      It’s a great campground, one of my favorites. I think I’m adjusting my music expectations, it’s seems that is becoming the norm, when I hear it now I’m like “it is what it is” I still won’t play my music though, but I try not to let people’s music bother me anymore. About half a mile further up from McGill is Chula Vista Campground, also at 8,300’ elevation. From the Mt Pinos ranger station parking lot it’s a very short 2 minute walk to the campground. Well maintained, with picnic tables, fire pits, and pit toilets, this is a first come first served campground. The best part is this campground is FREE!

    • @filmsbyone
      @filmsbyone  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a couple of hour drive to get away from LA is a pretty good time! $175 on gas? I mean if you drive a car that gives you 5 mpg maybe, but to drive back and forth it cost us around $70, let’s say $100 on food, and let’s say $70 for the site for a couple of nights. I think $250 for a family of four to take a small break is a pretty good deal! If you stay at a hotel it would be at least $250 on the hotel alone, eating out for a couple of days another $150-200, plus the gas no?

    Mr Blasquez, you can't and shouldn't force your opinions on others. Here in America, it is customary to BBQ, drink beer and play music at the campground. Perhaps you are a bit confused about the nature of the activities; if you like silence with your camping, you should engage in dispersed camping or go to retreats that have a code of silence. No disrespect, but you got to be the first Latino I see who doesn't like music. All other Lationos and Hispanic people whom I know, love to blast their music all the time everywhere ( pure vida)

    • @filmsbyone
      @filmsbyone  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I agree that disperse camping is a good choice, and I’m ok with people playing music. I’m not forcing my opinion on others, but I do have the right to have an opinion, you may not like it and feel sensitive about it, but it’s still my opinion. I’ve been camping for MANY years in many different places, and it honestly is never really a big problem (minus lake Perris, someone playing a trumpet at 7 am) people who camp tend to be more considerate of others, at least I am, I wouldn’t assume that people want to listen to my specific taste of music. When I go into nature I rather listen to birds, the creek, people talking, kids playing than listen to someone’s taste in music. For grilling, drinking beer and music, I have a kick ass patio. Sorry to disappoint by being a Latino that doesn’t dance and play music loud haha. But you are right, I should just expect to people play their music and be ok with it.
