It was such a fun time to open this show with my band The King Street Giants featuring Wylie Woods - great time. Great to meet Paulo Baldi and have him play my drums!
WOW ... many thx for sharing... great combo... and Les is full in his element ... he need to play & entertain ... he is born for this... really love his sense of humor ... so down to earth... and look.. his amp & box... different... but same damn cool sound... love it... ❤🤘🏻
YES. With Les there always is more, more, more... Thanks, just the cure I was lookin for... The lens distortion is adding to the Riddles around tonight... Very Les-ish, very Claypoolian...smiles all around tonight.. Awesome thanks again and again..... PeaceOrElse
Nice little neighborhood jam. I used to live in Sebastopol and I loved that there was several musicians and artists in our community, like Les and Tom Waits. You could be at a little league game and run into one of these guys or at the barber shop or at the Farmers Market.. or out at breakfast at Howard's.. most normal fellow residents you could find
hey Kehoe! you remember that one time about 23 years ago at the Phoenix theatre where someone on the side of the stage handed you some everlear? and them Jerry Cantrell came out for a jam? and then Les came out with whamola version 1.0 and screwed around some as well? yeah, that was cool. cooler than you! 😉
My only complaint in the Ridic Yuge amount of ad's - most of them the 2 min Cancer Patient or survival food / tech hoodie types - not sure if that's the uploader or you tube monetizing . . .
@@sideshowbob this channel is not monetized, the copyright is auto-detected by their respective holders who then place ads. the products themselves are custom targeted to you based on your history...
@@TopHatTapes Sorry, yeah, I've encountered that before w/folks I know who upload vid's - very frustrating, also that I never patronize any of these ad offers, not sure how they figured out my preferences - I am a history nerd so I guess that puts me in the Prepper stereotype. At least I'm not getting "Low T Booster" product ad's lmfao
8You can replace Tim Alexander but his greatness will never be achieved I wish him the best of luck and I'm sure he's not through playing music just with Primus and I can understand him being burnt out on touring and wanting to spend time with his family and the primus musac an scene is just not doing it for him anymore. Hey more power to him . He's one of the greatest drummers the past 30 years and he'll find another gig in my mind he is the best drummer the past 30 years and he has had more influence on my drumming career than any body the past 30. Possibly even a gig with Geddy Lee and Alex lifeson there wouldn't be a better drummer to start a new project with those2 then herb Alexander after seeing Primus do the tribute to rush for farewell to Kings which is a very difficult album to learn let alone learning Xanadu and then you put Cinderella Man cygnus X-1 book 1 on top of that and you've got some pretty amazing music that they absolutely nailed every night and I was fortunate enough to see them three times on that tour and they just kept getting better each night. I thought about trying out for Primus but I wouldn't want to disrespect herb and his legacy not that you know I would show him up or anything and I don't think any of these drummers that try to join Primus will even come close to the greatness that he is but you know Les and Larry want to continue the band and I understand that. I don't know why they just don't get Jay Lane. I mean he was the original drummer for this band and sausage and he's a hell of a lot better than brain. Jay Lane reminds me a lot of Stewart Copeland. But I wish Larry Lalonde and Les Claypool the best cuz you know I've seen Primus cuz you know I've seen Primus every tour that they've ever done with Tim Alexander I've never seen them with any other drummer and I even saw Primus open up for Rush during the roll the bones tour in 92 add UNO Lakefront Arena in Metairie Louisiana. That was the greatest concert of my life. And I've seen Primus during Frizzle Fry at Tipitina's in New Orleans in 1990 or 91. I saw Primus twice during sailing the Seas of cheese when they opened up for Rush and at Lollapalooza. Then I saw them at State Palace Theater in New Orleans for pork soda which was the best show they ever did as a band they were absolutely on top of their game during pork soda wow. And I saw them again at State Palace for Tales from the Punchbowl. I also saw them when they were under the assumed name Voltron during their 2004 EP animals should not try to act like people no I didn't say every toy that they've ever been on with Primus that I've seen with Tim Alexander just for every album they've ever done and then I didn't see them again till 2015 for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Civic Theater in New Orleans and then I saw them again two or three years later for the second best show that Primus ever did in my mind for the desaturating seven album. The only show that rival this was pork soda And the desaturating 7 is a really great album. And they just pulled off two incredible sets that blew my mind at the Civic Theater once again. And of course I saw them at the House of Blues for The Rush tribute in New Orleans. And then I saw them again in Atlanta and Nashville for The Rush tribute. But to reiterate the two best primer shows I've ever seen are pork soda then to saturating seven but the best concert I've ever been to in my entire life was the rush and Primus show in 92 at UNO Lakefront Arena. Could you imagine that 3 years after you join Primus as the drummer you end up going out on tour or asked to go out on tour with Rush that just tells you how significant Tim Alexander and Les Claypool were to the music world then and obviously surprising in a rush got the notification that Primus was a band of Epic Proportions when it came to musical ability. You know and I believe Primus was one of the first bands to be on Interscope Records I know sailing the Seas of cheese was the first album they had on there and interscope records ended up signing just tons of rap crap and pop musician nonsense since then.
I'm only a half hour in, & this is already FAR superior to any of the bands he's been touring with in the past few decades - yeah Primus is great but it's the same every show - the other bands - well let's just say I'm not into the Nepo Baby thing lol . . .
Wow must be so cool to see him play in such a tiny venue!
It was such a fun time to open this show with my band The King Street Giants featuring Wylie Woods - great time. Great to meet Paulo Baldi and have him play my drums!

Such a cool find. It's so good to see Paulo on drums. I remember him well in San Francisco.
Deadweight, that was the band. If anyone is interested, definitely check out those recordings.
Les Claypool, a man of many keys.
Good to see Kehoe rippin’ it like he did in M.I.R.V. back in the day.
the love for M.I.R.V. is understated!

Super cool bone/bass improv, wasn't expecting that- Jason Thor is a bad dude.
Sounds like Paulo's got the job if he wants it. 👍
Cool show. Bummed I didn't get a call😂

I see Les had a part time job as a janitor.
Every bass player... 😉

paragraphs, dude. paragraphs.
Take a break dude
Tim was a machine old stuff rules
Manifesto much? lmfao
Jay Lane is one helluva drummer (but Tim is my favorite with Primus) I think Jay is touring right now with Wolf Bros and my boy Don Was.
I had no idea they were even down the road. ARGH
let me play drums
Yeah, 666th like :)
Les and his freaking chimpanzee hands. Life is better on bass with mitts like that for sure. Looks like we got the new drummer for Primus here.
Get your hand out of the way person who is holding the beer and a phone.
Is Sebastopol CA where this show has been for 15 (?_ years? Primus Sucks!
Coke bump at 30:27. Then black out to hid another? Lol
nah, dumbest drug ever, no thanx
@TopHatTapes no judgment here.
