BBI is kinda strange as far as DLCs go. On the one hand, it's without doubt the best part of the game enemy wise, with Daimon being the best boss. On the other hand, it completely breaks the balance and the economy of the main game, which no DLC should be able to do. These days, I play the main game for its story and characters, and for any action go to BBI. It's almost like two different games in one.
See if you look at it as normal dlc that would make sense but I see it as an expansion not a normal dlc. It's too big to be compared to dlc from other games even fromsoft has a hard time competing and ringed city is one of their best expansions period (before the nerfs where the game devolved into straight sword r1 spam) and I still think dark arisen is still arguably on par if not better than ringed city.
The lore that is slowly fed to us via The Senechal, The Duke, The Dragon Forged, Pawns themselves, all the wierdness of the Everfall...the DLC content. Makes me fall for this world more every time I play through the game again. My Arisen, fated to join the unending cycle, whether he wants to or not. Now with the announcement of DD2....I wonder what his fate was
It's likely we will be playing in a parallel cycle much like how Bitter black isle was home to its own dragon arisen cycle different to gransys's own cycle before it was corrupted to hell. I think we will be in a different land all together with little mention of Gransys.

This dlc is one of the best if not the best expansions ever to exist its this game's peak and makes me hope DD2 uses bbi as a blueprint for its next world

Thanks for this. Beat Dragon Dogma last night, but I was too burned out to continue Bitterblack Isle. I did manage to get to the Forsaken Cathedral. Really should have continued, since the story around BI was pretty interesting. High hopes that DD2 creates something similar, though less damage sponge enemies plz.

The video is called "A Dragon's Dogma DLC Retrospective", but you only talk about Bitterblack Isle. BBI never was DLC. DD had some DLC, which was some Quests, Weapons and Armour, Riftstones, and a new mode. All of those are included in DD:DA, but BBI itself was new to DA, it was never availalbe as downloadable content.

You havnt finished it....you didnt even get lv3 weapons/armor. The only way to get that is fight diamon 2nd form. You havnt even fought darkbishop/curse dragon. Different sets of enemies will spawn..if you go through it again... becuase it gets harder... You can also get LURE ( black cat)..enter the black/abby...and round of death...arena ALOT of different sets of enemies will reSpawns.. such as 7 living armor...or All 3 different type of dragons..and other flying creatures... It's More fun this way...or can be a major cluster F$#k of a fight if your not properly equiped.lmao On hard mode... On your way to fight diamon 2nd form....2 -ea different sets of dragons will spawns... Death or curse dragon will DROP in. ( sprayard) In falling city....2 ea magic dragons will spawn ( and SPAM magic the entire time) Just for kicks...the curse dragon or death will spawn in early, too.lmao BBI also has day/night cycle....different enemies will respawn accordingly. you're going to have to fight diamon 2nd form and death....at least 50 times if you want ALL lv3 weapons/armor GOLD FORGE. Or collecting Blood cystals can be fun ( the tail has to turn RED..RED) sometimes..your pawn will kill it before the tail turns red.lmao

Lv 3 armors are NONE and Augmented..Not only are there 16 different armor you can get...They'll also have random various augments..such as being about to carry more wiegth...Health regen or your panws.. cure faster or extend your magic attributes...That's on top of getting alot of duplicates. Dragons will only forge up to RED..You need items ( more than just 1-ea of certain items to get GOLD forge) That's you need to farm Death and diamon. You can purchase BAIT...set in the dust moon tower..to get curse dragon to respawn ( twice)....you get DEATH to respawn...You need to set bait when ALLIGATOR appears..instead of goblins. SAVE the game....Use GOD baine....SET BAIT. Roll/run to dustmoon tower ( you'll see a dragon) REENTER the room...Go BACK UP.. You'll hear the BELL TOLL DEATH Music... That's how you know death respawns....the MUSIC. You can also wear 2-ea RINGS, Master ring has various attribute. example..if you use fire/ice combo ring for MK. The CHARGE meter will go back and forth 3x...it'll last longer and stronger. My pawns are smart (A.I.)...becuase I trained them..or they fought darkbishop hundreds of times. I'll drop the curse dragon with 1-2 hit. Then I'll use SIGLE ( it acts like a SHIELD for my PAWNS). It provide a SAFE casting location for them..becuase it takes longer to cast magic.. such as grans meteor. Sorcerer runs into it. Cast giant LIGHTING ORB ( then walks around lit up) My MAGE...use the LIGHT WHIP I just light more canon BALLs..so she can whip it Sometimes my FIGTHER will use her SHEILD to deflect cannon ball ...like a RICHET My pawns can kill everything in the game by themselves..aside Diamon. She's smart enough to know i have a hard time shooting the magic dragon down as MK..she'll shoot it in the EYE down for me...if I buff her with holy.
