Hello again, RCT!! I can't get over how well they wrap both the board and each individual piece in several layers of foam sheeting as if they anticipated the worst incompetence from shipping and handling workers! Sometimes you can tell how justified it was by the wear and tear on the package surface! Royal Chess Mall is an excellent company all-around!! The bags for the board and pieces are also a nice touch, but I would get RCM's padded coffer box for the pieces!! A bit expensive, but worth it!!
Thanks for the comment! I agree, the wrapping is very safe and you can be sure they will arrive in the best condition. A padded coffer box is a great option for storage 👍
@@RandomChessTalk, it is!! I got one for the Chavet set in antiqued and ebonized boxwood that you reviewed two years ago and I acquired through the link you left.
Hello and merry Christmas and happy new year. Good to see you back 🙌. I love your enthusiam. Royal Chessmall is a great company I've bought from many times. They have fast shipping to Canada
Nice review and unboxing video. I know that you get a lot of your stuff from Royal Chess Mall. However since you are open to owning a 3.3 inch set. Would you ever consider getting the 3.3 inch Canadian Staunton set from Chessbazaar? Maybe not at it's current price but maybe in the future when the price comes down?
Curious that one of the white knights has shorter manes on the left side! Not unexpected per se (some Soviet knights only have manes on one side for instance), but then I would have expected the same feature in the other knights.

Thanks for tuning in!
So good to see you back! Happy holidays 🎉
Happy to see your comments again :D enjoy holidays 🌍
For the chessboard bag, the term you're looking for is Velcro.... essentially hook and loop fasteners. 👍👍
I appreciate it! Thanks 👍

Great eye for the details you have! Yes now I saw it too, it's possible to expect some minor differences in economy-level pieces like this one :)
