I had this song playing while I babysat my three year old sister one time. Maybe it was the colours or just the music in general, but she started watching it. She asked my who the person was, so I told her that it was V4 Flower. Now anytime she's in my room, she asks to listen to this, and anytime she sees someone who looks vaguely similar to the character in the video, she says "It's V4 Flower!".
Extra Bit - While she can recognize V4 Flower easily, she can also usually tell me what character is Say and what character is Arc. However, she doesn't say who they are without being asked (where as she'll shout "It's V4 Flower" the moment she sees this video). Instead, she focuses on the hands in the background, trying to copy what they are doing.

Theory time:
So the person eating the cake has black nails, Flower has pink nails. Which means she isn't eating the cake. In the song she says "Take a bite of me, now that I have become a favorable delicacy. The black nailed person took a bite of the cake, cake is a delicacy to most people. She also says "Divide my life away into servings." If you are getting a slice cake, you are getting a serving of cake. She is splitting her personalities that she uses for different people and parts of her life so everybody's happy. This all means that she is possibly the cake herself. Then at the end she is breaking down and starting to lose her composer. Then the black nailed person throws away the cake because they don't like the cake anymore.

So my theory is, if you didn't understand the song, Flower is trying to satisfy everyone and make everyone happy, Comparing herself to a desert. She starts taking it too far, cutting out bits of her real personality to replace it with her "Perfect Identity". She then doesn't know who she is anymore, but that doesn't matter to her. She's the perfect sweet desert everyone loves.

As far as I can tell, this song is about someone who tries to act like everyone around her to get them to like her, but people don't think they can trust her to be the same person she was 5 minutes ago, so she loses all personality altogether to appease them. People don't like her for that, either, since she is boring and has no personality, so she goes back to copying other people, in an endless cycle of confusion. She eventually forgets who she actually is, so she is left not knowing what to do except continue repeating her rollercoaster of personality.

I'd say this is more of a metaphor for "Borderline Personality Disorder", where the person tends to have a severe issue with trust, rather than themselves. They can't trust that the person won't abandon them if they don't change their personality.

This song is such a perfect example of the feeling of desiring so deeply to appeal to everyone, just so you can have the tiniest taste of validation for the person you are. The worst part being that no one actually dislikes you to begin with, you've just gaslit yourself into thinking you're not enough, that others actively hate and cannot stand you due to you being abhorrant or overwhelming. Even when the people that care about you are trying to tell you that you're fine as is, you refuse to listen, only seeing it as doubling down on yourself as a burden and your pain as being dramatic. That you as you are is the only thing in the way of being liked by others. All just to end up completely ruining yourself and struggling with the same self hatred even as you've left yourself with nothing else to cut out, forced to acknowledge that all youve done is hurt those you care about most by forcing them to watch you destroy yourself, not even able to believe that their pain is a result of your self destruction, to the point of not understanding how you destroying yourself hasn't made them happy, aligning the two concepts of pleasing others and your own pain and suffering to be one in the same
Honestly, nothing hurts me as much as the desperation behind "why are you happy?" God I wish I could explain how accurate this is. Eating is not something I and many others do. Struggling to find validation from anyone you see is horrible and tiring and I wish I knew how to be my true self. But I’ve lost it and I won’t ever be able to find it. Now I’m rambling in a comment section. But this is an amazing song to describe how it feels,. Not feeling good enough despite the years of effort you put in, being told you’re too clingy or too sad or too stupid or just changing your life for the worse to make others care about you. That’s what it’s about. It’s about finding someone to love you.

I had to go thought this a couple years back, what helped me was, instead of thinking "how can I help or please this person who I've met" I ask myself more questions envoling my oppinion and litterally ask myself "do I like (insert piece of media or activity)" if it was a yes I'd try and get into it and it's helped me become more of my own person, hope your mental health gets better soon and that the good chemicals come your way!! Also if these don't work don't give up just try other thingies until you feel like you've built up yourself, also I've found trying to sound confident in what I say and Checking if you're friends with that person for yourself or for them is important too. Stay strong and if you think no one loves you then look and soon enough you'll find someone who does

I can relate to this song so much. I am probably the worst people-pleaser ever. I've even described myself as a platonic simp lol. I have this overwhelming desire to please everyone all the time, and end up sort of "attaching" myself to them to the point where I can't tell where I begin and where my friend ends. And when our relationship ends, I don't know who I am anymore; my identity is taken from me. I also have a tendency to overeat as a result of stress, loneliness, etc to the point where I feel nauseous.
Lock-down helped a lot with this problem because I was torn apart from everyone I know and forced to figure out who was and who wanted to be. I also discovered Ghost and the vocaloid community! I'm doing a whole lot better now that I'm aware of my people-pleasing tendencies, and this will always remain one of my all-time favorite comfort songs.

I am in no way a professional, but this sounds like a symptom of Borderline Personality Disorder. BPD is basically characterized by an unhealthy attachment to people, emotional instability, impulsivity and insecurity. If that sounds like you, then I'd recommend more research into this topic and if it's available, going to a professional about this. Jesus christ this song hits home in so many ways. The metaphor is brilliant and just... I love this song, I love you, you brilliant person. Some of us find it hard to find music we feel on a personal level, and yet you seem to write beautiful poetry that just connects with us as an audience so consistently. It's like Project Mili's darker counterpart in that regard, and that is a wonderful thing. Keep being you, and don't forget to put yourself first.

There's 2 parts to it, the first one (and most clear one) is someone who has a really rough eating disorder anorexia or something like that. Secondarily, this person apparently also wants to "make everyone happy", which can relate with the eating disorder, this person thinks that maybe their hunger makes them think about something else than just pleasing everyone else

I really love how you vividly expressed the cycles of eating disorders, both bulimia and anorexia while also implementing the way how sometimes these disorders are caused from constantly seeking validation from others.
It's an endless cycle of pain where if you get caught up enough into it-- you genuinely don't know who you are anymore.
It becomes difficult to differentiate what parts are actually you and what parts are just the characteristics and physicalities you created for your "audience"
