhood memories. The priest of the church my family attended sounded EXACTLY like him...with a lisp. However, he was the sweetest soul you could meet. Hearing the Biblical writings of the First Christmas in that voice...it was rather entertaining! (Side note: nowhere in the Bible does it say that Jesus helps those who help themselves.)
I think at one point stop motion animation used clay to be done instead of puppets. Or a clay like model design. At least in some of the 80s specials. Look up Will Venton's Claymation specials.
Ironically, "Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer" was featured in WatchMojo's 'Top 10 Worst TV Specials' list that was posted not too long ago, and yet it was included as part of this holiday-themed video that I enjoyed nonetheless. :P
that may be true but you can deny cousin Nale deserves to be on this list, i mean she actually tried to sue Santa Claus just because she hates what Christmas is about and i quote "and i hate the feelings of this time of year, all this caring and sharing, so i kidnapped grandma and made Santa the fault guy, hey i deserve to be rich" if those aren't good enough reasons may i point her song which got her on the list in the first place
My favorite is probably the Burgermeister. Watching as a kid you see him just as a old grumpy guy. But grown up, he's kind of a Nazi. It's not just because he's German, watch the whole special and you'll see why.
Scrooge shouldn't really count since he started as a character in books, not TV, and as for the Grinch, the live movie with Jim Carrey gives some background on why he hates Christmas

Well, considering that Disney and Dr. Seuss (the latter of which I share the same birthday with) were two of the countless things (or people for this matter if you will) that I grew up with, I find it quite a coincidence that one of each of their characters receive the top two spots on this list. And gosh, do I remember watching the original 1964 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer as well as the 1969 Frosty the Snowman film on VHS. Those were fantastic films as well!

Scrooge should be number one because he is known worldwide. Also the Muppet version is the best version. I only know the grinch from the crappy Jim Carrey movie and I fell asleep halfway through that movie.
You seriously need to see the original animated 30-minute special. It's classic. I've watched it almost every year of my life (I was 2 years old when it first came on)!
I like all of these guys but the scariest is (in my opinion) Maestro Forte from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. A computer-animated talking pipe organ (voiced by Tim Curry, no less) trying to destroy all happiness in the Beast's castle should have at least been given an honorable mention.
An honorable mention should've gone to the Hero Boy in "The Polar Express". Granted, he's not a villain, but the thumbnail of the video mentions "doubters", which fits the category (also the hobo calls him that in the broken toy car on the train).

Mat Pat did a video on the Grinch's heart condition on Film Theory. he deduced that due to his small heart he is able to tire easily, Mat Pat even sympathizes with the Grinch over not having enough sleep after he is a new father of littler Oliver who at the time of the video's upload was a newborn. now he's a toddler.

What about the Terrorists from the christmas special in South Park? They kidnap and torture Santa (He mentions that one of them shot him in the balls. Ouch) and its up to the gang with Jesus to save them. In the end Santa was saved but Jesus was killed in the action.
My favourite on this list is Scrooge McDuck. That one I've pretty much watched at Xmas since before I can remember and I still watch it will my kids to this day.👍🏻 oh and the Muppets Christmas Carol too lol.

If you going for villains of Christmas than Robot Santa from Futurama and Oogie Boogie from the nightmare before christmas. They either have tired to kill or have killed many. Only going from on screen deaths and not maybe killing someone from Oogie. If you are going for doubters for Christmas. Many of the people on the list doesn't make since from they do believe, but have other motivations. Any how some other villains and doubters should be the boy from Polar Express, Ghost Writer from Danny Phantom or even Danny himself.
I really have an issue calling Ebenezer Scrooge, Professor Hinkle, & The Grinch villains. Ebenezer Scrooge may have been a grumpy miser, but we seem to overlook the fact that it's HIS money. He's not responsible for Bob Cratechets children. Professor Hinkle may have been cruel - but IT WAS HIS HAT that brought Frosty to life. He needed his hat to make a living. I understand that the children wanted it, but it was HIS hat. As for the Grinch - the poor guy just wanted to be left alone. If the Who's in Whoville would've respected that - he never would have come down from the mountain!

Robot Santa Claus would make a great Spider-man villain. Burgermeister Meisterburger a mayor of a town with a name like his? The Little Drummer Boy was a cartoon I saw as a child in 1973 I felt anything but jolly about. And how can Christmas be complete without Ebenezer Scrooge and The Grinch? Two of television's and movie history's greatest holiday season grouches/villains/doubters/disbelievers.
Even as a child in the 60's I knew the words Rankin-Bass meant a half hour of parentally enforced torture. It took over 25 years and geniuses like Tim Burton and Nick Park to bring back stop motion animation from the garbage filled graveyard they left it. And their cell animation was even worse.
One thing WatchMojo didn't mention about Burgermeister Meisterburger: One his most despicable actions was when he made local children cry by burning their toys right in front of them. Talk about crossing the line.
To be fair, Snowmiser loves Christmas because it makes him more popular. Heatmiser hates Christmas, because it makes him less popular. Snowmiser, thus does not hate Christmas, he just hates working with his stepbrother.
Heat Miser should have just moved to Australia-or anywhere that always has hot Christmases! I'm sure they'd celebrate it the way he wants it! Ornaments on a Palm tree and Santa arriving on a jet ski pulled by 8 dolphins!

Bad writing. Claymation and stop motion are two very separate things even though they are filmed the same way.

Maybe Scrooge started from a book but ,so did the Grinch.The book was published close to a decade before the cartoon.

I think that you need to make another list.I have some suggestions -Mrs Mavilda (1991 The Christmas Tree), The Miser Brothers other brother( A Miser Brothers Christmas),The Toy Taker( Rudolph the red nose reindeer and the island of the misfit toys)The rhinoceros( Babar and Father Christmas) I can name a lot more.
Mat Pat did a video on the Grinch's heart condition on Film Theory. he deduced that due to his small heart he is able to tire easily, Mat Pat even sympathizes with the Grinch over not having enough sleep after he is a new father of littler Oliver who at the time of the video's upload was a newborn. now he's a toddler.
Okay, this is a pet peeve of mine, but Rankin/Bass didn't use clay animation (and neither does Henry Selick for those who think so).
This was a surprisingly good list. Thanks for not trying to cater to the new generation with this list. The classics are the best.

What about the Terrorists from the christmas special in South Park? They kidnap and torture Santa (He mentions that one of them shot him in the balls. Ouch) and its up to the gang with Jesus to save them. In the end Santa was saved but Jesus was killed in the action.

My favourite on this list is Scrooge McDuck. That one I've pretty much watched at Xmas since before I can remember and I still watch it will my kids to this day.👍🏻 oh and the Muppets Christmas Carol too lol.

If you going for villains of Christmas than Robot Santa from Futurama and Oogie Boogie from the nightmare before christmas. They either have tired to kill or have killed many. Only going from on screen deaths and not maybe killing someone from Oogie. If you are going for doubters for Christmas. Many of the people on the list doesn't make since from they do believe, but have other motivations. Any how some other villains and doubters should be the boy from Polar Express, Ghost Writer from Danny Phantom or even Danny himself.

I would switch The Miser Brothers with Ben Haramed and then the list is perfect.
I really have an issue calling Ebenezer Scrooge, Professor Hinkle, & The Grinch villains. Ebenezer Scrooge may have been a grumpy miser, but we seem to overlook the fact that it's HIS money. He's not responsible for Bob Cratechets children. Professor Hinkle may have been cruel - but IT WAS HIS HAT that brought Frosty to life. He needed his hat to make a living. I understand that the children wanted it, but it was HIS hat. As for the Grinch - the poor guy just wanted to be left alone. If the Who's in Whoville would've respected that - he never would have come down from the mountain!
Professor Hinkle deserves to lose his hat for being the worst magician.

I think one of the morals of "How the Grinch stole Christmas" is that, if you bully someone to often, he might turn against you to ruin your life.

Robot Santa Claus would make a great Spider-man villain. Burgermeister Meisterburger a mayor of a town with a name like his? The Little Drummer Boy was a cartoon I saw as a child in 1973 I felt anything but jolly about. And how can Christmas be complete without Ebenezer Scrooge and The Grinch? Two of television's and movie history's greatest holiday season grouches/villains/doubters/disbelievers.

Even as a child in the 60's I knew the words Rankin-Bass meant a half hour of parentally enforced torture. It took over 25 years and geniuses like Tim Burton and Nick Park to bring back stop motion animation from the garbage filled graveyard they left it. And their cell animation was even worse.
Hey, Santa Claus is Comin' To Town was pretty good. I mean the Miser Bros are pretty badass. Let's not forget Burger Meister Meister Burger.
One thing WatchMojo didn't mention about Burgermeister Meisterburger: One his most despicable actions was when he made local children cry by burning their toys right in front of them. Talk about crossing the line.

To be fair, Snowmiser loves Christmas because it makes him more popular. Heatmiser hates Christmas, because it makes him less popular. Snowmiser, thus does not hate Christmas, he just hates working with his stepbrother.
