  • Parts on order for the Knucklehead Topend oiler, so, lets attack this clutch control on the Shovelhead roadbike. It's taking more effort to operate than I would prefer.

    Again Professor Mike, you are my favorite HD master mechanic. PHD in tutorials. Thank you for passing this information on to the younger generations to come. Keeping history alive. That being said when you have time could you post a video on the rear juice drums. Tons of stuff on mechanical but nothing on rebuild or adjustment. I know it’s super simple, but I know people would love to see it in your catalog. The shovels are the new pans and the twins are the shovels and so on. I don’t prefer anything that doesn’t run in a carb like the old guys used to say about swing arms. lol. But to each their own. This stuff is just getting rare so if you could help the entire community as usual. Thank you brother. Much love. Ride safe and Merry Christmas. so the jacket fits their shoulders & their trousers hang just fine.
    Whether over-centre mousetraps, or push rod floated springs,
    their angle of free-dangle, will amount to many things.
    For ease of use, or wrist abuse, the answer's in your hands,

    • @pacificmike9501

      That final belt drive trans is probably worth some serious money. Yes, I'd much rather have a ratchet lid trans. You can change what you have to chain sprocket, with spacers. Just remember that it has the longest mainshaft of any of the fourspeeds.

Rebuilt it in '78 as mainshaft was bent too, still works great. Picked up the sidewinder top at a swap meet cheap around '82 with no research I stupidly thought the case was the same and I could swap tops and final gear, Finally retired and lining up some old projects I just never got around to. Hey Mike, off topic question that I’m hoping you might point me in the right direction.
    I have a buddy in San Diego who is a retired Marine. His best friend, another retired Marine, is in poor health and is pretty much confined to a wheelchair.
    They both love to ride, but due to his friends restrictions, he is unable to any more.
    My friend, Jon, had the idea of a side car that would be able to fit the chair into and get the guy back into the wind and ride with him once again.
    It got me remembering the few you put out about the sidecar you had on your bike for a short period of time to take your dog on rides.
    Do you know, or maybe someone else reading this know, is there a manufacturer that sells such a set up? I don’t believe a regular sidecar is an option and I really don’t know the requirements for securing a wheelchair in a sidecar, especially in Southern California.
    If you or anyone might have a lead I can pass on, please let me know.

    • @pacificmike9501
      @pacificmike9501  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I remember years ago, there was a bike with a sidecar in Ventura (That's where I saw ir) that had a sidecar chassis and a flat surface. The wheelchair rolled up into the sidecar. It was just a sidecar chassis with the body removed. I would contact the Vet's clubs in the San Diego area. There are some wonderful Veteran's Motorcycle clubs.
