My first Citizen was purchased by window shopping in 1973 and the thing was on my hand one year later. I was 14 at that time. I was wearing it on a trawler at the west coast of Greenland when I was 15 and by acident it fell of my wrist and in to the big boiler where the prawns get their last trip before freezed. I got it back after 8 min and it was ok. 3 years later it was stolen from me at the gym and I still miss my green friend. Later I was trough Seiko Timex TAG Omega Casio etc but in my heart I was a Citizen. Today I have several of them. Aqualand JP2000-67L (Cal. C520)..etc but my absolute favorite The Promaster NY0129-58L (Blue with stainles steel and adjustment bracelet) never gets of my wrist. I know what quality means when to do dirty and hard work and yes I'm a diver from army background. Citizen are up to the challenge and every watch I know they label as a diver are good enaugh for all of us. But what I want to say is this: The NY0129-58L and all of the sisters and brothers in this series are coming stars on the fashion side of the market in a few years. It's a classic that still have to be discovered. Buy one. You will not regret.
I purchased the black & gold version of this watch in Australia a year ago. (NY0125-83E) This comes standard with a stainless steel bracelet but also looks great with a black rubber strap.
I purchased the NY0129 on bracelet off of Amazon on the special invitation deal for only $199 . It’s a really great watch from Citizens. It has a Seiko 62mas vibe to it but also a reminds me a bit of the SKX as well. It’s definitely a serious contender to the Seiko Prospex line of watches but much more affordable. I also own a citizens NY0086 Fugu on bracelet as well. I just hope citizens keep making more affordable divers ISO rated automatic divers like this one .
Have one on a black nato strap and I have to say it's my new favorite watch. Has that fujitsobo or mas style for a comfortable price. It shows much nicer in person, not a fan of the rubber strap but I knew I was changing it.
I have the yellow dial on the bracelet and it’s fenomenal. The bracelet and clasp are leagues ahead of what Citizen and Seiko usually do at this price point.
I’ve seen they do actually sell these in the scuba tanks in Europe through the official channels. Just not from the grey market. I had to get mine from joma living in the uk and it came in the white box, same as yours

Great looking Citizen; reasonably priced - thanks for reviewing this one!

1:50 At first glance my thought was that it's Citizen's interpretation of the Seiko 62MAS.
I was just about to post that, agreed.
@@LeShark75 It's hard not to see when you own 2 of the genuine article. ⌚😎🤙
I own the NY0129 on bracelet and when I received mine I instantly thought 62MAS as well.
Very nice, thanks!

so glad its not eco!!!!!
Have you checked the accuracy of the movement with a timegrapher or app? Just curious how it’s running.

Listed on Jomashop right now for $192. So its available in the states also. 21mm, is a no go for any watch.
Jomashop is grey market so watch out.
Beautiful tool-diver. I'd just place it on a NATO and off for EDC duties.

The hands and the lume on the hands are off
How so? They look perfect to me.
21mm lugs make it an absolute loser. You’re stuck with that hideous 1980’e style rubber strap or a narrow selection of leather straps. Gross.
I couldn't disagree more and there are TONS of companies that have nice 21mm straps.
are you living in the stone age?
