Glad I got my GTS 4.0 in a stick last year. Guess if I want a similar NA/manual transmission experience in a new car it has to be a GT3 touring in the future. Barring that, a 911T as a consolation prize.
There's probably a chance that Porsche may offer a manual in the following year, like they have done before. Right now, owners are hoarding their manuals and refusing to upgrade. Lightly used GTS and S models with a manual are selling at a big premium. Makes for a terrible time to try to pick up a CPO manual 911.
Buy a Corvette Z06. It sounds better, looks more supercar exotic and is faster and cheaper. Improved steering feel and a better interior, just to have a Porsche…..I’ll keep my Z06.
@ you only make my argument stronger, so buy a used Z06 even cheaper and destroy the overvalued 911. And of course the irony is you can’t afford any of these cars…..
Let me explain. The dot 2 is just a mid-cycle refresh of the 992 which is the current gen of 911 that replaced the previous 991 gen. The next gen will be the 993. •991.1 & 991.2 = previous 911 •992.1 & 992.2 = current 911 •993.1 & 993.2 = next gen 911
@@lordmaster5522 Small correction: the next generation will be called the 994.1 and 994.2 since the 993 moniker was already taken in the 90s. The price of a low mileage 993 Carrera S will approach that of a loaded 992.2 Carrera S.
By the time a 2025 Carrera S depreciates to my idea of affordable, it will be 2050.
Can’t buy a GT Porsche so T is the only manual option.

On pricing, parent VW has to cover all the losses on the EVs.
Drove a base Carrera recently and wasn’t impressed with the feel of the car compared to my 991.2 Carrera. Hope this one is better.
“New Turbos”? The same new turbos that are in the .2 Carrera and Carerra T?
50k increase from just a few years ago, driving customers to BMW, Corvette, and others. CHINA, we need an affordable Sportscar.

For me still 911 Dakar 😍😍😍
Vroooom
They could have added the LeMans key for that price at least
I have a 2025 911 and my brakes are squeaking like crazy
I hope they do a Carrera S 4.
No manual? Carrera T here we come
no manual is a bummer.
newsflash, there is no manual because almost no one is buying it anymore
Yes, but if it were a 6 Speed, more would have bought it - I also took the pdk over the 7 Speed, cause the 7 Speed was a bit awkward 😅
PDK is a manual. Tiptronic S in the Cayenne is an automatic.
@@jonwarshawsky5288an automatically shifting manual isn’t what he was talking about.
Porsche has lost their minds on pricing
And yet they can sell every one they make. Why would they sell them cheaper?
@ haven’t made any of them yet so hard to make that statement
@@simono6520 because they limit production

Yeah and will depreciate like a rock. At the end of the day you still have a Chevy😊

stop complaining and buy you a Porsche :-)
Why so ,so expensive
991.2 911 model is PEAK Porsche 911... Just like the E39 M5 was PEAK BMW M5... 992 .1/2 are just fast computers for $200k after taxes..
I can see you “minored” in Economics; not Majored
Don’t know how this “dot” thing got started, but it’s completely ridiculous. It’s 992 point 2, or 992 mark 2.
Not “dot” 2.

he meant the correct pronunciation is “nine nine one POINT two”
