Thank you so much for this! Unfortunately I can never attend these shows as I am living on the other side of the ocean but this still shows how amazing these NYE parties are, you are a legend!! ❤❤❤
@ Yeah, I live in Turkmenistan now so it would be difficult to make it to Oakland, California for New Year’s!!! Once upon a time in 1998-1999 as well as 1999-2000 I did find myself jamming out to the Colonel on NYE in the Bay Area… ‘‘twas long ago!!!!
Unfortunately no. I regret not going the 2nd night too. When I bought the VIP tix for the 30th, I thought, well I’ll just go that night, and stay home and off the roads on the 31st… bad call lol
Some songs didn’t make it as I try not to film the entire show for two reasons: 1) I like to be in the moment as much as possible while still filming for posterity - which is a fine balance, and 2) people need to experience Claypool in person ;) In fact, I actually filmed a lot more of this show than I typically do. Hope you understand, cheers!
@@Dancetorendance no worries, I thought they just didn’t play those songs. You did a fantastic job filming this, thank you. I’ve seen Les play a few times in his different bands, it’s a great show. I saw him play the awakening but never running the gauntlet, so I was hoping that song was in the video.
I have no idea what year it currently is, as my space time continuum is off by about 20 years, when, in the mid 2000s I traveled through the 4th dimension and jumped timelines.

Great footage, did you happen to attend night 2 as well?
Unfortunately no. I regret not going the 2nd night too. When I bought the VIP tix for the 30th, I thought, well I’ll just go that night, and stay home and off the roads on the 31st… bad call lol
hendershot on the upright bass
One of my all-time favorite songs.
There was a time when we could actually mosh to primus..
There was definitely a pit that night. I didn’t film it as I was on the railing, but there is video out there of said pit.
Who is on drums for the Primus bit?
Nevermind, it's Brain
Do we know who’s playing drums for this show?
I know that Brain was drumming for Primus at least, and I think for Limbo too, but there was a second. At one point, there were two drummers on stage.
Vinnie Paul
No “The Awakening” or “Running The Gauntlet”?

@ Thanks man! The set list towards the end of the video after Primus’ last song.
Whose drumming for primus?
The one and only Brain!
BRAIN!!!
Tool and primus created there own funky Genre. if you listen to tool ot primus alot of similarities.
Fun fact: first time I saw Tool was at a Primus NYE show in Oakland… yeah, Im old.
Is this the right year?

No Restin’ Bones?
Oh its there, in part, you just have to believe in the easter bunny 🥚🐰
@@Dancetorendance It actually worked!
@@Than_While_Gyle sneaking restin bones in there? Yeah, I tried to record it, but the security kept blocking the camera so I gave up.
Primus sucks.
So did my ex, but at least Primus is good at it 😅
Primus suck
Yeah buddy!
Primus sucks!!!!
Hell yeah brotha!
Primus is past their prime, the performance is sparse & lame🙈.
Im past my prime too, so Primus works for me lol
