Sir, you haven't done the design of shear key. I mean, if the retaining wall fails against sliding, then on what basis you chose the size of shear?
We have to consider the passive earth pressure acting on the shear key. Isn't that right?

I might have missed to mention it here. I do all the calculation before recording. And you know that students like to watch short video. So, i try to make it short by skipping some calculation steps.

Try to calculate the value by splitting it up.
As Ru is a constant so its value must not vary.

Bas ye video dekho aur copy me note karte jao and note karne k badh kuch design khud se try karna aisa karne se yaad hojaye ga formula.
And code Is 456 use kiya tha jis me ye formulas nai he.
Practice karne se formula khud yaad ho jaye ga.

Formula are as per the code. In exam code is not allowed. But once you practice the examples you will not need to recite formula.

Then why you are going for more spacing than required sir? Because of this Ast also will become less than required which is not in the rule of design right?
