Oh crap, that's a mess, I got a tip you'll like, get some tape, some newspaper or cardboard, fold a V in it and tape it behind the drain plug, no mess, been doing that since the 70s, I like to drain oil hot.
Brother, my stomach hurts still from laughing so hard at your oil spill. I still can’t stop laughing!!! 😂😂😂😂😂 thanks for the chuckle!!! Your the man!!!! 👍🍺 SLICK
Amazing that you are in TN. I live in Scotland but have been to stay with my SO in Nashville 4 times last year, next in June, and this time I'm renting a HD for a couple days to tick riding a Harley in the US off my bucket list! Ride safe
Thanks for the shout out and great video. You changed the fuel filter so maybe the fuel wasn't to the carb yet, damn thing probably cranked up right after the video ended, like you said. Your bike is just camera shy, lol.
bought an 82 FLHS that lived under a fir tree in Washington state for $1,800 in 2018, did a full refurb including a S&S 88" kit I picked up new in box at a swap meet before I bought the bike, on tear down this bike was totally screwed by the previous owner, he had used thin hardware store washers on the trans studs that mount to the plate, trans plate was broken on all 4 corners, inner primary was cracked as well as outer, lots of stripped out threads, pile of washers on the rear axle for spacers, if it could be done wrong it was, got about 50,000 trouble free miles on it now, still don't have to add any oil between 3,000 mile changes. if done right these things are very dependable.
Hell yeah man. Newer subscriber here and videos like this are what made me want to start a channel. I think I need to start talking in mine 😂. Keep the jockey shift bikes alive man! ⛓️ Jockey shift forever! ⛓️
So glad to see you. Spent the weekend tearing the front end of my bike. Got some shiny new parts. And lots of swap meet parts. Between you, slickhead, Ralph and gus. And let's not forget PACIFIC MIKE! I did it pretty much by myself . With supervision from Toby, of course!
Glad you got the package Hippie! Have fun with it. Thanks for the shout outs, to all the 4 horsemen ..ha ha Looking at snow on the way for the weekend here. Not riding season yet. But I get my fix through you guys. Congrats on the growth !!
Yeah I feel the same way I'll ride around on the old chopper myself a hardtail with straight drag bars and a solo seat with no springs even though I got a hardtail LOL meanwhile I broke my back in 2010 in two places still love my choppers I'm just here in Alabama in Huntsville we should get together and ride but I love your channel
Am a hard drive dealer were I order all my parts from Hard drive lol really good oil and cheap parts panzer told me you forgot pull oil cap off so it drain right another killer videoty for shout out and am first poster
Man I do love your videos, they help me a whole lot. Would you possibly have any idea where I might possibly find a wrap around chrome oil tank in good condition. I need one for a rigid Santee straight leg frame. I'm stumped trying to run up on one that doesn't have the internal oil filter mount. Everything that I see that will fit my fame has the mount. I'm planning to have the filter at the front of the engine. '91 Evo motor. Thanks for any help! Greg Edwards
Wats up hippie , wot plugs did you use for it? My damn shovels only running rear cylinder so I gotta look at all that. I’ve got Champion RN12YC in there 1340 kick only running points !
Man the wayit sounds, next month were gonna be watching you put a cat on your choppers. This E.P.A. stuff has me all twisted up. I even had a couple dreams about it. Why why why ?!?!?!?! Why cant they just leave us alone ??? Our bikes are efficient, low production, we are a very small percent of vehicles on the road. Its a evil game they are playing.
If you just built the motor, why would you need rings @ 500 miles ? Why wouldn't you check your points gap while you had the plugs out ? What happened to pulling the carb bowl ? At least the oil change went smoothly 😂 Holy shit, this was my first time watching & it was a train wreck. I'm going to watch a couple more, maybe you were just having a bad day 🤔
I never said I just built the motor you goober. I said I will need to build it this winter. You clearly don't know old bikes you RUB!!! FYI your mom doesn't think I'm a train wreck. Don't bother watching anymore. Find a Honda channel

1340 you should be using a Long reach plug. On a 1200 it's a short reach plug

Nice vid hippie David Mann tribute one of the cleanest shovels out there any one know the song at 32:45
Never mind found the song 👍🏽
hey, hippie where do you get your super b throttle cables from ?
You can use almost any cable. The carburetor end is just the end of the cable held in place by a pinch bolt
Question: why the SS on the tank?
It's means sleepy Sunday;)
