Yesterday I got my DGT Pegasus. And instead of opening it, decided to make a unboxing video about it. Compared the sizes of the pieces with a DGT Centaur and the DGT TimeLess pieces.

I indeed ordered it directly from DGT so I didn't have to wait for the resellers to get there stock delivered (and fed into there webshops, administration, etc). ;-)
@@PH2LB That's what I should have done. I do a lot of chessboard reviews. I waited too long for ChessHouse or these other sites to have Pegasus in stock. Now it probably won't get here before xmas :) Glad to know that someone has it in stock though. Thanks a lot!
Sorry for the late reply. To play against a computer I prefer the Centaur. But like the Pegasus for the online playing part. It has some problems with the software but updates are coming soon.
6:34 what mobile fon you use here? With which (older) smartphone does the "DGT Chess App" work? I want to use a separate (older used) smartphone with DGT Pegasus
DGT must provide firmware update to DGT Pegasus to improve move recognition. They should fix the SPECIFIC ORDER WHEN EXECUTING A PIECE CAPTURE, where you have to remove first the piece to be captured and replace it with the capturing piece. If you do the reverse where you first lift the capturing piece and remove the piece to be captured and replace it with the capturing piece then the board has high probability to run into problem of not accepting/recognizing the move. This is what I discovered with my DGT Pegasus. While in my DGT Centaur I have no issues regardless of which order the capture is executed. THE DGT PEGASUS SHOULD RELIABLY RECOGNIZE THE PIECE CAPTURE MOVE REGARDLESS OF THE ORDER IT WAS EXECUTED. I hope users of DGT Pegasus will give feedback to DGT.
Thanks for the review. Some unboxing advice: spend less time on the box and instruction book (2-5 seconds would be ideal) and more time playing the thing.
Honestly I think that's subjective. For myself it's better this way, I don't have a lot of room, and I tend to move my boards around a lot. Makes it easier to switch between black and white sides as well.

I don't understand why they put the notch with dgt symbol over the D and E squares, they should have put it just below on the black frame
It is an eye sore isn't it? I will put a black tape on it for sure.

@@plan0go I used my old Motorola G. But any old android >= 7 will do.

Mijn probleem met dit bord is dat ie alleen voor online spelen is gemaakt. Hij is nu al ingehaald door Square Off en bv Chessnut Air
