    Can you re-calculate Ru. It seems that is an error . it's not 2.761 but 0.13 please clarify

    • @ArjitChauhan
      @ArjitChauhan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes its 0.138*fck*b,,,, or simply
      dreq=underroot √Mu/0.138*fck*b
      Also he provided d less then d req, his selection will fail,, we always provide d greater than d req...
      So many mistakes in this video, please do not watch

    Sir, you haven't done the design of shear key. I mean, if the retaining wall fails against sliding, then on what basis you chose the size of shear?
    We have to consider the passive earth pressure acting on the shear key. Isn't that right?
    Please clarify

      U might have used different value of fy. I guess.
      And that may be the reason.
      Xu /d and Ru are constants.

      I might have missed to mention it here. I do all the calculation before recording. And you know that students like to watch short video. So, i try to make it short by skipping some calculation steps.

      (Ru= ? & in Reinforcement of stem the value of Mu=?)To get it clear this will be the more than happy. :)

    hi. i think i missed something. how do i design the shear key?

    • @Civillearningonline
      @Civillearningonline  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes step to provide shear key is at the end of this video.
      And we need to provide shear key when our retaining wall fails in sliding.

    • @yenmercado5163
      @yenmercado5163 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      hmmm. the value of the design constant Ru, when doing it in the calculator, yields different value.

    • @Civillearningonline
      @Civillearningonline  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do me a favor .
      Try to calculate the value by splitting it up.
      As Ru is a constant so its value must not vary.

      Retaining wall se related formula aap ko yaad rakhna hoga.
      And agar aap kuch numerical solve karoge to apne aap aajaye ga.
      Bas ye video dekho aur copy me note karte jao and note karne k badh kuch design khud se try karna aisa karne se yaad hojaye ga formula.
      And code Is 456 use kiya tha jis me ye formulas nai he.
      Practice karne se formula khud yaad ho jaye ga.
      Best of luck.
