The music in the beginning while you guys were doing the initial drive around 1:15 into the video sounded so much like an old video game! Makes me wonder who wrote the music, knowing the music is all done by you guys!
Guys, I am having a blast watching your backpacking videos. I just started backpacking this year though I've been a camper since I was very young. Absolutely love the plant identifcations and things, what does Andrew have a doctorate in horticulture or something? I am more on the herpetologist line, really love the snakes, reptiles and amphibians. Especially liked your Zalesky park winter video as Zalesky was my first overnight backpacking trip day after thanksgiving last year (got some snow that night and was testing cold weather gear). That trail kicked my butt .. hard, but looking back on it, it was just an awesome experience. Wondering what video games you guys do .. I saw Thomas' 49" curved screen (that's what I have too and it's awesome) .. you do things like ultima, star wars online, divinity (my all time fave), wreckfest? Thought about looking up your discord channel the other day when online playing wreckfest with my friend and his wife. Are all you guys all from Columbus? I know Thomas is not in town anymore, but seems like the rest of you are basically my neighbors .. I am in westerville (from cinci) and an IT guy at Nationwide Ins. I retire next year and am going to be trekking all over America and internationally periodically. Went to Patreon (first time there so not familiar with it) to give you guys a donation to keep it up, but the signup scared me a bit .. wanted to make a one-time donation, and was choosing the "Pathfinder" option, but reading more carefully it was a charge per video .. so got worried that if you guys released 100 videos tomorrow, I would be charged $5000 lol .. yes, I know that's unrealistic to release that many videos in a short time, but the signup just seemed to take the control of how much I am paying out of my hands .. am I missing something here? Packit Gourmet has been one of the best we've tried! (Thanks to viewer Ron Mueller) Prepping it sometimes takes a little more effort but its more than worth it! (Check out our Red River Gorge and Grayson Highlands videos to see us eating them)
Great video except for the fire starting. I enjoyed the entire trip. Why in the world though, would you use a blade edge on a ferro rod? That's what the square spine is for, so you can save your blade.

Some of the iron furnaces were fired with charcoal and could burn the wood from 100 acres in just a single year.
