Sir, I love your voice. I am experiencing a health issue which makes it hard to walk and get about so you have become a great joy in my life. I heard you state that some of your listeners are suggesting that you not fill in for female or foreign character voices, please don't give this up as I find these occasions in your stories very enjoyable to listen to. You have been a great find and I have passed your work on to others. God bless you and yours.
I actually think I won't be able to give up doing the accents. I read something and hear the voices that way so not to give them voice would be a terrible strain ;). Some say to give them voice is a terrible strain on their ears, but they can stroll on.
Couldn't agree more Tony 👏 👌 If people don't like what they hear then all i can say is "Jog on" plenty of other podcasts of inferior quality available. Please keep doing what you have been doing as the vast majority of us love what you do. Thank you.
I love when you’re laid back about it and hearing the dogs and stuff, because it feels like we’re all buds, you know? It’s more like a community, I feel. ❤
That was very eerie and creepy! Derelict boats and ships creep me out, don't know why. I've saved your stories to get me through my sleepless nights. Much appreciated.
The haunted haven was a most satisfying ghost story of the old school. I loved it. Just the kind of story for a rainy windy dark winters night. Maybe a dark Christmas night ghost story? This was excellent. Loved it.
As a person with a cat who has a TH-cam channel, I can verify that trolls and haters will insult us for any reason, and often for reasons they make up. It sucks, but there is no avoiding it. When your content reaches a larger audience, there is an increased chance of a d***head watching and commenting. The only thing to do is power through the negativity, keeping in mind the people who do enjoy your content. It takes balls to live stream like Tony has been doing. I'm happy to see him branch out, and the only way to become more comfortable with it is to keep doing it. My hope is that Mr. Walker enjoys doing it, and if he doesn't, the best thing fans can do is respect his decision. ❤
❤Thank you so Much Again!! I'm ill with the 'Flu now, ~having recovered from the pneumonia I'm feeling a little bit sorry for myself!! However, you have been able to take my mind off the Ailments,,, and for this I cannot Thank you enough!! Truly a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Narration, as Always!! Much Gratitude and Appreciation,❤ Andréa and Jasper. ...XxX.....
Fantastic Story! Excellent Storyteller. Very descriptive without over doing it. I actually got the chills and the ending was brilliant. Once again you brought the characters and story to life. Thank You for sharing your ramblings and life journeys with us. ❤
Exactly! I could see in my mind’s eye these men on the beach amongst the rocks seeing such an outrageous & horrifying sight & feel at second hand their terrible fright! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your narration is spot on. The right pace as well that allows the listener to process the information unrushed, build up a visual image and truly immerse. Many are rushed and progress at a prodigious pace! I love these and so glad I found them now I've become too lazy to read!
Beautifully read, as all your stories are. I love your explanations afterwards. Please keep on finding and reading as you really have a gift, love ya x
Just really enjoy this channel! You, jasper LeStrange from cryptic horror and ian from horror babble are my favorite narrators. And thank you for not being political. A rare and beautiful thing these days.
I love your accent(s). If someone doesn't, boot them; their loss. You keep living and growing and, if someone doesn't like it, they are obviously ignorant sods whose parents left them to be raised by wolves.
Ruby Doobie! Our Irish setter is named Ruby and we call her that! Also, ... Rhubarb, The Red Menace, a few other nicknames .... She's not a snorer though! Sleeps very quietly. Anyway, love the channel, including the post-perfornance commentary!
Good story! Would be more than happy to hear more from this author..who reminded me quite a lot of your own style of writing. I just finished 'The Roman' in your Further Ghost Stories, which I found really enjoyable, so will leave a review based on that 😊
Good this, the accent was fine :) Interesting to hear you were in Aber, I taught at Aber uni for 25 years (I took early retirement in 2020), My wife and I still live here... Great content as always, I enjoy your dialogues after the tale as much as the stories.
Loved listening to this one today! It really suited my mood perfectly! Thank you so much for yet another wonderful story! I was sure you did turn of a screw before as part of a bunch of stories put together, I really enjoyed the written version! Brightest of blessings Tony and have a fabulous weekend! P.S love your Welsh accent!🧡💛♥️
Vote for The Rats in the Walls if I'm not too late. Dreams is excellent, too, but not as nice to go to sleep to! You are m favourite audio melatonin :)
@49:25 - Glad to hear your mom is out of the hospital. I am 67. My mom lived to be 86. So I'm expecting to live that long at least. Here is a simple fact : If you do not work out - you will get weaker and weaker until you just die. Working out does NOT mean weights (like barbells or dumbbells - although I do have dumbbells). Weight is just weight. So a can of sardines or beans or maybe a bunch of leeks. See if maybe you can get her to lift weights with a bunch of leeks. Twelve repetitions is all it takes to make one set. You do the right arm, then switch and do the left. Get an easy book on how to do weights and get her involved. Weight lifting can do wonders for the human body. About Ulcers - they are curable. A long time ago (like the 1990s - heh - and THAT's considered a long time ago now - wow), a doctor in the US found a way to cure ulcers. The AMA drove him out of the US. He went to Australia. There he finished up his tests and found that there is a 'Y' shaped bacteria that invades the human body. It comes in through food we eat. The top part of the bacteria wiggles and makes the bacteria move. The bottom part is what digs through the lining of the stomach which then allows it to propagate outside of the stomach. Ok - what's the cure? See part 2 - NO! Heh. Actually, you have to have an injection of antibiotics. At the same time, you have to take oral antibiotics, last - you have to drink some Bismol (but no Pepto-Bismol - it has to be just Bismol). The two antibiotics attack the bacteria both inside (oral) and outside (injection) of the stomach. The Bismol is to help the stomach's lining regrow. That should help your mom immensely. Then get her to start doing exercises!
Given your workload I imagine it is impossible for you to read all the interesting comments/messages but I will leave this here for a bit before erasing it. I look forward to your chats after the readings. The bit of the author's history or a bit about the story. Then you chat about other interesting and sometimes related topics as well. This one struck me as particularly amusing because one of your tangents happen to coincide with what I was doing at the time. Right at the point you expressed bemused surprise at seeing the amount of hair missing atop your head, I was looking in the mirror with horror at the loss of hair atop my head. I did not laugh at the coincidence of timing, I was just reminded that we are all human with the same concerns regardless of gender, ethnicity, culture etc. Keep it up. Maybe next time I will be in Whitby purchasing a jet brooch.
I may see you there. I do try to read them all, but don't have time to reply to each one, not like in the old days when four men, a girl and their aunt used to listen
#44:02 - Shipping from the British Isles to America - I have ordered items before from Great Britain and even Germany. I do NOT know how they manage to ship to me, but it is no where near 40 pounds. Maybe there is a book rate? Or maybe they used UPS or FedEx or another shipping company? You were talking about people using Etsy in the United States - could you redirect the person TO Etsy here in the states via the web? (An auto-redirect command.) It could also be because of what part of the country you live in. Like here in the US, if you live way out in the middle of nowhere, in a small town some place - it can take more time and more money to get anything shipped via the mail. And then there are other problems - my ex-wife's mother and father live next to a small town and for some reason one of the postal people got mad at them. That person would intentionally misfile their incoming mail and then tell them that it never arrived and even send it back to whomever sent it with a "No such person" stamp on it. It took five years for the parents to finally get the postal service to come out, see what this person was doing, and fire the person. So now - ANOTHER one of the people there are doing the same thing because their friend was fired. Sometimes you just can't win. Anyway - check around and see if you can get a better deal with a different carrier.

I can't get enough of this channel. These stories, as good as they are, are made even greater by the flawless perfection of Tony's narration.

Thanks Tony,
I've been watching video of Storm Ciaran on the Cornish coast; shattering seas!
So a harbour town story was just the ticket.

This would make an excellent adaptation for television. I can see it set in a tiny Cornish fishing village.
