    I just finished up my 1979 Ford F-150 "Peterbilt Edition". Entirely upbuilt chassis, duallies, bumpers, and two different kinds of bed loads. Great video, I like how you don't blink an eye ripping into a classic antique casting. You've helped me get over that, and customize cars and trucks however I want, because the end result is always better. Love your customs, man. 👍

      Thanks. Some of them old Matchbox aren't worth anything and I'm not much on old Matchbox anyway, they're boring.

      Doesn't that cast give ya a little bit of a Chevy II / Nova feel? Id like to get another. Bet this made the Matchbox purist butt pucker! Surprised I didn't get a bunch of backlash for this.

    • @hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast5192
      @hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast5192 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OneSixtyFourRevival It definitely does. It gave me a 65 Chevelle/68 rambler feel. I was worried the purists would give me grief too,but all my viewers loved it. I need to make another one because mine went to a good friend in Tasmania. Im going some sort of pro street this time

    Great job, it still came out really nice in the end! It doesn't matter what you're working on, you can guarantee things screw up 2 minutes from completion, never 2 minutes after you start.

    Yes, I have many of those day with on diecast that I have been working on for months. I can’t get the paint right after 6 paint jobs and two vehicles bodies.

    You know my buddy has an Opel Diplomat he works for General Motors we happens if they have an LS in it the original 307 is yanked out of it and sits in his garage it's kind of cool he's got Corvette wheels on it it looks really neat kind of looks like a Nova on steroids

    • @OneSixtyFourRevival
      @OneSixtyFourRevival  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats kinda what I thought with this casting. Throw some badass shoes on it and some decent paint and she resembles an early Nova some what. Its got muscle car potential.

    The final paint looked great. Nice recovery. Just like Hodge's mentioned, I've also had customs that fight all the way. I currently have on that I'm doing and it's on it 5th paint job. I'm starting to get used to saying, "Ok. Back into the stripper you go." I'm beginning to think it likes the stripper. LoL Great work. Liked and Subscribed.

    As much as I was looking forward to the two tone, the final product did look more like a gasser than the original two tone. Still want to see something in a two tone, one of those old Chevys you got could be a candidate.

      I have around 25 project cars on the cutting floor, and around 6 or 7 that are mostly-maybe done, LOL! Most of the time I have a handful of customs in the works, then gravitate towards just 1 or 2 until they're finished. This is one great hobby. The guys at work will swarm around the table at lunch when I bring in a couple finished customs, like in school, when someone brought in something new.

      @@OneSixtyFourRevivalyes i agree looks sweet. i don't really know much about gassers but if this was a real car would it be a fibreglass body to save weight, welded metal for stability and protection or just purely for looks?

    • @OneSixtyFourRevival
      @OneSixtyFourRevival  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrLethal1986 gassers are basically regular old cars running on regular pump gas beefed up for the drag strip and are then classed by weight / power to even out the field. Google it and you'll find a complexed array of rules and regulations

    You made that Opel your b**ch ! The finished car is badass !
    I've had problem builds, it's a kick in the junk to get that far and have things go wrong.....that's when I step away and have a a-dult beverage and get back to it later.🍻
