I hope you see this! But last year this time it was rough for me. I was basically bed-ridden with anxiety and panic attacks. I was playing Adventure Archives on loop and it truly helped me. The positivity, the beauty of nature and camaraderie, and the sense of progression helped me through those struggles. From the bottom of my heart, thank you SO much. Your art helped me through my darkest days.
Probably been said below but: Snow gaiters will keep your legs dry. Chemical handwarmers are worth their weight in gold. if it's very cold you can put one under your gas cannister for cooking, it (usually for me) keeps the gas flowing. Hot water in a nalgene bottle wrapped in a sock at the bottom of your sleeping bag will bring the bag up to temp and help keep your feet warm. Changing into clean clothes will keep you warm. no matter how little you sweat their is always perspiration dampening your clothes. Put your boots in your bag so they don't freeze. (I usually turn the waterproof bag that I carry my clothes in inside out for the boots) Thanks for another awesome adventure!
The backpackers at 19:56 were me (front), my older sister and older brother (back). We were hiking to site 3, which is further down the trail. I remember being very worried we wouldn't get a site because we saw you guys at site 2 even though no one signed up for it. We feared there would be more people at site 3 who did the same thing and the hike down there would be all for naught. Fortunately we had the site to ourselves and it was a beautiful night. Temperatures dropped big time, but we were well prepared. The same skiers that came through your site also came through ours and we chatted for a bit. They were very nice, also mentioned it was -4 by their house which we were surprised about. We left in the morning before you guys, we said hello as we passed, I'm sure you remember! We also decided to walk on the frozen stream, those footsteps were ours! It was a lot easier than walking through the snow (we wished we had snow shoes for the hike down!). Going up that hill in the snow is a tremendous workout! We also visited the dam in the morning which was beautiful. I'd say the weather was perfect. We live close to Cleveland and we've been backpacking in Mohican for years year-round. We go there constantly, it never gets old. Winter camping has always been my favorite out there because the silence and scenery is unmatched, and no bugs! I'm happy to see you guys enjoyed a nice sunny morning, those seem to be very common when camping in Mohican!
So, what you are really saying here is there three guys are jerks who used a site without properly reserving one. Tsk tsk, AA (except Robby, because who can get mad at those eyes)
My favorite part of the winter videos is that I get to enjoy the beautiful scenery while sitting in my warm house eating cookies and popcorn. No need to suffer through the cold myself.
As a photographer who spends so much time on my computer editing sessions, I'm always SO STOKED when you guys upload because there is nothing better to edit to than your adventures. Theyre so chill yet I get so much excitement out of your videos - i dont know. Really really enjoy your friendship, your excitement for the small things and the random trivia. Just really love your videos! So thanks for making my job easier and giving me all the good vibes! Cheers from a German gal who envies your american nature!
If you guys never went to these places in the dead of winter I would not have the privilege of seeing this side of nature. Thank you for braving 1 degree temperatures to make this happen. Much respect because that had to be tough.
What a great adventure. Amazing the meals you put together in the cold. You are so blessed to have this group of guys that each add their own talents and creativity to your trips.
I don't want to be a downer, but I've been having a very tough time recently. Been feeling very depressed. I love the serenity of this content along with how sweet and insightful you all are. Thanks for sharing your adventures and making videos that finally help me find some calm and the ability to sleep.. I appreciate it ☺
This one is definitely a favorite of mine. I am a new college professor and have to spend a lot of time making my lectures from scratch, so love throwing these videos on in the background to pass the time. Relaxing yet invigorating to take in all the awesome scenery. And seeing how cold you guys were really made me appreciate my office lol.
I actually said "Awe omg" out loud when I saw the older video clips. Also, Andrew singing should be an addition to every video! Another awesome video :) Looking forward to more adventures
Lived in the Cleveland area for more than 20 years and finally headed to Mohican for the first time this weekend (under much better conditions). Can’t wait to explore and enjoy this hidden gem of Ohio.
now THIS is the winter episode I've been waiting for!!! Most underrated channel on youtube. The fact that you guys have less than 3 million subscribers is a CRIME. I found this channel 3 years ago and I've been watching ever since.
Want the perfect fire starter? Clothes dryer filter lint. Collect it for about a week and you will have a zip lock bag full, it will catch on fire no matter how cold.
Something I found to be very helpful on a really frigid winter camping experience was to boil water to refill your Nalgene and take that into your sleeping bag with you. I remember that making impossible sleep possible.
Would love to see more winter excursions like this! Love your videos. Saw someone comment on how great it is to watch you guys eat together. I definitely agree. Thank you all for sharing!
What you saw was a 'dry dam'. It has no lake behind it, except when there is flooding downstream (in Coshocton). Then, it fills with water behind it, forming a temporary lake. It's designed as a lake during flooding, but used as recreational park during dry weather. It is quite an awesome thing to see, in person. I drove across the dam, before.
Hi guys! I love you hiking videos. But, I am partial to Mohican as I grew up in Mansfield. This video brings back a lot of great memories. You should hike in the fall colors of Mohican and the majestic view of the lookout section of the park. My disability kept me from hiking and camping so I will live vicariously through your.archived adventures.
Yes it is. My family and I hang out down there all the time. The hiking is amazing, and the fishing is great too. Class B campsites are really nice along the river.
Awesome episode as always.... but I have to say, sticking around until the end to watch "Baka Mitai / I've Been A Fool" karaoke video is the best thing so far from the crew... BRAVO!!!
So glad to see a new episode. Missed the adventures these past few months. Even if you guys almost had to freeze you buns off.. (but thanks to the seat cushions, I bet they helped).. lol.. Waiting for more videos and hope you have better weather real soon.
I was just there, during the last week of March. I spent the day hiking at Mohican Memorial State Forest and Mohican State Park. The covered bridge is an essential part of Mohican State Park, just like the fire tower is an essential part of Mohican Memorial Forest.
Snowshoeing makes it so much easier :) I used to help keep trails clear at a conservation area for my one placement. I was super happy with the snowshoes.
👋KC from SC , cant Thank you guys enough for this up load, im a Huge fan and been anxiously waiting for this !!! from one hiker to the other "pack light" "step furm"," walk the distance" keep inspiring us💙
absolutely love the vidoes, also Love the tom nook beanie! I've been watching for about a year or so now. Thank you, for allowing me to escape from the office with your content. I love your editing, and the work you put in is phenomenal. As a Kentuckian, I hope to meet you guys in the gorge one day! Cheers!
Great trip. I did a winter camp a couple of years ago and it got down to 6f and I was fine. This year the low temp was projected to be 6f but it turned out to be 0f. Sleeping was OK but being outdoors was a real challenge. Went through a lot of fire wood. Note at below 10f my Bic lighter did not work. Thank goodness for fire steel.
I've hiked and camped since the 70's. Amazing how the gear has changed (and improved). However, I still have the same Northface goose down coat. I guess it pays to buy quality. It's fun to see you guys setting up camp and cooking. I love the grilled zucchini you made over the flames. My hat off to you. I have never winter camped and don't think I could brave it.
Wonderful video as always, watching makes me excited to hike more in the coming spring and to camp with absent friends in the future. Hope everyone is well!!
Always appreciate the time and effort you guys put into making quality adventures for us to watch. Another enjoyable view, although I do believe it grew colder in our living room as we watched. Thanks all...and, Thomas, we missed you!
This was a really nice video as always. I have to say I also enjoy seeing how happy you guys are when you go to eat your after hike meals. You find many interesting local restaurants for these dinners.
Thank you guys this literally made my day, week and month. I had/have some really crappy times and since Corona not much good happened instead a wave of bad stuff came a long like a constant rollercoaster. But your videos, your adventures always bring some light into my days and lighten up my mood. Thank you for being there for us. Thank you for doing what you are doing. Stay safe, happy and healthy! Cheers from Vienna~
Ya'll really could have found some snowshoes handy possibly. They might have helped you conserve some energy hiking through all that snow, every painstaking footstep, paying attention to every single step. My back feels for your back. But seriously, this park is absolutely amazing. Incredible winter beauty for sure ✌✌🤞
Love your guys' channel! Really excited for the spring/summertime and what you have in store for the channel, hopefully we'll all be able to get out more soon. :)
What a great winter adventure, you guys are awesome!! And I loved to see the old video of your first hike there!! Thanks a million for every step you take (and taking us with you) 🌳💚🌲
Just had my first near Zero night hiking and everything here is on point! haha Frozen EVERYTHING! lol Hard on the camera battery too even sleeping with them. Keep filming!
Aaaww I really love the music, love the nature and i just like you guys :) So this was so very pleasant to watch! Especially the ending scenes were quite a treat! Have a great day and greetings from Berlin

So cool!

same here, editing while these guys are hiking in the background is just perfect to set the right mood :)
Thanks so much!
I love when you guys give a description of the journeys and sceneries,it’s so poetic
If you guys never went to these places in the dead of winter I would not have the privilege of seeing this side of nature. Thank you for braving 1 degree temperatures to make this happen. Much respect because that had to be tough.
I always hate having to wait so long for a new episode, but man is it worth it every time!
I Agree!!! Bump up the frequency! Job? Who needs a job? ;)

Best channel ever!!! You rock guys, I enjoy so much watching your videos... thank you!
I want to go winter camping right now more than I ever had in my life.

Thanks so much for your comment, we're so glad the videos have helped you with your tough time and we hope you're feeling better!
The longer format works really well. And you're still able to tell a very good story with less music and more natural sounds.

Greetings, glad you're back, sitting in favorite chair beside the fire, glad you're safe & healthy, carry on thankyou
I'm third in line at 19:55! That was a cold night!
Happy to see you all together again... Group laughter, sharing meals around a fire.... Your the best AA❤️👍
I love the videos with a passion but recently am living for the extras at the end 😂 thank you!!!
The credits. Always the best credits
It’s crazy how an 85 minute videos goes by so fast! It’s always such a pleasure to watch your videos, I could easily watch something twice as long!

The Rush Hour blooper was amazing 😂😂
I love your 'They Live' reference in the credits. Great movie and great way to bring your patrons in on your production!
23:13 is one of the most warm scene ever. Thank you, AA team, for this video. Best regard from Indonesia.
I remember watching those early hikes at Mohican and Zaleski! Great to see the "Reunion Tour"!! Well done.

Great episode. Strangely enough, this made me actually miss winter.
Really enjoyed this episode, as always. Loved the old footage from the first visit. Shout outs made me laugh out loud.

Mohican is such an underrated park in Ohio!

Awesome, but Chilly video. Cooled me off quite a bit here in Rural Southern Mexico!!! Thanks.
The low key Hank Hill references were my favorite part

When Andrew is wearing this many clothes, you gotta believe that it's really cold out there.
Another awesome episode guys!!
I stayed at the same site 2 months ago, that stone table is so awesome!

Really nice hiking-adventure!
Awesome thank you!
That Yakuza karaoke is hilarious. Arigatou 🙏🙏
Great episode! Thanks for doing what you do.
Snowshoeing makes it so much easier :)

I was super happy with the snowshoes.
i love the cooking!

im suprised it wasn't completely frozen.
great job guys :)

It’s amazing when you have spent a below zero degree night in the woods how warm 30 degrees feels. That snow becomes a mess though.
so true!
EVERY episode should have Andrew singing karaoke! Perhaps lyrics to your theme song?? And the old video clips were a great touch.
Thank you guys this is so peaceful ❤️

ANDREW SLAPPING ON THAT LAST TRACK!!!!!
Great video guys, you really nailed what winter camping is all about with this one. A very enjoyable romp through the winter woods!
Nice video, I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank guys, keep it up 👍👍👍 !
You eat so well it's really inspiring me to step up my backpacking food. But also I don't think I'll be camping in the snow any time soon.
I haven't overnight snow hiked in over 20 years. We occasionally get a dusting on the trails, but it's rare. Very nice!
Ya'll really could have found some snowshoes handy possibly. I know, I know. Not the first episode it’s used in. 🙂
Love this ❤ you guys are nuts tho ⛺⛺in them temps but what a fab vid Andrew is wasted in camp an needs to sign a record deal for his singing 🎶🎶🎶🎤 haha
Covered bridges are also a New England thing.
I enjoy visiting them because it gives me nostalgic Sleepy Hollow Halloween vibes.
Beerlejuice vibes for me.

Love you guys . Learning lot of things from your channel. I am inviting you guys in New Jersey. Please let me know. Thanks
